abbiamo dormito nella stanza stile giapponese tradizionale (si futon). lo spazio con cucina dove potersi preparare te e chiacchierare con gli altri ospiti. vicinissimo alla stazione

Comfortabel thuis

Een hele fijne plek om te verblijven. Het personeel is heel gastvrij en de locatie is top. Het ligt heel dicht bij het busstation (en ook bij het treinstation trouwens). De gedeelde woonkamer is gezellig en biedt genoeg plek. De gedeelde keuken is enorm groot met zelfs twee kookpunten. Alles is heel schoon en overzichtelijk. De fietsverhuur per uur is ideaal, net als de bagage opslag. Vrij dikke futonmatrassen ook. We mochten ook laat op de avond inchecken, de sleutel ligt dan voor je klaar. Wij waren heel tevreden.

Everything you'll ever need from a hostel

Location is perfect, so close to Takayama station and intercity bus terminal. Easy to find! Plenty of places to eat around it too. Bed and room are amazing. Very comfy so it's really hard to get up early in the morning. Very clean, decently spacious and organized with full size kitchen! You can cook your own meal if you want! They have affordable washing service, 1 free washing coupon if you stay at least 3 days with them. They have affordable bike rental too. I think it's the best way to explore the town. After check out, they can keep your baggage/luggage for free until 20.00 (8pm) of the same day; plus using the kitchen and common area. Last but definitely not least, staff are very friendly and helpful!

Please be adviced that even though the upper levels are accessible by elevator, the lobby is at 2nd floor and you still need to take the stairs to get there.

Nice hostel to stay in well located

Really nice place , location and friendly helpful staf . Small kitchen and living room . Old authentic house that is renovated . Close to center and station . Made some new friends , nice to meet new people . Safe place .

The hostel room was bit outdated and small . Was okay for the price . Bit difficult to leave luggage ( no locker )

Lovely! Everything you need and still traditional

We wanted to try a traditional japanese room... And it definitely didn't disappoint! We recommend it for anyone who wants to get a genuine feeling of just enjoying your stay. There was no TV in the room, but that just made it much better because we enjoyed our time in the evenings talking or reading. The staff was great (they were very nice) and the accommodation had a common area where we could drink tea or coffee and enjoy the room (which was beautiful). The location was perfect. Walking distance to everything we wanted to visit. We recommend it for sure!

Probably the best deal if you go to Tacayama (which you should).

The location is close to the train station and the old town. It's a very pretty train ride to there. And the hairdresser across the street does a fine job.

Would be nice if they offered tours, snacks etc.

Although the accommodation is a hostel, but it is comfortable. Near the main points of the city, the price is reasonable, the staff are lovely.

Extremely good location. Tiny and warm hostel. Staffs speak English and are overall friendly. Good atmosphere.

Luggage storage time after check-out only starts at 8am (when the staff starts to work). Not convenient.

The place is really quaint and cozy. The staff is very friendly. I regret not being able to stay more days.

I would've appreciated more bathrooms, specially just two showers for two whole floors seems a bit scarce. But worked OK for me in the end.

Very good

Location was great, very close to the train station and to old town Takayama. Basic but functional rooms. The room was big. The kids loved the bathtub.

Be aware that there is no elevator from the ground floor to the next floor where the reception/lobby and common room/kitchen are.
