Location was excellent - could walk to Sintra and not have to worry about driving there. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was quiet. Breakfast was very good.

Schöne alte Villa mit wunderschönem Garten. Historischer Stadtkern gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Zimmer großzügig. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Location was great and friendly staff

Although a slightly dated facility, the hotel makes up with the location, the garden and hospitalities.
The access with a car is probably not everyone's cup of tea, but doable ! Facilities are dated.

very quiet, good location
the hotel has two buildings, the rooms from the adjacent building (to the main one where the reception is located) probably are not used often thus they have a strong smell of old furniture.
Breakfast was very basic.

What a beautiful garden with swimmingpool! It’s stunning!
The madams are really friendly. The room was clean.
Room 29 is directly connected with room 28. There is just one door in between. Therefore the room is noisy.

spacious rooms, pool, breakfast room

Beautiful gardens.
Not yet warm enough to use the pool.
There is an excellent tapas restaurant within walking distance.
There is a bus stop a short walk down the road to take you up to the castle.
The decor is somewhat dated but quite appealing and the hall had a bit of a musty smell (which could have been caused by the fireplace on the main floor which looked like it had been used recently.
Parking in the courtyard area is tight.

Everything was more than perfect. I've been going to this hotel for over 10 years and to be honest, it never disappoints. It is a bit old but it has its charm. Love the views, the location, how quiet it is, and how extremely nice everyone is. The breakfast is excellent.
Nothing.

The location is excellent, the room was spacious with very high ceiling and the common areas are outstanding especially the fireplace.
I found the bed a bit too hard for me and the breakfast a bit limited.

Loved it’s vintage, however, well kept building structure. Beautiful gardens and great swimming pool. Every single member of staff are kind, hardworking and great hosts. Breakfast was just right. Loved the cosy chimney and wonderful soft background music. Should I return to Sintra I will definitely stay there again.
Liked everything.

A beautiful historical mansion with a great land around. Definitely a must see location near Sintra.
Rooms a bit shabby and require more attention. A very modest breakfast.

Beautiful building and grounds. Perfect location. Let us store our extra bags there, even after checkout. Nice old world feel.

Stunning location in the hills above Sintra. The house within which the hotel is set is full of character with beautiful gardens. The staff were very helpful and continental breakfast was of good quality.
Nothing . The obvious downside to the location is its accessibility to the main town at night. This however goes with the territory of staying in such a wonderful setting.

Gorgeous place with very helpful and informative staff. A true gem 30 minutes from the center of Lisbon. Chic interior design, large outside area, great swimming pool, nice parking lot and breakfast. We'll be coming back!!
The gates were narrow, but was possible to drive in. Other than that the breakfast could have been served outside.

The breakfast was diverse and had plenty of options. The service was friendly and good. The rooms were old style hotel rooms, quite spacious but with all comfort.
I would have liked to use the pool, but I will have to wait until the next visit. It was a little bit too cold for that.
Nothing to complain about.
4.0 / 5.0
Beautiful stunning gardens and location, staff extremely friendly and helpful, lovely old house with character and good breakfast.
Creaky floorboards as expected with an old property but meaning you can hear everything from fellow guests rooms as not carpeted just rugs. No tea/ coffee in room.
