Please wash your bed cover it's very dirty

I like the location and staff they are friendly

I don't like the bed because very bad yellow like they never wash them 😞😞 I feel very unhygienic with bed it's dirty and yellowish in colour

It was my second stay within 1 year. Staff are very helpful and polite.

Staff and the location. The greeniness is the plus point.

The best stay in Kathmandu

Everything. The location and ambient is artful. Was there last year. Still the best. The service is superb. Nice staff members. A great experience. If you are in Kathmandu go here.

Great Value Stay for Hostel in Thamel

Enjoyed my stay at Wander Thirst! Incredible value for a nice hostel located in a good spot in Thamel. Plenty of open social areas which made it easy to meet other travelers. Beds were very comfortable and made for a good night sleep.

Social hostel with true backpacker vibe

There is a really social, funny and friendly backpacker vibe on the hostel. And the hostel got its own bar and restaurant to affordable prices.

It's not always so clean and the big dorm on top - although with beautiful views - is a bit messy and I its really bright from the sun in the morning cause of the lack of curtains.

Great hostel

Lovely staff, good food and bar nice social area to chill and meet people. Not a noisy location but located a short walk from the bars and restaurants of Thamel. I Would recommend it

Great hostel with best patio

The patio is amazing, good food, nice people, great vibes

7:30 in the morning the cleaning personel would enter the room and turn on the light. Luckily it was only for q couple of minutes

Wander Thirst was an excellent, comfortable and fun stay.

The staff were incredibly friendly and always made me and my friends feel welcome. The stay is a 5 minute walk from the main tourist strips in Thamel. The food, rooms, beds and staff were exceptionally excellent. They provide cheap laundry services, free printing services and will help you book bus tickets around Nepal. Wander Thirst is an incredible hostel and to me, feels like a second home.

The upstairs mixed dorm has an incredible view of Kathmandu, however, there are no curtains so you may be woken up early unless you have an eye mask.

The perfect place to relax and unwind in the crazy city of Kathmandu.

I loved my stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, you don't hear the motorcycles or the sound of the busy thamel neighborhood, inside the hostel is a peaceful place with a waterfall and many plants, hammocks, bonfires and places to relax. There is also a restaurant with super friendly staff. The beds in the shared dormitories have privacy, light and plug with two usb input. They also keep your stuff for free if you go to the surroundings or some trekking and then come back. We stayed with my sister for two weeks and we will definitely repeat!

I had a hard time understanding how to regulate the temperature of the showers but I finally mastered it. The toilets are sometimes covered with paper because the pipes in Nepal can't support it and it is difficult for some people to understand that you have to throw the waste in the baskets, but this is not the fault of the accommodation of course.

Slow service but nice vibes

Location was good and there was a nice area to relax in. Food and drink menu was really varied and decently priced.

Great location, but hostel could be cleaner.

Really good location and staff were nice.

The hostel itself was a bit grotty. The room was ok but sheets and towels were stained and the shared bathrooms were unclean. Overall it was ok, definitely not the worst, but I think there are nicer places for a similar amount of money.

Perfect place to rest!

Really cool place with friendly staff! Location is really good, situated in the heart of Thamel! Also they provide good excursions and trekking tours!

Value for money

Location is very near to airport and bus station to Pokhara. the bus station to Pokhara only 5 minutes walk only. Don't bother the touts to bring you to the bus station..they provide airport pickup and drop.off but it's best if you can use indrive apps or book a prepaid taxi from airport. It's a lot cheaper. The price of one dorm room is affordable, the check in is very fast. They have a huge common area to hangout with the rest of the travellers. They provide good food and beers and drinks. Feels like you don't need to get out from the hostel. The environment is quiet in the afternoon..can just lay down at the common place and do your own thing. The reception is friendly. I arrived 5 am in the morning and they let me come in the common place to wait as that town opens up around 630am. They have a very special room where you can view the city. I wake up looking at the stunning view. Toilets are clean They have in house trekking company, u may opt for them to book a hike.

wifi is the only problem here. You may use your own cellular wifi, it's quite affordable in Nepal. And no towel provided

Wonderful hostel would recommend

Amazing hostel, lovely rooms and really nice hangout areas. Friendly staff and great food.

So from the get go the tour guides ask you every day which hike are doing, do you want to book with us and felt abit full on. I get it’s a business and people need to make money though I don’t really want to be asked multiple times especially when I’m trying to enjoy a morning coffee. I would recommend at check in just letting people know where to go as I know a few people in the hostel felt they needed to avoid some of the guides especially after they’d been on the beers.

Idéal pour s'acclimater dans Thamel

Le personnel est très accueillant et sympathique. J'ai pu demander de nombreux conseils, et on m'a aidé pour réserver des bus etc. L'espace extérieur est très agréable, il est facile de faire des rencontres. Petits déjeuners inclus Aussi possible de se servir en eau potable. Du confort à la népalaise !

Comfortable stay with all amenities.

Staff were super nice, big common area with all kinda of sittings and cushions. Wifi is perfect here if you compare with other hostels. I had trouble with wifi at other hostels.

I wouldn’t go again or recommend.

The staff were friendly, that’s the only thing I liked.

The room was small but that wasn’t issue, it was the partition. I could hear everything from the next room. Also it was so noisy, all night and morning. I reached pretty late but the neighbor place was noisy and there was someone shooting in the morning. Room didn’t have fan, the toilet wasn’t attached as mentioned in the Booking.com. Even the shared toilet was always packed, didn’t have tissue, didn’t have anything and was jammed. There was no water in the room either, the pillows were dirty, the bedsheet had holes in them. I mean for around Rs. 1450, I’ve stayed in a much better place. Even the alley to reach was so shady.
