Beautiful location, excellent health club
Creaking floors
3.8
Spa facilities.
Room was outdated, shabby and old, not a 4*.
3.8
Comfortable well-equipped room, and spacious bathroom. Everything worked well.
Restaurant, OK first evening, but 2 bus parties spoilt the second and third evening. We had to find a waiter to give 2 meal requests on the second evening, and it was impossible to book for the third evening: bus parties again. Too late, so we ate in the bar.

Location was perfect, staff friendly and very helpful, room beautiful, spacious and clean and spa facilities lovely, lounge bar food delicious and male staff member wonderful very friendly
Spa facilities in need of a little renovation, tv wasn’t working in our room, car parking area very dirty, breakfast not 4 star to match hotel; male member of staff kept leaving drawer open behind us so we had to be careful not to hurt ourselves on it when we got up and hot food cold
3.8
Location and staff and fellow guests . Very reasonable prices for food and drink .
Breakfast dining room like a dungeon with a lovely sunny room closed off . Decor could be nicer . Breakfast could have been better . Staff were lovely though
3.8
Room excellent with lovely view.
Food typical hotel fodder
Restaurant food quite ordinary

Great location on the seafront, very close to the centre.Breakfast was very nice with plenty of various extras available.Evening meal menu had an excellent wide selection of dishes and all very tasty and cooked perfectly.Staff were cheerful, ever helpful and very friendly. It also has a really pleasant looking and very comfortable lounge bar.It lives up to all it says and I'd certainly return to The Crown Spa on a trip to Scarborough and highly recommend it to others🙂👍

The location is great and the staff are amazing, very kind and always with a smile.
In my last stays the rooms weren't very clean-the carpets are always dirty. The spa is not in high standars either. It's really sad because I've stayed in this hotel so many times and years ago it used to be an amazing place....

The rooms were lovely would of liked a sea view but that’s just being picky the staff were all lovely we just really enjoyed our stay

Location was perfect
Housekeeping was poor. 1st room had hair on bed. I mean clumps of long hair about 5-8 strands under the pillow, I felt sick to lift the cover up and investigate further. This was on 3rd floor and the room was so hot. I could open the window as it was stuck. I was quickly moved to another room which was absolutely freezing. The room was cleaner but bathroom was disappointing. Housekeeping could have done a better job.

I drove to the hotel. When checking in staff pointed me to a council carpark rather than there own. I found there carpark myself and had to ask if I could park. Not good

Lovely spacious room, with beautiful views of the bay.

The location was good and the sea view amazing. The hotel was clean, bed very comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.
The pool water was too cold!…
The hotel while it was clean it was tired and in need of decorating and new carpets. The room and bathroom were definitely in need of a “freshen” up
3.8
The reception area was smart and nicely presented.
Food in the 'Taste' restaurant was fantastic.
Room 516 was poor and not what we expected.
The corridor carpet leading to the room was worn and dirty as was the bedroom carpet. The timber windows in the room were rotten with the draft seal hanging off and wouldn't close properly. Although the walls in the bedroom looked recently painted, the walls were bland and unattractive. Bedroom furniture was dated and scruffy with water damage to the unit where the kettle was housed.
3.8
Very pleasant stay in Scarborough
Nice walk into town and the lift back is excellent
Parking was easy £10
Slight issue with the restaurant which was discussed with the front of house
However our meal was very nice

Beautiful hotel but it needs some updating, I think management should check the cleaning around the hotel more. I noticed Cobwebs in the reception area and main glass doors with continued finger prints plus other windows around the property should be cleaned on a regular basis.
I paid a lot of money for the one night stay and it would be nice to see some added toiletries in the bathroom, I truly hope that the hotel gets a good renovation.
The hotel staff were amazing, and the food was excellent.
The hotel needs a renovation in regards to painting the rooms and structures but in saying that she is a regal beauty and with some care this hotel will shine.

Nice views. Amazing staff who went over and above for you.

Didn’t have breakfast this time.
Location a bit awkward, parking very busy.
Stood quite a while to check in, very lengthy on the computer.
3.8
The service was really good allowing us to leave our bags before we actually checked in so we could go and explore Scarborough. The room was really nice with all things you could need including hair dryer and iron ect and the use of the spa was incredible and it was included in the price.
I liked it all, would definitely stay here again and recommend.
3.8
Staff were lovely, really good location. The hotel had everything we needed
Room was very warm, even with windows open. The room and spa was very tired looking, needs an update. Room carpet felt dirty, things in the room were broken and worn.
3.8
Location is great and the spa facilities are amazing
We stayed in a king executive room and it was far from executive. Very dirty, dust on all surfaces, lamps in particular had months worth of dust gathered which triggered my astmah.
Every wall was heavily marked, dried food on carpet and dressing table, carpet had multiple stains and faeces on the bathroom floor.
Raised with reception team who were very dismissive, they said someone would contact me and they didn't so I had to chase them. Eventually I had a small refund but not the amount I would expect for paying over £170 a night.
Overall very disappointed.
3.8
Rooms were big enough.
Rooms need thorough cleaning.
3.8
Quality of room, very tired and not the room we paid for
Breakfast very poor , no black pudding , no mushrooms, no fried bread. Bed room very tired windows would not shut properly. And not the room we paid for.

Staff were massively helpful to accommodate wheelchair needs and we’d booked at short notice. We stayed because we were visiting the Open Air Theatre and this was a good location near to the railway station. The view from the front of the Hotel was great with views of the Castle, Sea and beach. I would like to stay again and perhaps try out some of the Spa facilities.
I found the bed a little uncomfortable, the mattress was too hard for me. The breakfast was good overall but the self serve grill type toaster was useless and there was no way to increase the heat. I didn’t give full marks for the room we were in either because the windows only had a lovely view of the drainage and the flat roof of the rest of the hotel. One lift was also out of order which meant as one of us is a wheelchair user, we had to wait a fair bit until it was clear in the morning.
3.8
We had a lovely sea view room with a very comfortable bed
3.8
Staff always lovely
Breakfast supplies were low and little choice
People in room above were noisy until after midnight and again around six am onwards the following morning
Downstairs in bar the hot drinks machine always remember to be switched off early evening
3.8
The welcome was lovely
not spotless, booked ahead as gluten free but no real provisions in place, ie biscuits in room as a consideration

Not a lot realy was disapointed
Slow service for breakfast was waiting 15 mins to be even served, staff was concentraiting on clearing tables, then was told if we had sat at a table for 2 we would have got served ,excsept only table available was the one we sat at ,I had continetal breakfast ,and there was 1 yogurt ,1 slice of cheese n 4 slices of ham and not much bread for £10.99 !! .we had a room that was £165 a night ,with out breakfast and it was small and more like £125 a night plus in the bathroom the lights that are special around the bath was away from bath and tileing and you could visually look behind them. It was disapointing as we visit this hotel a lot.

Good location for what I needed.

The location , the gym and spa
Just the restaurant was too quiet and too long between courses
3.8
The Spa facilities were excellent.
The room was good, but although we had requested a sea view, the room looked out onto an enclosed roof space. The windows were covered in bird mess. The people in front at check-in when they requested a sea view were given one. I didn't ask as I assumed they had read my request on booking. I guess I should have gone back to complain.

Superb location with stunning views over the South Bay. The staff are really nice and can't do enough for you. The whole hotel was immaculate. Whoever owns this hotel is definitely doing something right as all we saw from guests and staff were smiling faces. Three small steps outside and a ramp, so access is great for everyone. 2 lifts to all floors. We didn't use the spa facilities as we didn't bring our cossies, but we did have access if we wanted to. Our room was great, with everything you could want. En suite bathroom was, again, spotless, and even had a waterproof telly in there!! The breakfast was great. The lounge and bar were great. It was the best hotel we stayed in on our Northern Tour by a mile.
If I'm super, super picky, the TV didn't work (dodgy signal). A slight adjustment by me soon sorted it. Apparently, other rooms had the same problem, so it's probably been sorted now.
