Awesome views over the valley, warm, cosy room. Friendly staff, great meals, tasty breakfast. Beautiful old building.

Warm and cozy, lovely breakfast, nice view from our room.

Very friendly staff
The decor is authentic but a little tired
3.0
The location.Staff polite and friendly.
Room was very small and basic for the money we paid the bathroom in particular was very small burnt my hip on the radiator getting out the shower as not any room.
Staff didn't seem well trained as did not clear any glasses after bringing drink , also only part cleared plates not coming back for remainder. Food was mediocre.

Pretty building. Cosy vibe… but outdated. Nice bar and staff.
Old is nice, but not outdated. The facilities were basic and the room was cramped / cheap-feeling. We stayed in November and it was FREEZING in the rooms. Took 2-3 hours for the room to heat up and we ended up sitting in our coats in the room. My girlfriend got a fever after the stay. If you take a taxi from that location, expect a flat £15 to anywhere, even if it’s 3 minutes.

Excellent breakfast
Bed / room felt a bit squeezed for two. Bedside lamp only on one side.

Homely, welcoming and comfortable. Delicious hot breakfast of my choice, which included black pudding, trout and scrambled eggs.
No shower.

Genuinely Dog friendly
Because of where our room was situated there was no overhead shower
Limited parking, although there was parking on the road nearby

Very tired. needs a desperate refurb or at least a deep clean. paper packets of salt and pepper at a 4* is just not acceptable and no coffee machine!

Great location for where we were going. Lovely looking property with character.
Nothing of note.

Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were excellent.

Location, building. Excellent breakfast. Lovely evening food too - all freshly cooked and hot.
All staff were exceptional. Young man was superbly helpful - nothing was too much trouble.
Twin bed room was in the attic, in outside cottage: steep thin staircase!
Could not carry suitcase up so had to take clothes out of cases daily (left them in car).
Shower head was faulty, tap dripped. TV was basic with a poor signal that was suddenly lost ( empty screen).

Breakfast, location, friendly staff and warm welcom
Room was dirty with tired decor. Mould in bathroom and on windows. Few if any homely touches. Old-fashioned. Small and cramped. Bath valve didn’t work; tv remote didn’t work. Not worth £150.

An old fashioned hotel in a superb location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast.
Room was a bit small and had nowhere to put our clothes apart from a few hangers on a wall. Towel rail had been disconnected and the windows were crittall metal frames so a bit chilly in the bathroom.
