Great location for my requirements.

The room was lovely - very clean with good facilities.
The location is very isolated which isn’t a problem if food is served past 5pm! There was also no toilet paper in the en suite.

Great location and views. Comfortable bed.
Room was very shabby with all soft seating areas very stained. There were cobwebs everywhere, especially around ceiling lights. Bathroom also had a very unpleasant odour. The central heating boiler fired up at 5.30am and felt like a jet taking off. It disturbed our night’s sleep considerably.

Been here loads of times, amazing food, location and friendly staff.
On this occasion it was well below par, the room was freezing cold as the windows would not shut, it was dirty, some of the lights didn’t work, inc. extractor fan and there was so much noise from the door and above due to lack of insulation. Very disappointing compared to every other time I’ve been and it been perfect.
4.5
stayed here many times because the staff are very friendly and very helpful the rooms are good location is good short walk into Thornbury with plenty of pubs and restaurants
the only thing I could say is an issue is the Wi-Fi being poor I appreciate it’s an old build with thicker than normal walls

The shower was lukewarm. The towel rail was cold. The bathroom was cold.

Beautiful big room with very comfortable bed. The grounds are lovely being on a golf course.
Not the fault of the lodge but there were no taxis that would come out for pickup. Might be worth working with a local taxi firm to service the accommodation. It's a long dark walk into town in Winter for dinner/drinks as the clubhouse closes at 7pm.

Some staff were helpful with a smile
We stayed for 4 days and there was no bar fridge for my milk or drinks. We had to ask for extra things like toilet paper, tea coffee etc as room was not checked each day. There was not enough staff in the restaurant/reception so very long waits to check in check out or order breakfast etc

it is set in an old lodge on a golf course, the views are lovely and there is loads of wildlife around!
We left early morning, the clubhouse didn’t open until 7am and we had nowhere to leave the room card!
