Exceptional

The complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise and so yum. It was super clean. Loved the spa and jacuzzi. Also was nice to have the heating already on when we arrived. We will definitely stay again.

Quiet, cosy and very comfortable home away from home.

So much to like. Cosy and comfortable, good location, well equipped, very clean and the welcome touches all added to the positive experience of our stay. The host's communication and responsiveness to questions was immediate and helpful.

A couple of minor things, the shower recess leaked a little, and the main bed mattress was a little sunken and a tad too soft for our liking.

Relaxing family stay

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Baker's Retreat. It was so comfortable that the kids didn't want to leave each morning to explore southern Tasmania. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner and the BBQ area outside was perfect for our evening meals. We all enjoyed the jacuzzi at night before bed. The computer in the living room was helpful for googling places to go. The home is tastefully decorated and feels incredibly cozy. The property owner, Michael, was very helpful and welcoming. The home is just down the street from a fantastic French patisserie and Kmart/Coles are just a five minute ride down the road for picking up any necessities. All in all, this is a perfect place to make your home base in Hobart!

Tasteful, gorgeous retreat. Super family friendly.

Excellent property. My family loved the stay at Baker's Retreat and a real haven it was. We were visiting from New Zealand and found the property just outstanding. Loved the spa pool and the childrens play area, the kids loved it. The lighting outside by the deck with the lovely table and chairs was just the cherry on top. The home inside is beautifully and tastefully furnished. Just loved this property. Shopping centre down the road, handy location to town and to the highway leading to the airport. The furnishings and fittings inside the house are just wonderful.

Cannot fault anything about the property at all.

Kids loved the computer and outdoor spa, very homely stay, everything from the pantry filled with fresh bread and milk to the heaters on in each of the rooms and comfy beds. Was a great weekend away.

Wow!

The beds were VERY comfortable, the spa was great and every detail was thought of, even down to the robes. The place secure for my two year old to play outside. The place was the perfect family escape! Gorgeous!

A great intro to our Tasmania road trip

great accommodation - matt is a good host - he will provide you with the contact details of a reliable taxi driver - accommodation $15 taxi from the pier. A fully furnished three bedroom house with nice outdoor area including outdoor spa - relaxed setting - laundry facilities available - good heating - plenty of pillows, blankets, towels etc. - a very well presented residence with lots of quality finishes

cannot walk to the city but the bus stop is right out side the door.

The little extras were fabulous, bathrobes and slippers! Loads of towels. Everything needed for a quick easy breakfast, milk, bread (and pastries!) and a coffee machine. The outdoor area was a dream, the kids loved the cubby and the spa ❤️

We had a relaxing and enjoyable 4 night stay, the home is beautifully decorated and is fully equipped with everything that we needed. The Jacuzzi was amazing, just what was needed after a full day. Thank you Michael, Bakers Retreat is just as beautiful as the pictures. We will be back
