This hotel is managed superbly by Jean-Michel, a stand out in all our stay in France. Communication was excellent and provision for garage a bonus. Room and bathroom great. Lovely cafes out the door with views of the fortification of Carcassone.

Excellent welcome from very friendly staff. Good help with parking in the underground garage. Great location for bars and restaurants and for a short walk into the old or new city. Very happy to recommend this hotel to all for a happy visit to Carcassonne.
Really hard to find fault. If pushed, the beds are more firm than we are used to. This can be overcome by an extra glass of red wine before bed!

Such a beautiful spot, up a winding staircase to my first-floor room that overlooked a beautiful courtyard. I was within walking distance of everything I wanted to see -- and the excellent cafés and bistros recommended by the staff were within 100 meters. Just fabulous. Also, Jean-Michel went above and beyond and drove me to the train station when the taxi didn't show up. A thoroughly wonderful place where I'd easily stay again!

Breakfast was very good - lot's of variety. Room was spacious and very clean. Location was fabulous - only about a 15 minute walk to the main entrance to the medieval city.
Nothing.

Great location in the lower old town with clear driving directions & the onsite parking in secure private garage for €10/day was really handy. The roof terrace has amazing views of fortress & rear garden courtyard is lovely too - both spots are perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. Husband & wife owners spoke English & were very helpful with dinner restaurant suggestions close to hotel & up in the fortress town.

very convenient fort he cite
no lift/elevator. this is mentioned in the listing.

Bed and shower were great. I asked for a quiet room, someone was renovating very early and the noise woke us up too early so NOT a quiet room
The distance to the Cite was a longer walk than we anticipated

Beautiful view of the "Cité". Spacious room.

This is a great place to stay in Carcassonne, perfectly located between the old city and the town. tremendous value for the price. The old cite is heavily visited by tourists so I would not recommend staying in the old city itself, especially if you have a car. this hotel is a perfect compromise. the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating.
The breakfast area was a little small, but it was winter so we were not able to eat outside in the private garden, which would have been wonderful.

Great location, the hotel was really lovely. Staff were warm and friendly and very helpful. Hotel location is great with an 8 minute walk into La Cité but really, really uphill! Lots of restaurants around with varying degrees of friendliness from staff 🤔 We went to Le Réservoir close by which was excellent and an incredible dining experience I would highly recommend it, but definitely not for fussy eaters.

The room was very nice and attractive, it felt comfortable and I liked that it was a small welcoming hotel. The owners were very agreeable. It was great having a morning coffee out in the garden , which was a lovely fresh place to sit in instead of being in your room.
I miss being able to make a drink in for myself. No facilities in the room for this. There was not much noise insulation.

the location, the view of the castle especially at night, the roof top terrace with a million $ view, good breakfast. but by far the BEST are the lovely owners; St Michel and Catherine with their cat - the best ever. it’s a very charming hotel in charming Carcassonne!! I will stay here again for sure.

Superb location, well situated for both the old and the newer town, in a really lovely street. The roof terrace had great views, and having breakfast in the pretty courtyard was perfect.

Location, friendliness

Perfect location, friendly staff and garage to keep the bikes. Big bathroom with great shower (temperature and pressure)
The mattress was too soft and used, it had a "hole" in the middle of it. It needed to be updated with a more firm one.

When we arrived the hotel had given us a better room than we had booked since the room was free anyway. That kind of small flexibility is a good trademark for a customer minded hotel. We also got good restaurant recommendations from the hotel staff, who spoke English (not always the case in France).
The room was very clean and everything was fresh hotel standard. The hotel lies a 5-10 min walk from the castle.

It was wonderful with a small hotel authentic feel,,, staff was superb and parking too!! A small walk to the castle following a wonderful breakfast! What’s not to like? Even had a street party the night of our stay! Beautiful people!!

Great location with a short but steep walk into the old cite or a casual stroll into the bastide
Missing extra pillows in bedroom but suspect that’s a Covid thing!

Catherine and Jean were very friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect. The rooms were clean. They have a beautiful secret garden at the back. Catherine makes homemade jam. For 10 Euros you can use their garage to park your car overnight. On the third floor balcony open to guest was the view of the la cite.
No Microwave or refrigerator in the room. But when you step outside the hotels, there are restaurants left and right
