Beautiful garden, big room with amazing balcony, friendly, helpful and flexible staff.

Lovely grounds with lots of trees and flowers. Great pool. Nice room with comfortable bed. Nice veranda
Friendly staff. Quiet, spacious .
Care about reducing plastic by providing drinking water refill from a gallon.
Breakfast not included, options limited and we got better value taking breakfast outside.

Lovely oasis from the city in Indonesian style

Very cost place and beautiful pool area with lots of green… very relaxing.
If I could suggest just one area of improvement, it would be to provide nets for the bed which are longer (until the floor) because otherwise it is difficult to keep the mosquitoes out and there were quite a bit.

Spacious oasis in otherwise busy city. Great pool. Rooms are classy.
Noisy mosques surround the hotel. Not the hotel’s fault of course, but be aware you will be woken up to howling @4am each morning. Shower also takes @10 mins to run hot water, otherwise, great place!

Beautiful tranquil place, nice set up and pool, nice bed. Location is great, walking distance to Jl. Prawirotaman with many restaurants and bars and next to large supermarket.
Outdoor bathrooms are not really my thing, the biggest gecko I have ever seen was keeping me company which made my bathroom visits a little uncomfortable haha

Lovely traditional Javanese style hotel complex, with well maintained gardens and pool area. We stayed in a deluxe room on the upper floor and enjoyed relaxing on the balcony. Bed was comfortable, although an option of another pillow would have been good.
I liked the hotel's approach to sustainability, offering free desalinated water in the form of big refill bottles. They also used glass jugs with potable water in the rooms instead of plastic bottles. Also soap, shampoo and conditioner in reusable bottles. I think they need to move away from putting other products such as toothbrush etc in the rooms and maybe have them available free of charge, but only should the guest request them. Less waste this way.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Breakfasts were tasty (nasi goreng) but the same every day. A greater selection would be nice and much better value. The fruit juice was watered down and tasteless.
Also an additional pillow on the bed and cushions on the balcony.

Lovely quiet oasis in the busy city!
Just the perfect place.

The pool. So lovely! And unexpectedly serene given the busy street. Our room was quiet too. A little dated, but in a good way. Fantastic value for the price.
The one fat pillow, which gave me a stiff neck.

Everythung was great. Swimming pool was large enough for swimming and clean. Breakfast was full and tasty. Friendly staff and reasonable location. Definitely could be recommended.

Gorgeous rooms with colourful tiles and interesting decorations around the hotel. I loved our daybed out amongst the treetops. Friendly, helpful and caring staff. Beautiful gardens and pool and a very good breakfast. A large selection of books available for loan.
The hotel is quite a long way from the centre of town so you would need your own transport, or be willing to pay for taxis or becaks, to get around to see things or to get to Malioboro St. There are not a lot of food options around the hotel ( or not that we saw anyway) except for the large supermarket a few doors up. But if being away from the centre of town doesn’t bother you, this is a very good choice in Yogyakarta.

the rooms are nice, great balcony and the pool is great. the food staff are cheerful and friendly. being able to refill bottles from the bubbler rather than creating more plastic bottle waste is a bonus. the breakfast is nice, but its a bit repetitive after a few days
the front desk staff were friendly but weren’t always helpful, and there’s no hot water unless you want to wait a very very long time.

Beautiful place right in the middle of a crowded city.
You don't hear much of this crowded place, other then the sound of the mosque.

Amazing atmosphere and super nice rooms! The staff is really friendly and helpful.
The breakfast buffet was nothing special. The Indonesia food was usually cold and simple plain rice with chicken or vegetables. The menu for lunch or dinner was simple as well. They told us they were under construction although we didn't see anything actually being under construction.

Airco didn’t work well..

This is our second time in Jogja Village. We came back because we really liked it the first time in 2018. But this time, we noticed differences. Restaurant and bar were now closed, maintenance was not what it used to be, staff was seriously reduced. We believe (hope) this is a post pandemic phenomenon that will soon be corrected back again. Staff was extremely kind and helpful, rooms are a bit outdated but still ok and the pool is simply fantastic.
But management, be careful, who you accept as quests, because your oasis of calm was turned, for 24 hours, into a playground for noisy screaming kids, which was not appreciated by the guests who came here to relax.

I know it was Covid, and not all rooms were available, and maintenance was probably lapse. But first we couldnt park for ages cos some idiot had parked across multiple spaces so that was a nightmare. Out first room, there was a leak and the floor flooded. So we moved room .. the second room the bathrom drain was blocked and the bathroomflooded and I had to get up every hour to unblock the drain cos of leaves that had been allowed to accumulate in the bathroom. The room stank of hyrdogen sulphide all night cos of rotting vegetation in the drains. The breakfast was poor and unceremoniously dumped on the chair outside the room at 7am, even though we requested 8am. it was poor and cold. I know it was coming towards the end of Covid, but other hotels have manged to at least maintain enough rooms in the property to facilitate guests. But this was an absolute disaster. Add to that .. everything in the grounds was run down and needed repairs / maintenance. I hope things improve, because I stayed here pre-Covid and it was very nice before.

It's got a good price to value ratio, less than 400k/night and you get a bathtub (despite everything...) and amenities like water kettle. The building is uniquely designed and tastefully decorated - the room even has a balcony with modern stained glass. The pool is nice even for families.
Hot water didn't function properly. It said 5 minutes was typically needed for "circulation" but in the evening this was much longer and meant we wasted water for approx. 15 minutes. Didn't take as long during the day but hot water pressure was so weak we ended up taking a cold shower. Bathtub plug also didn't seal off properly. Floor was a bit dusty upon arrival.

I have been here before..15 years ago..it still breathing the same atmosphere kept in good condition..it's only more silent because covid..but it will be back as before
