I can receommend this hotel for a stay!

I enjoyed my stay at Best Western Plus Ataken. The hotel has a good location. For me, it was close to where my friend lives. I chose this hotel because it was good value for money. The staff were helpful and willing to help if needed. The breakfast was very good and exceeded my expectations - there were hot and cold dishes, a variety of vegetables and fruit, soup, local pastries (various samsa and pirozhki) and you could also ask for an egg dish to be cooked for you. My room was quite comfortable, the furniture was a bit worn, but I don't mind that as long as there is enough space to hang my clothes and arrange my belongings. There is also a fridge and a kettle with a selection of tea and instant coffee. Some of hotel rooms have a beautiful view on the mountains, I bet, but mine had just a view on the patio. To get to different places I used taxis and they are very accessible and arrive within a maximum of 12 minutes. The way from the airport to the hotel takes about 45 minutes.

I did not find the bed very comfortable as the mattress was hard and the bed itself was a bit low.

Business hotel still in a good shape but some upgrade would be just in time

Well equipped business hotel , still in good shape, but some renovation would should be scheduled. Staff is helpful and friendly. Located next to shopping mall, conference center and local park.

There are ventilatori system engines located just under the windows therefore you will hear permanent noise, if your room will face the park.

excellent breakfasts, big room , comfortable bed, quiet, very good service , staff friendly and polite . also the location was perfect , next to the Atakent ,and shops and restaurants.

room service didn’t speak English and the food menu wasn’t in English either only in Russian.

The quality/price ratio is low.

Breakfast is a really good, large variety of options. The location is perfect - walking distance from the exhibition pavilions, which is really valuable in the city with the bad traffic jams.

The AC in my room was not working. It was not fixed after I complained about it. The weather was very hot, but I couldn't sleep with open windows because of the noise from outside (the air circulation system was loudly working all the time). The carpets on the floor were dirty, after I was walking while talking on the phone my feet became black. Very ugly view from the window. In the bathroom and inside the room there were small damages everywhere that looked not nice.

Excellent stay

Excellent Staff, always helpful. The hotel is a decent, clean and spacious hotel. The hotel provided info about transfers and it was convenient. It is always better to book your airport transfer with the hotel rather than pick it up from the airport, which is unsafe. The hotel did a great job, when I arrived there was someone with my name to pick me up. Excellent service. Just ensure you always book your transfers with the hotel or Yandex Go, and do not leave this to catch a taxi from the airport.

Very good and reliable service

It is a very good hotel in the area we usually use when we coming to the Almaty for short business trips, there is very relaible service, we know what to expect from it. The rooms are comfy, the breakfast is rich enough and tasty, internet connection is fast.

It is nothing to complain about, it was perfect stay as usual.

Feedback of my staying at the hotel

Location of the property was rather convenient, next door from the exhibition area.

The restaurant is awful. Cousin is bad as well. Service at the restaurant is “surprising” as all dishes which you have ordered are delivered at the same time. During the breakfast it is difficult to find a clean table due to a very limited staff of cleaners. If you come close to 10.00 a.m. the restaurant looks like a garbage area.

Good, but not worth the price.

Great location and view of the mountains.

The cleanliness wasn't completely up to par. For example: we found used teabags under the bed when we entered the room for the first time. The staff at the bar wasn't very "warm". One of the employees constantly was wearing earpods, even when you ordered drinks. The price: the price was almost as much as the average hotel in my home country (the Netherlands). For Kazachstan the price was thus insanely high. The quality of the hotel did not match this price at all.

I would stay again. I stayed 4 nights this time.

I loved the location. It's centrally located with a beautiful park next to the hotel. I loved my leisurely walks in the park. The breakfast is excellent. Easy check-in and out.

The things I didn't like are, there were no robes in my room and they told me they would bring them up and never did. Also, I couldn't sleep till 3am because of the room next to mine was getting cleaned by the hotel cleaner. I had to finally come out and ask her (almost crying) to stop the loud vacuum cleaner and all the other noises (dishes). She told me that she was mandated by the hotel management to clean the room at that hour. But she did stop tho. However, next day I had an early tour to Shymulak and my day was spent only half awake. Other than those incidents everything else was good.
