George is amazing! He made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel home- it felt like family - super comfortable and homey

Very authentic cottage house in the mountain. Chickens and nature sounds wakes you up at the mornings, very refreshing.
There is a bit of humidity smell, but I discovered thats a common problem in many houses of Lisabon area

Everything! Super authentic, very clean and mr. Jorge is a very welcoming person. He will make sure that you hace a nice stay!
The neighbourhood of São Pedro is way less turistic than other areas, the festivities where ongoing, great ambiance and local life!

Short walk distance from cafes and restaurants. Clean room and clean WC.
The heater was not working well, and the room was very cold. It was a bit uncomfortable to sleep during the night.

Just amazing homey place with nice interior!
Very clean
Cute location
I rented this room for the second time. Last time was about 6 years ago, and the quality didn't change :)
It was just perfect :)

The facility is homely and a welcome oasis out of Sintra central. Very clean and the owner Jorge is welcoming and helpful if needed. It is only 25 minutes walk from the centre.
I have no negative comment about my stay at the hostel.

small and clean hostel that can really feel like home.
The host was friendly and helpful.

very cool place to stay with so much character.
It was a very hot night and a fan would have been helpful.
4.1
It is a quiet small home hostel (so no bunk rooms), with a few restaurants nearby, and the Pena Palace is about a 30 minute walk. Jorges was very helpful.
Nothing!

The room number 5 is next to a bathroom and smelled of sewage the entire time. The room was super dark as well.

This has to be one of the sweetest and most charming hostels I've stayed in. The decor is quirky and local. The bed is comfortable, firm, big delightful duvet and extra pillows. Lots of space, vintage wardrobe, full length mirror and great books everywhere. The bathroom is spacious with a large shower. There is a spare toilet downstairs as well. The cherry on top was the delicious vegan cafe just around the corner.
No complaints at all. I suppose people with mobility issues or large luggage will want to foresee transport (taxi, tuk tuk) from the train station as the walk is quite steep but if you enjoy hiking it's great prep for doing the tour of Sintra by foot.

The hostel was really cosy, clean and taken care, and you have good cafeteria and restaurants in the neighbourhood. We highly recommend. We visited two Castles and the historical centre walking (about 20 minutes each). Also, Jorge is a nice host.

Everything was as described by other reviews. Older building but charming rooms.
The only thing I could comment on is that there was a musty smell in my room. But I am very sensitive to smells

The place is quite comfy and clean.
Location could be tricky if you are not driving, it's not too far from a few attractions, but the road is very narrow and busy.

Everything was great

great quaint place to stay with nice views

Hostel was clean and cute.
We heard all the noises through the room's walls. Also there was smoked inside so the smell was little bit everywhere. Also bed was noisy.

Spacious room. Even though the bathroom was shared it was very clean. Plenty of towels and opportunity to hang up stuff. Super nice host.
Small make shift kitchen, but I have to admit we didn’t need to use it.

Amazing hostel! the views, the place itself and the managers.

The duvet was really fantastic 😀
There is the smell of moisture in the first floor and it's better to have the windows open.

gorgeous place, felt very authentic. big comfortable bed, owner was the cutest thing ever.
had to have cold showers as we only realized the next morning there was apparently a switch in the kitchen you had to press to turn on the hot water

it’s quirky and friendly. Jorge is very welcoming and kind.

The decor, the house is like a little museum, it's very cute, our bedroom had art books and a lot o decor and explanation about it. The bathroom was really comfy and very clean, the house overall was very clean and the host was really kind. The bathrooms were clean and there was hot water and clean towels. I really enjoyed our stay
Maybe fix the second shower? I believe it was just somethin circumstantial and there was nothing wrong with the hostel

Cutest hostel we ever stopped at, had a dreamy 10 stars first night
Unfortunately we had to change to the room next to the bathroom for the second night. A family with a small kid came home at 2AM: loud footsteps, loud conversation, kid crying (understandable, regarding the hour), someone took a shower, several trips back and forth to the bathroom, doors slammed every time. We could sleep at 4AM, after the last visit to the bathroom. Next morning, we had the chance to use the toilets before the members of the family got up, as they occupied this upstairs bathroom for a solid 2 hours, starting with giving the kid a shower with the door open, and leaving a mess behind them, 2 hours later...
Might be just a problem with guests, or perhaps with soundproofing, as we stayed in youth hostel quieter than this one.
Our opinion is ours, and probably doesn't reflect the potential of this lovely hostel, as we adored it on the first night.

This hostel is a museum! Very comfy.

Quirky and cozy. Host was very accommodating. Well placed if you are looking for a less busy side of town

Good kitchen you could cook in kitchen if you wanted and small supermarket 5 minutes up road, couple of lovely quaint cafes 3 minutes away., Sintra hostel was quirky and fun. Host Jorge was there for anything you needed. Beautiful village. 5 mins up road by square are taxis coaches and tuk tuks to get you into main sintra
Nothing really, was very quiet and peaceful.

We Loved this cozy little place booked last minute for only one night. Definitely will book again for longer next time for a great value for the price, comfortable, cozy room, the charm of antiques and traditional style home, a very kind host, and good little kitchen and dining/living area to eat in with a view. Simple and sweet. Nice location for anyone who likes to be a bit outside the main town of Sintra. So much quieter and more calm here.
No complaints!

Jorge was a great guy. Very comfortable bed in a cozy room. Zero traffic noise outside! Felt like staying in a real old Portuguese house with character and history, not a spiffy boutique hotel. Very safe neighborhood.
Walls were a little thin (I heard the girls next door using a hair drier for what seemed like hours). The place is a long walk up a steep hill from the train station in Sintra, but the flipside is that you're away from the noise of "downtown." (All of Sintra gets very quiet after 6:30, though.)

The host was very nice, the room was very comfortable and clean. I managed to work in the hostel, which was my main concern since I was traveling in work.
I didn't get proper wifi in the room since it was a floor away from the router, although there was a repeater it didn't look like it was working properly. I'm sure that the host will fix that though, he looked rather worried about that.
