The setting was perfect. Not too far a walk to old sintra and transport if needed. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, continental breakfast . Staff were friendly and coffee was good.
Beds comfortable and clean. Shower was surprisingly great, powerful.
Pool was just perfect after a long day walking up them hills.
We all felt very relaxed and at home, really beautiful garden. A firepit at night would have been great or access to a bbq. However, uber eats will deliver.
Some of the outdoor furniture needs repairing or replacing. Would have liked access to a fridge. Maybe some sunbeds. Or extra cushions/blankets for the benches.
I understand this is in a valley and sintra is humid. Therefore things feel damp so a small heater or dehumidifier in rooms would be beneficial.

We loved the friendly staff and amazing exterior to enjoy. The pool and grounds were magical for my two 7yr olds, and relaxing for the adults too.
The interior of our lower room could use a little update. The decor was great and relaxing, but the ventilation was poor (no window beyond the glass doors you close at night) and it was very humid. The small dehumidifier they provide could not keep up (and was moldy) and we found it stuffy at night. The staff were very nice and helpful!

Great location, short walk into the centre of Sintra, yet you felt you were in the countryside. The bedroom remained cool even though it was 32'c outside, pool was very welcome.
The parking was awkward, we had to keep reshuffling the cars to get in or out. There was no fridge - it was quite a walk to a food shop so it would have been useful to store some food at the guest house.

the pool is nice and so is the gardener
our room had ants and spiders, the bed sheets were also not changed, when we notified the host she told us to change them ourselves

Very cozy and stylish place. Beautiful garden, swimming pool and everything outside. Very nice breakfast with a fresh bread. The place are located in the lower part of the city, you should walk a lot, but it’s worth it.
Due to high humidity in the room, the bed sheets was always wet, the mattress was too soft, the mirror in the bathroom needs renovation. The bathroom is without a door, but for me it wasnt a problem, because I traveled alone.

I had an incredibly disappointing and uncomfortable stay at this hotel, which I feel compelled to warn others about. Not only was the location secluded and the road leading to the hotel uncomfortably narrow, but upon entering my room, I was greeted by an overwhelming smell of humidity and a distinct presence of insects. The room's high humidity levels created an unpleasant and musty atmosphere that made it difficult to relax or enjoy my time there. It was clear that the room had not been properly maintained, leaving an overall impression of neglect. Combined with the misleading photographs and the persistent noise from the party-filled swimming pool, my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. I cannot stress enough: Do not stay at this hotel. It is a truly horrendous choice that will only lead to disappointment and discomfort.

Excellent value for money

The location was good except for access, but we were made aware before coming.
The swimming pool was good to have.
We were not made aware that our door was self locking or how the door works. The room that we stayed in only had internal handles. There really should be a handle on the outside of the door. We ended up getting locked out of our room without our phones, money or luggage around 9pm and were told to call an emergency locksmith. We were told by the only member of staff that it’s “not her problem” We were lucky enough to get the help from another couple staying in one of the rooms, and they sat with us for over an hour offering us drinks and clothes in case we needed anything. Unlike the staff that made no effort to see if we were okay with a follow up phone call. Using the help from the guests that we met using their phone we were able to get hold of the only staff member. She was ve
The room that we were given did not match up to the photos of the specific room advertised to us when paying via booking.com
The room had been cleaned before arriving, with the dehumidifier running I noticed that there was mold growing on surfaces of furniture like the lamp shade and can be smelt when In the room. With no lightbulb fitted you just walk into an unfamiliar dark room.
Over the day your clothes will feel damp from the moisture, we had the very small dehumidifier running the whole time but it did not remove the damp, despite filling to the top with water twice a day at least.
The shower cubicle does have hot running water but the drains are blocked so you are standing in a pool of potentially dirty water. The handle of the shower is loose and will fall off. The shower even before using gives off a bad smell. There are no windows to ventilate the room. The switch for the ventilation fans for the shower unit and toilet do not come on.
WiFi connection is poor in the room, the bed is okay but I wouldn't ever stay here again for poor quality of living, and long term health.

We loved our visit and having traveled the entire coast of Portugal for two weeks we found it so relaxing, beautiful and overall serene.
Staff was exceptional and helpful. We will be telling others this is a must visit when going to Portugal.

The gardens and the surrounding views and nature. The staff
The humidity in the room and the spiderwebs in the room. The complex parking issues, and it is not possible to get there easily without the car. I have traveled around portugal alot as I have lived here for years and the bohemian style places are usually the price I paid for one night here, but that was with last minute discount. You need to check which room you are getting as that will make a difference.

Nothing. The place was not as described and when we arrived there was no one to let us into to our accommodation. We rang the bell and contacted them but 3ven afterv 45 minutes no one came.. we were then charged the whole no amount of 80 euros even although we couldn't get in.
Everything the place looked very run down and shabby and we didn't get our room and had to leave.

parking but very difficult to find
has to wait for 3 hours to get a response and constant calls to check with the owners. No water or glass available to drink. Keys not available and toilets were unclean and the room smelled of cheap spray

Landscape, pool and the style
We missed the soap in the bathroom it was a bit cold, a place to hang the towels to dry would be nice

This place is perfect to feel like you're in a quiet town when you're actually in a town that has way too many tourists. Bit rough around the edges but if you're not bothered about luxury then stay here. Nice dining/ communal area and there is a swimming pool. The rooms could do with a deep clean but the bed linen, towels and sinks/ showers are clean. Breakfast is worth it for the price.

Peaceful location and beautiful scenery
More signs to show how to get in

I can't copy paste de very LOOOONG complaint I wrote to Booking about this place so here I'll give a résumé:
- First of all, it's nothing like the pictures. So, don't be fooled lmao. Even the pool was meh.
- The room smelled very musty. The humidity in there made it impossible for us to sleep comfortably because the bed sheets were humid, it was very cold and it was hard to breathe. You guessed it.. We got sick! How wonderful! And by the way our clothes were so humid that we had to hang them outside. Even the employees know and agreed that the room they gave us should not be suggested anymore. But it's not up to them. Apparently it's up to the owners who never picked up the phone during our stay.
- Dirty beadhead and mold stains on the walls, mold in the shower, garbage left from past customers, rat piss, OH AND A RAT in our room! Very cute but not the smell tho. The shower door was broken. Nothing to hang the towels on. Not enough toilet paper. Dusty decorations, dirty floors. You get it. Unacceptably disgusting.
- No intimacy... you can hear everything.
- We booked a room for 1 week but we got so sick that we wanted to check out after 2 days. They offered another room and we accepted because we had no choice. They do NOT give you a refund! No matter how many hours you spend on the phone with Booking. No matter if you get sick because of their lack of professionalism and hygiene. They simply don't care. An employee said she would give us a refund for the night we had to deal with the rat. Nothing has been done. Just like the cleaning of the rooms I guess.
Unfortunately, it was a huge waste of money and time.
Go somewhere clean, comfortable, respectful and professional instead. This place isn't worth it.
And I see they like to respond to their reviews.
Are you really trying to desperately save your reputation while offering the bare minimum to your customers? The irony. Quite sad to be honest.

Our room, number 4, was horrible. Awful smell all the time, humidity, bad cleaning both in room and sheets. Bathroom gives no privacy and it is extremely small.
access to the property is terrible, especially by car.

Communication was very good; the breakfast was very good value for the price (4€) and served in the garden. The swimming pool was rather big for such a small place and had nice chairs to relax around. It was very near to Sintra old town center, so we could go there by foot in the evening to have dinner.
The shower was in the room and not covered but with glass.

Breakfast by the pool was really enjoyable 😉
Shower and WC was basically just a separete box within the room, not a big deal but could be an issue for some.

The breakfast was delicious and great value, the attention to detail was so lovely and very aesthetically pleasing, the whole place is very relaxed and designed in a way to feel like you're a guest in a friends home, with sharing tables for eating and all the rooms set around the garden, the pool is lovely and there's a charming goat too! The staff were so friendly and helpful and the location is great, not too far from the train station in a peaceful beautiful valley away from the bustle of the town centre but still within easy walking and plenty of nice restaurants close by. It felt like a little piece of heaven!
Maybe some local handmade soaps and shampoo would be a nice extra detail in the bedrooms, and offer some local wine and snacks that guests can buy on arrival to haVe a drink when they arrive, as its quite a hike back uo the hill to the nearest bar if you haven't come prepared .with snacks and drinks
