Time to get away for some rest and relaxation? This is the perfect home for you. This beautiful recently renovated home has an amazing new kitchen, new mattresses, and outdoor decking. Enjoy making magical memories in the wonderful Jamaica Beach canal home. A charcoal grill is provided for creating a meal while taking in the sunset on the upper dining deck space. Stargazing from the same deck provides another treat this property offers. You may choose to lounge on the outdoor furniture while watching the family fish or play outdoor games on the landscaped back yard space. A wonderful new cement border of decking is perfect for fishing off your own pier. Bring your boat and tie off in the slip.Two kayaks are provided for a relaxing canal cruise while catching your own fish dinner. Overlook the canal while dining and sipping on a cool beverage or fishing off the amazing new concrete decking.

This cozy home has comfortable, welcoming furnishings that make you feel as if you are at a home away from home. The new large screen, smart TV is equipped with blue tooth speakers. The layout offers a large open floor plan with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths upstairs (sleeps up to 10 with pull out couch).
The comfy new queen mattress in the master will offer a wonderful night's rest for 2. There is also a small chaise lounge for a reading area and a private bath with a stand-up shower. French doors off the master offer direct access to the deck. The second bedroom sleeps 2 and has a queen-size bed. This room shares a full bath with the third bedroom. The third bedroom with all new mattresses sleeps 4. It has bunk beds with a full bed on the bottom, twin up top, and a pull-out trundle. There is also a queen-sized pull-out couch in the family room. (sleeps 2).

Jamaica Beach is a well-known neighborhood that offers several perks of its own. The home is just a few blocks from the beach as well as the Jamaica Beach neighborhood park and pool. Cars are allowed to park on the beach for easy access to your beach supplies. When you return from the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower and enjoy cooking up dinner on the outdoor gas grill. A neighborhood boat launch is also available for those of you bringing your own boat. At the entrance of the neighborhood, we have a fire department, police station, church, stores for essentials, gift shop, bar and grill, hardware store, liquor store, laundry mat, Subway sub shop, and more. If you want to see the sights, take the short trip to Galveston's Strand, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, The Pleasure Pier and Moody Gardens which are only a few miles down the road. The Seawall also has many attractions such as the Duck Boat tours, bicycle rentals, go-carts, charter fishing, fabulous restaurants, fishing off the Pier, and boat tours. We enjoyed being right on the water to fish and kayak in the mornings and evening but also close to the beach. Easy to get to restaurants but also well stocked with utensils, pans, etc to cook on site.

We booked this trip as a last minute getaway before school started. The kids enjoyed fishing and trying to catch crabs in the canal. They also enjoyed the kayaks. We also enjoyed easy access to the beach

We enjoyed our time here very much. Everyone had a blast fishing and kayaking up and down the canals. Kitchen was well stocked, which I love because we always do home cooked meals even when on vacation. Hostess was also very attentive and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

This property was a great size for our family of 4, plus a guest and our dog. The multiple outdoor decks were a big plus, as was the large yard for the pet. We were able to fish right from the back yard, but it is definitely more of a canal fishing experience. Boat access is very easy. From living room to bedroom to kitchen, the interior was very comfortable. The climate control was powerful and updated. When we first arrived, there was a little issue with the internet, however, the host was extremely responsive and the issue was immediately resolved. Would stay here again.

The house is in a cute neighborhood and it has plenty of parking. The outside area has a ping pong table and seating but it was a bit chilly and rained during our trip so we didn’t spend a ton of time under there sitting! The first deck is nice and painting but again the weather didn’t cooperate with us. The upper deck is in need of some repairs and we didn’t venture up there. The updates are nice but the house is in need of a good deep cleaning. There is dust on the ceiling above the stove, on the baseboards, under the beds. There were dead bugs in the corners when we arrived. The house had a bit of a damp feeling to it. Maybe we caught it on an off time, I’m not sure.

This was a short trip but, such a quaint scenic location. Backyard off Bay was large with plenty to do. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. Very short drive to beach and a convenient store in neighborhood!

This is our second stay in this house. The house is spacious, lots of room with bunk beds and fully stocked kitchen. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Just a short drive to the beach, but there is plenty to do on the canal with paddle board and kayaks. You will love this place!

First of all Kathy is amazing, she is very responsive with any information you might need. The house was exactly as it was presented in the listing. We went with our daughter and her family, the grandkids were never board (which is a tall feet for kids age 6,10,and 13 ) the games at the house were so much fun! We spent a lot of time kayaking in the canals with the kayaks and paddle boards provided at the house. The only negatives would be there are not enough towels for a large group with small kids (we did have the ability to wash them in the washer and dryer provided) and the beds were a little hard for our taste but not awful. Over all the positives far out weighed the negatives and we would definitely stay here again.

Smaller than expected. Yard area was nice but mosquitoes were awful so we couldn’t sit outdoors at all. Canal was full of trash. Some dishes were put in cabinets dirty. Kitchen was Adequately stocked. Door knobs need tightened. Price per night is high for this accommodation.

This property is overall pretty amazing. It was beautiful, very clean and had everything we needed. Be aware that there are no TV's in the rooms. I'm sure it's listed and I just didn't pay attention.

We enjoyed our stay and a great place for the family. Plenty of games and activities provided, and a huge patio for entertaining. Easy access to the beach. They welcomed our pets which was a bonus. We would not hesitate to stay again!

The house was spotless and beds very comfortable. Connivence to beach, restaurants and entertainment great. We were disappointed of the outside deck on house and stairs need help boards rotted and exposed nails. Not able to fish off deck water wasn’t ever over 2 ft. We did enjoy the peace and quiet sitting on the new deck over boat house. Overall we are happy with the stay.

Myself, my wife and some other couples stayed here for the weekend and had a great time. We thoroughly enjoyed all the various sitting areas, the access to the channel, the easy trip to the beach, and convenience of nearby Galveston. Everything was clean and well maintained and Kathy made everything very easy and was accommodating in our last minute request to check-in a little early. We would definitely do it again in the future!

The house is excellent for relaxation, however it was stated that the yard was fenced in for dogs to enjoy the yard but it's not, in one photo is shows night lights for fishing that's miss leading the light is not close to the property and the water was trashy not suitable for swimming so all activities was off the property.

If you are looking for a updated vacation home, this isn’t the one for you. This house is listed as newly renovated, and while there are some “updates”, the property is poorly renovated. We have stayed in many canal homes in Jamaica Beach and this is definitely our least favorite, and will not be returning.

Thank y’all for such a great weekend! We so enjoyed your beach house. The Kayaks and sun decks were a big hit with our young adults. It was clean and very spacious for our group of girls. The beds were very comfortable. We all wished that we had a few more days to hang out. The location is in a very nice and quiet neighborhood that is convenient to the beach, the bay, gas and other stores.

Our favorite part of this property were the many places to sit and gather outside. There's a lovely sitting area under the house, one on the middle porch where we had dinner, another one further out where you can sit by the water, and one high up where we sat at night to look at the stars. It was my husband's 50th birthday and we couldn't have picked a better spot for him to fish and relax!

Overall good place, but could use some maintenance. Water was stagnant, so fishing for husband was not good. Sticker in yard got stuck in my dog's hair every time she went out.

All in all it was a nice time. However, We had issues with the cable for several hours but the property manager was very helpful in helping us figure out the issue. The place could use some basic items in the kitchen (cutting board, a cutting knife). And the upstairs balcony perch had some wooden slats missing or broken which made it very dangerous for my toddler who could have easily slipped through the opening and fell down below. I had to hold on to her very tight when we went up there and didn’t go back up there again after that. Also the SUP paddle board was deflated. Other than that we had a really nice time and it was in a good location.
