Fantastic accommodation with lovely touches throughout. Great to see the animals on the 2 acre site....and see the chickens for the freshest of eggs. I can't say enough about the hosts but just extremely helpful and nothing was to much....including a lift to the JCB Golf Course. Nice pub in Denstone.....which was within easy walking distance. Ideal location for Alton Towers.

By far the most beautiful place I have stayed in to date. Spotlessly clean, really thoughtful layout, interior design was just amazing. Could not fault it. Also got to see the animals!! The hosts Janette and Russell were absolutely lovely and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. We also had eggs from their hens and crisps and popcorn left for us. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Modern, friendly, relaxing countryside stay
Really helpful friendly discreet hosts, modern clean compact accommodation. Join Staffordshire Way from the doorstep or short drive to other points of interest. Enjoy fresh eggs from hosts chickens and chill out with Barney and Boris the goats at the end of the garden.
Very relaxing break location.

A taste of the good life.
Wow! What a beautiful place. We visited Willow Bank in May 2022. As soon as we arrived, we were astounded by the beauty of this place.
Firstly, the decor of the guest house is really nice. A superb modern feel but at the same time, a country feel too. There are 2 bedrooms, one bedroom with a king size bed and the other room with 2 single beds. Perfect for a family of four.
The kitchen features a cooker, kettle, toaster, microwave and plenty of cutlery. Sugar, coffee, tea and milk were all readily available which is just one of the lovely touches our hosts made for guest comfort.
The living quarters are up stairs which makes perfect sense for enjoying the scenic view of the garden and the fields around the property. Plenty of entertainment can be found here with a TV with access to Netflix and Amazon prime. Board games too which we loved. A lovely touch too was the popcorn in a basket next to the TV.
Now then, the garden… I could talk all day about how beautiful the garden is. Firstly, there’s a monkey puzzle tree which is beautiful. Then a magnificent sundial. As you walk further down the garden, there’s fresh vegetables growing… at this point, I’m thinking, I wish I could live in the country permanently.
At the end of the garden is the piece that will keep families coming back for more, there’s hens, roosters, rabbits, goats and much more waiting to greet you. The animals are so friendly too. Our kids loved this.
Fresh eggs daily too that taste exquisite
Our hosts, Janette and Russell were really kind and lovely people. They provide plenty of information about the surrounding areas and also about the animals too. They leave you to enjoy your stay and are readily available should you need any help with anything.
Smoking is understandably not available inside the Willow Bank but there are designated smoking and vaping areas which is lovely to see as many places are not as thoughtful.
There’s no need to take with you a travel iron. There’s 24 hour access to a laundry room with iron access and washing facilities. Also inside the willow bank is a handy garment steamer to freshen up your clothes from any suitcase creases.
Overall, willow bank is a magical place. It’s beauty speaks for itself. If you are considering staying here, I would highly recommend that you do.
Thank you Janette and Russell for making this trip special for our family. Hope to see you again soon.

Fantastic property & hosts
Our 2 night stay at The Willow was amazing. The property was immaculate and had an amazing interior. Very welcoming and comfortable. Russell is an amazing host, very friendly and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend this property particularly after an intense day at Alton Towers! We will be back, thank you!

Fantastic base to explore the local area
Russell is an amazing host- he made us feel very welcome from the moment we first booked. The property is immaculate with so many ‘added’ touches to make your stay special…Great location, just up the road from Alton Towers, but so much other stuff to do in the area….. we will definitely go back to do some walking at some point. Fantastic base for couples or families with teenagers or toddlers. Something for everyone. Highly recommend staying here and meeting all the animals.

Perfect family stay in great location
We stayed for three nights at Willow bank. Russell was the perfect host, welcoming us to the property (and to the animals - which was a highlight for us all). It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Location was perfect for Alton Towers, but also for other walks and attractions in the area. We would highly recommend and hope to return soon.

Birthday weekend
Had a great weekend celebrating my twins birthday made all the more special staying at The Willow. Both Russell and Janette were fantastic hosts. The house was immaculate both in and out. My children loved the animals especially the sheep. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and hope to stay again soon.

Exceptional cleanliness and presentation. Provided a very welcoming and relaxing setting. The goats, sheep and hends provided an extra dimension for 9 year old daughter.

A gem of a place to stay from start to finish. If you need somewhere near to stay to Alton Towers but away from the hustle & bustle of the park then The Willow is perfect.
Every little detail and more has been thought out. Where do you start. Well the lovely touches when you first arrive put a smile on our family’s faces. It’s a superbly decorated place which my wife especially loved. I’m sure she would have moved in if she could. The information put into the welcome booklet is very handy with everything you need to know. The under floor heating was nice and the night lights in the kids room helped them settle. We didn’t get to use the outside much but it looked lovely too.
The property and location were only half of the reason we’d recommend The Willow though. Russell and Jeanette are the perfect hosts who are very friendly and approachable. We got a genuinely warm and welcoming feeling throughout out stay. Russell’s always there if you need him, but not intrusive. Our boys loved spending some time with the animals and this was an added bonus also.
All in all we wouldn’t even bother looking for anywhere else in future if staying in the area. The Willow would be the place for us.

The Willow At Willowbank
We had the most amazing stay at The Willow. The cottage was beautiful and has a industrial theme throughout the rooms. The cottage was immaculate and Russel had even put milk in the fridge and freshly laid eggs in the kitchen. Russel was a excellent host and took time out to let us pet and feed his animals. The goats were so cute but Hattie the sheep was my favourite. Russell even let my son collect some eggs, it was so much fun. It is so close to Alton towers , within 5 minutes drive. We enjoyed a lovely meal in Alton. I would not hesitate to book this place and would recommend it to anyone . It was the perfect base to relax after a day at Alton Towers. I give it 10 out of 10. Thanks Russell and Janette they really are super hosts .

A lovely property
A fantastic place to stay for a couple of days at Alton Towers which is just a couple of miles away. Russell and his partner Janette were most welcoming. The property was spotless and comfortable with everything you could need. The eggs from their chickens were a welcome treat.
Russell and Janette, have two goats (Boris and Barnie), chickens and sheep that you can pet and you are allowed into the encloser as long as you are with the owner. Great stay would definitely return if in the area.
