A unique architectural design gives this lovely, eco-friendly two-bedroom, two-bathroom home a spacious and airy feel. Nestled on a private lot with beautifully manicured grounds, this bermed home is an ideal retreat for true Wellfleet lovers. The home is decorated with modern furnishings and artwork--a wonderful place to relax and unwind or create.

Enter the first floor with an open dining area and kitchen. The dining area has a large table with seating for twelve--perfect for a sit-down dinner with friends. The dining area opens to a well-equipped galley kitchen with granite counter tops and breakfast bar. There is an electric induction cooktop, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, drip coffeemaker and French press.

Just off the dining area is a book-filled den with comfortable seating, TV with Roku (stream your own content), two Bose Bluetooth speakers and a slider to the patio and yard. Doors from the den lead to the first of the home's two bedrooms suites. One on either side of the home, each offering optimal comfort and privacy. The bedroom off the den has a queen bed and bathroom with soaking tub and separate room with toilet and sink. This bathroom is also accessed from the kitchen. The second bedroom--on the other side of the home--has a queen bed and an en suite bathroom with shower. There is a private door to the exterior in this bedroom. Both bedrooms have ductless split unit air conditioners.

There is an open and bright living room loft with a cathedral ceiling, comfortable lounging sofas, ceiling fan and a flat screen smart TV with cable and WiFi. The loft, which opens to the dining area below, has a slider to an amazing screen porch with skylights, lounging sofas, table with chairs and enclosed outdoor shower. The living room may also be accessed by a spiral staircase from the dining area below.

Relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the yard and gardens--all treated for mosquitoes and ticks. A truly magical setting, there are multiple places to steal away and enjoy a good book, a glass of wine or conversation. There is outdoor seating on the patio overlooking the lawn, and of course, the wonderful screen porch with dining table seating ten looking out over the upper patio and gardens. The property abuts three-acres of conservation land.

There are three ductless split unit air conditioners, one in each bedroom and one in the open loft. Ten automatic, solar-powered skylights throughout the home let in plenty of light. Pick up something at the fish market and cook up dinner on the gas or charcoal grill. Washer and dryer conveniently located in the laundry room just off the kitchen.

Four beach chairs and a beach umbrella available for tenant use.

Although peaceful and serene, the home is close to all the best of Wellfleet. Only a mile to Wellfleet center for restaurants, galleries, shops, the Wellfleet library, the weekly farmers market and live entertainment. Head a little further out to the town pier for fresh seafood, Mayo Beach and to watch the boats come in and out of the harbor. Take the back roads to town center--only 5 minutes by car or 10 minutes by bike. Enjoy Wellfleet's many bay and ocean beaches (10 minutes to Cahoon Hollow Beach) and the town's beloved fresh water ponds (eight minutes to Gull Pond). Short drive to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, WHAT Theater, Cape Cod National Seashore sites, trails and beaches, Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and much more.

Upon cancellation for ANY reason, money will be refunded less a 20% service fee of the total rental amount due, ONLY if the property is re-rented for the same terms and conditions of the original Agreement. Tenant further acknowledges and agrees that where Kinlin Grover Compass undertakes to re-let the property, the rental fee to be charged to the substitute tenant shall be in an amount to be determined in the reasonable discretion of Kinlin Grover Compass and Owner. Tenant agrees that any cancellation of the reservation, undertaken at any time, shall not be effective unless in writing and delivered to Kinlin Grover Compass.

This was our favorite VRBO rental. The house is lovely, and feels like a real home, complete with books, and art on the walls and a really well equipped kitchen. Candles everywhere were such a nice touch. There were so many cosy spots around the house and garden, we could have been happy to just stay around the property with a good book. It was an easy drive to shops in Wellfleet Center and to a variety of beautiful beaches. The property managers dealt well and promptly with an unexpected issue and were always easy top reach with questions before and during the stay. We’re looking forward to another stay.

We had a great stay at this property. It was much larger than we had anticipated and the grounds were beyond beautiful. We stayed during a heat wave and the house is equipped with AC in the bedrooms so it was always very comfortable. We have been staying on the Cape every summer for the past 12 years and this was our first time in Wellfleet. I can honestly say that this house has been the best one we have had thus far.

We loved our time at this peaceful home- the many outdoor patios and great kitchen and porch tables provide ample and diverse spaces for gathering with family. The porch/nearly outdoor shower was a favorite of ours, as were the beautiful gardens and many spots to come up and read a good book. And the location-a short walk to Wellfleet and close to many great beaches cannot be beat! We will be back!

It is quite something when all you need is a place to sleep, but you end up with a house that is a featured part of your trip--so much so that you don't want to leave. The range common spaces--inside and out--were truly amazing. Always a shady spot to sit outside, and ability to spread out or not inside. The house was both intimate and grand at the same time. Comfortable, airy, and well-appointed. We will be back!

This was an absolutely perfect getaway for me, my wife and 2 teenagers. The grounds are beautifully kept, with unlimited places to explore and relax. The interior is just as unique, with plenty of spaces to be together for a meal or a game, or find a nook to read a book or take a nap. We all loved its decor and charm. We also enjoyed the local beaches, hikes and bike paths, but couldn’t wait to get back to enjoy the house and grounds. We hope to return every year, for a break from the daily grind and find some more relaxation, and family memories!! Thank you!

Great private house with loads of places to relax

This is a lovely house with a unique layout. The two separate en-suite bedrooms, as well as multiple areas for sitting, reading, etc, were perfect for social distancing. The grounds are gorgeous! The kitchen is big and open, but perhaps could use a bit more equipment for dedicated cooks (no vegetable peeler!). All in all a really nice place, close to town and beaches. The best of Wellfleet!

This house provided the perfect retreat for my husband, daughter, and I. It was secluded but close to beaches and restaurants. The outside setting was gorgeous and offered lots of nooks for reading, relaxing, or solitude. Interior was perfect for our small family. Great kitchen for cooking meals and several options for tables in or outside for dining. Comfy seating and lovely bedrooms. We were quite happy with this house. Highly recommended.

Idyllic Retreat in Wellfleet

This is a unique, beautifully-designed and gorgeously-furnished house that is central to all--downtown Wellfleet, the beaches and ponds, and Route 6. It is very private and set back on a beautiful garden with a myriad places to sit and relax and enjoy the flowers, bird, and butterflies! While you may be geographically close to Route 6, the surroundings are very peaceful. The house is well designed in that, with two separate bedrooms with their own bath, you are not on top of each other. My favorite feature was that the stovetop enables you to face people sitting at the island so you can be social while cooking. The owner left a great information file--very helpful! The kitchen and house are well equipped--my one concern were the glasses: we bought plastic tumblers because I would have felt so badly breaking any of the drinking glasses. The house has well situated skylights enabling you to catch breezes and the vines growing into the three-seasonal porch make evenings on the porch by candlelight truly magical. A wonderful and memorable home--thank you so much for sharing it with us!

We have rented in Wellfleet for years and this was the best house yet! It really captures the Cape Cod spirit and was the perfect place for our vacation. It has plenty of privacy and the best layout for everyone to come together for meals, music and fun. The giant table across from the kitchen was our command central. And the screened in porch was the ideal place to cool off and nap after the beach. And a 5 minute bike ride to town for groceries and ice cream! We'll stay again for sure.
