My husband and 2 dear friends enjoyed our time at Gair to Paradise. The lush canopy of trees and the beautiful landscape!! A very well stocked kitchen, roomy bedrooms and comfortable living room! The hot tub was excellent after a long day!
Highly recommend this lovely home!! Cheers!!

The home had everything we needed and far more, fully stocked kitchen, hot tub, a game room with a foosball table, pinball machine and a full size arcade game loaded with tons of options, plus a cache of board games.
The interior is tall ceilings, a full wall of windows, beautiful pine walls and ceilings, comfortable furniture, large smart TV in each bedroom, living room, and game room. It is very private, has a creek right beside the house. We loved it and hope to return soon

This property is located in a central location allowing my family and I to go out for the day and not have to travel too far. From Boone, Grand Father Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Blowing Rock, it's all very close by.
We had a couple of issues with the property but the staff was responsive and communicative.
4.8
Mgmt company is 5 stars! House had a couple hiccups that were dealt with very fast! We definitely made some memories! And would return!
4.8
Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle!
4.8
Our child was shocked by an electrical outlet that didn't have a cover plate where you had to plug-in the arcade machine - he was hurt and really upset. There were dirty things when we arrived despite paying a cleaning and pet fee - dirty spoons in garbage disposal and drawer, food in dog bowl, water in coffee pot, trash in the yard and on the porch, dirt pile/debris on the side of the staircase, etc. Nice location and pretty property but the safety issue and uncleanliness when we arrived were upsetting. Pinball machine is awesome but randomly stops working and searching for 5 missing balls after a few plays.

The property was pretty outside however we have never had an issue with a property and had many with this one. Ice maker was broken, bedroom had a heavy leather coverlet and no blankets, dishwasher didn't work, pinball machine didn't work, floors were not vacuumed well, the floor mats in all the bathrooms were filfthy and worst of all the door to the 3rd "bedroom" was not really a bedroom a pull out couch only and was unusable as the door to the bathroom was not functional so we had to squeeze ourselves into 2 bedrooms! The property manager was nice and tried to help the best she could but there was so many damaged items even the handy man said it was ridiculous and he would need a lot of time to fix so many things. I spent much of the trip messaging with the manager but finally gave up as it was just further ruining what was to be a special vacation. By the way, the only reason I left 3 stars for check in process is we had requested a early check in which I understand is not always possible however cleaning had left way before we came and instead of letting us in a little early we stood outside in the cold continually checking the lock code which didn't work until 4. Overall not the quality properties we usually rent with VRBO.

I was searching for a place for months before we booked and read every review I could prior to booking so my review is very detailed :) This cabin was perfect in every way! It’s set in the cutest gated community and still has so much privacy. We had deer right outside the house the first morning and my kids loved that! We didn’t have a far drive to Grandfather mountain so we hiked that one day with the kids and dog. Hawksnest tubing was fun for the kids and also a short drive. The cabin itself had everything we were looking for when booking. The house was decorated so nicely for Christmas with a tree and garland (exactly as seen in photos) The game room had a pullout bed and bathrooom along with an Xbox! We couldn’t get the pinball machine to work but we already expected that based off the reviews. The gas fireplace was perfect!!!! We never used the hot tub so I don’t have a review on that. We went 12/22/23-12/27/23 and the weather was in the 40s so although it rained 2 days straight we did not get snow. It literally snowed 2 days after we left!! Blowing Rock was a very short drive so we ate at the Town Tavern a few times and the food was amazing. We also ate at Bella’s in Boone 2x because it was that good. Walmart, Publix and liquor stores are all very close! Just a heads up… if you go over Christmas mostly everything is closed Christmas Eve or closes very early which is to be expected. BOOK THIS CABIN!! You’ll be glad you did!

We loved our stay at Gaits of Paradise. The floor to ceiling windows were ere beautiful and they had games we could play in our down time. We e have littles and there wasn’t a whole lot to put away to make it safe for them and any breakables. It’s in a gated community which was also really nice and local to all the attractions!

Lovely cabin in quiet wooded setting. Plenty of room for a family and our small dogs welcome. Kids enjoyed the game room.

The inside of the house is as amazing as the pictures. We spent some time on the pinball machine and arcade. Played board games on the table. Cooked meals in the well stocked kitchen. Son and Son-in-law had a great time outside at the firepit and in the hot tub. Walked around the property several mornings. It is a steep driveway, but well worth it for the feeling of isolation.
Location was great to get to the Blue Ridge parkway. Grocery stores were close. Town was easy to get to. Felt very safe. We had so much fun with all the amenities that we did not even turn on the TV. Great long weekend!!! Thank you

Nice place, good climate in August. Fan loud in downstairs bathroom. Driveway a little daunting but you get used to it.

Everything about this beautiful home is perfect for some time to turn off your brain and just relax. Thank you so much.

Wonderful stay, super clean house, really wonderful location which was close to everything, yet hidden away. You felt like you were in your own private forest once at the home. Our only suggestion for improvement is to ensure the 3rd bedroom only having a sleeper sofa is more cleared outlined for others. Our family member found it a bit uncomfortable but that is our only area of opportunity for the home. Would stay again.
4.8
It rained almost the entire time we were there, so this spacious cabin gave us plenty of space to relax and stay dry. The place overall is a bit dark inside, but the view through the large wall of windows was so beautiful, especially when the sun finally came out. The area is perfect for leisurely walks, with a nearby pasture that almost always had deer grazing. We would recommend this property to anyone who is visiting this area.

Beautiful open space, but quaint. Simply lovely!

We had a wonderful time at Gait to Paradise. The home is just lovely and was so welcoming. There was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our family time and celebrate our graduate. The kitchen had almost everything you would need to prepare meals. I can’t say enough about this home. I plan to rebook for next year when our other daughter graduates.
4.8
The property was better than advertised. All the amenities provided, clean, peaceful, quiet and access to Boone and Blowing Rock.
4.8
Just wished we had balls for the pinball machine, hot tub could use a wipe down as well. Otherwise, great place.
4.8
We very much enjoyed our trip! The cabin was very clean and very well stocked!! We were happy to be able to bring our two dogs with us, our lab especially loved the property. We were hoping to go th the Tweetsie Railroad but we’re rained out, so we are hoping to be back later this year to try again!
4.8
The pictures online do not do this cabin justice. They have thought of everything for a great stay in the mountains with comfortable beds, spacious rooms and nature right outside your window. We had such a wonderful time and will definitely stay here again.
4.8
We all loved this place from the remote setting, babbling brook and hot tub outside to the huge windows with view, big cabin feel and game room! Everything you need is there to relax and enjoy! Would definitely stay again!
4.8
It was great.
4.8
The house was nice, but not as clean as I’m accustomed to. Thick layer of dust in the house, excerpt in the table tops. Couldn’t use the outdoor furniture because it was all covered with dirty covers and when removed, the furniture was dirty too. The hot tub wasn’t clean. Slimy film inside the tub. Indoor fireplace didn’t work. The heat inside was on some type of timer. We would lower the temp for nights and it would go back up. We sweated all night. The outside of the property looked rough and was not tidy or clean.
4.8
Overall this house was great. It had the right amount of privacy, a beautiful layout inside the house, and was close to Boone, Blowing Rock, and a few of the other area attractions. Communication was clear and easy. Just a few points of feedback - 1) non-working indoor fireplace 2) pinball machine was short lived as the balls disappeared after a few plays 3) no foosball balls so had to use a ping pong ball 4) white flourescent ligtbulbs in the high ceilings could be improved by using a warmer light for better atmosphere 5) Felt some sandiness in the downstairs bed. Combining this with the fact that we didn't have to strip the beds leads one to believe that the sheets may not always be washed

We had a wonderful getaway to Gait to Paradise! We loved the privacy of the cabin, yet it was so close to everything Boone and Blowing Rock has to offer. We really appreciated the paved road entrance into the community—easy access yet seemed very private. Driveway is steep but we had no problems—however I would recommend arriving for the first time before dark if possible. Loved hiking around the property with our Labrador and she LOVED the creek in the front yard! We also had many deer visitors in the front of the cabin—7 of them at once one morning! We enjoyed the game room—especially the pinball game. We did a mix of cooking and going out for food—kitchen had everything we needed. Loved being close to Boone and Blowing Rock restaurants—10-15 minutes away at most. Property management was very easy to contact, and check-in and check-out process was seamless. We really appreciated how pet friendly the property was—even providing water bowls, leashes, and a crate. I think our dog Olive had the best time of all of us! Can’t wait to return!

Although the house is only 2 BR with a bonus/game room, the place had ample room to relax. Place was clean and ready for us. Hot tub was working great. and really only about 10-15 minutes to get to Boone or Blowing Rock. Communication with manager was excellent. We recommend this place.
4.8
This cabin was a nice little mountain hideaway that was still closely located to Boone, snow tubing at Hawksnest and other activities. Although our trip was a quick one we enjoyed hanging at the cabin, cooking in the kitchen and the hot tub. Will definitely be back.
4.8
We arrived to this cabin - gorgeous cabin in great location to Boone/Blowing Rock, decorated pretty for Christmas. My main concern was cleanliness - sheets were obviously dirty on multiple beds - I don't know if cleaning service just missed this or what happened. So, we spent the first night of the trip running out for detergent and washing sheets. There were also multiple wooden floor vents that were broken which was an obvious hazard for my busy 1 year old - large enough holes if he would have fallen into it would have been a serious injury to his leg/foot. It was a shame because the property was beautiful in a pretty neighborhood, but I would recommend the owner find a new property manager/cleaning service to improve the quality of stay for their guests.
4.8
House was clean on arrival and everything was as described. Christmas decorations were already up which gave the property an even warmer, holiday atmosphere. The oldest child had fun in the game room. Minor inconvenience that the original lock code did not work and needed to call to get another code but it was resolved within 5 minutes.
4.8
Very nice area cabin was beautiful and very peaceful
4.8
This cabin was perfect for escaping to the High Country for a long weekend. Centrally located between Boone and Blowing Rock, but completely private - we couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommend, and will defiantly return.
4.8
Really enjoyed this property. Cool setup with the game room. Lots of wildlife around the area. We'll be back.

We would stay here again!

Loved our stay at Gait to Paradise. We’ll be back.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Gait to Paradise. The homeowners have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub and video games, except we were disappointed we couldn't get the pinball game to work. Location is great and very dog friendly! We would definitely stay again.
4.8
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is spacious and comfortable. With two couples it is a perfect weekend retreat. Super close to Boone if you want to get down into town, but quiet and secluded if you want to stay at the house. The house is incredibly well equipped with everything you need for cooking/grilling at the house. Probably the best setup I have seen in a rental property. Wonderful local recommendations for food, hiking, etc. come with the house to keep you busy. Will certainly return if we find ourselves back up near Boone!
