A wonderful quiet, comfortable stay!

The property is in a wonderful little village which is so wonderfully quiet. The village itself makes you feel like you’ve gone back in time. We stayed in the Wensleydale room which was spacious, clean and comfortable and the under floor heating was a perfect touch. From pillow spray to decaf tea and coffee and lovely smelling toiletries in the bathroom. As well as the wee sheep hot water bottle on the bed. It was a wonderful stay and would definitely return in the future. Also, if you go for dinner in the pub then try the shoulder of mutton - beautiful!

Just a great location and "I will be back" as someone once said!!

The whole experience was great; having not been into The Shoulder of Mutton for over 50 years it was a most pleasant experience to note that the changes were subtle and the service was exceptional - Thank you

Very comfortable and clean accommodation. Staff were great and food excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely suite next to the pub. Very convenient. Great food and atmosphere and the staff were really helpful and friendly.

Access to other rooms was noisy at times but not excessive.

Great staff, a very cosy atmosphere and nice ‘home cooked’ food. The breakfast was nicely served direct from the kitchen. The bedroom was top notch, spacious, a very comfortable large bed, super large towels and bathrobes and a walk in shower. Top marks for the Shoulder of Mutton!

Good pub, easy parking very comfortable room great breakfast

Really comfortable room Great bedding, great shower, good tea tray. Very welcoming team and excellent breakfast. We also ate our evening meal here which was very good too. Added bonus is the local ale ☺️ My Husband and I enjoyed a lovely evening walk Very pretty area.

Lovely food, lovely staff, lovely beer, perfect room.

Struggled to get a taxi into harrogate which was the main purpose of our visit, however this was a blessing in disguise as we ended up having a fantastic evening in the pub.

Gorgeous little place with easy access to Harrogate and Wetherby. Friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous little Inn and the food looked amazing. Breakfast was also spot on! The room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and immaculate. Would deffo stay again. Thank you 😊

Relaxing retreat away from the hussle and bustle

Loved the atmosphere at shoulder of mutton room was very clean loved the little touches in the room and the under floor heating just made the stay so luxurious breakfast was gorgeous the eggs where amazing

the rooms was clean and tidy bed was very comfortable and the bathroom and shower facilities was excellent the staff was all polite and couldn’t do enough for us during our stay the food was all very good and with a great menu as well

tiny niggles- the bedroom could have done with a blackout blind as light came in at night! The croissant at breakfast was doughy but none of this would stop me from highly recommending this place

Quaint pub and comfy room for a quiet country gettaway

Lovely quaint old village pub with a roaring fire. A quiet place to get away from it all for an evening. The food was lovely and the chef made an effort to bring classics with a little twist. The staff attentive and welcoming. Good choice at breakfast, snd we liked the fact that the breakfast was included in the room price. Some nice little touches around the room - teas, coffees and biscuits, and they brought up some milk for us. We came for a 'date night' away from kids but it could be a good place to stay if you're a rambler or visiting family and friends in the area.

It was all lovely. It rained and not a lot to do in the village in those circumstances but that was in no-one's control!
