a weekend stay that was quiet and

Great house, great location. Perfect getaway!

The cabin was very cute and the location was nice, though there is a lot of construction at the end of the street. We really enjoyed going to Canyon Ridge Trails to hike. Our only suggestion would be to put brighter bulbs in the fixtures, even with all the lights in, it was extremely dark.

The cabin was just what the doctor ordered. Size was perfect for 2, though would easily accommodate up to 6. It was easy to find. And it was aesthetically pleasing and well maintained. And our host, Chase, was a pleasure to work with. He made things easy.

Owner was friendly and the house was perfect for what we needed. We would definitely stay here again. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. It was a short drive to town if we needed anything. We stayed here in the winter but I would love to come back when the weather is warmer.

We enjoyed the weekend with our fur babies and a visit with our son attending Auburn. We had every thing we needed: comfy bed, nice sized couch and TV for watching the Braves and Auburn games and a kitchen that provided what we needed to cook our meals. We spent most of our time sitting on the screened porch, perfect for rainy days. The boat slip was a nice touch. Our son picked us up in his boat to go fishing and watch the sunset. We also had pizza at Chuck’s marina around the corner, too. So good!

The waterfront house was in a beautiful location. The water was easily accessible and close to the marina. We docked our boat and had fun on the lake. I would definitely come back.

The house was perfect. It had everything we needed and had a large screened in back porch. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a slip for their boat, a very nice house and place to stay and is in very close proximity to Chucks Marina. Our dealings with the owner, Chase was perfect. Couldn’t have chosen a nicer place for my family to stay for a few days.

We really did love staying at this property! I only wish I had picked a time to stay when the water from the lake was actually at its highest. Turns out, the electric company was using the water for their purposes, which meant the water in front of our place was nonexistent. It’s still a beautiful home, well-maintained, and the host was a complete joy to work with. Any time I had an issue, he responded immediately! It was about a 45 minute drive to Auburn, where my daughter was going to school, so I might pick a closer place next time. However, if you are looking for something in the Lake Martin area, you would do well to book this property! The beds were extremely comfortable, and the place was well stocked. I liked hearing the stream while I was on the beautiful screened-in porch (with ceiling fans)! All in all, GREAT PLACE!

This was a wonderful property and provided an awesome stay. Somehow it makes you feel like you're right at home.

Good except for the exceptionally frigid temps that made anywhere unpleasant. Don’t like memory foam mattresses at any place of stay.

We recently enjoyed a perfect weekend getaway at this lakeside cabin. The home was very clean and comfortable and was perfectly situated on the lake. The neighborhood was quiet and offered just enough seclusion to make us feel as though we were in our own little hideaway. The property manager, Chase, was very kind and helpful, and he made the check in and check out process a breeze. The house was stocked with everything we needed, including a fire pit! We had a nice time grilling on the screened-in back porch and enjoying the views out of over the water (even though it was at a wintertime low). The one downside was two loose dogs (a great dane and a very menacing bulldog) that roamed the neighborhood every morning and upset our dogs, but of course that's no fault of Chase's! All in all, we'd very happily return for a future weekend here.

Friends gathering for a football weekend. Ideal location for enjoying the company of friends while taking in Auburn football.

We loved our stay! The place is clean and very inviting. The only thing I would say is that there are no blinds on any of the windows other than curtains in the bedroom, so it’s very bright at 7am when you’re wanting to sleep in a little. Also, there were only 4 towels and wash cloths for 4 people for a 3 night 4 day stay. More toilet would be nice too, but I ended up buying more. It is a very nice, clean, and peaceful place. We will definitely be coming back.

The cabin is close to Auburn while still giving you that lake get away feel. We were able to spend some time with our Auburn student and see the game. We will visit again soon!

We had an enjoyable long weekend for a family member’s birthday, The cabin was very nice and private at the end of the slough, right around the corner from Chuck’s Marina. Beautiful lake decor and great screened porch. A 30 minute drive to Auburn makes it convenient. Three negatives: The oven needs cleaning. We learned that the shower drain is slow, but does drain. The driveway needs attention in order to avoid getting stuck in the ruts caused by rainwater runoff. Entering the shared driveway from the furtherest point and driving slowly across the ruts helps to get to the parking in front of the cabin safely. All in all, it is a comfortable, lovely and private cabin for a family weekend getaway.

Nice house for a short lake trip with the family. Right next to Chucks pizza, so convenience for food was good. Location on the lake wasn’t my favorite, wish there had been a spot to swim. House could use a good deep cleaning but overall was maintained and tidy. Chase was super responsive with my questions and accommodated us checking out early. All and all, I would come back, especially since we were able to bring our dogs which is very hard to find with a rental.

My family had a great time. 83 Cheyenne is beautiful. The whole family enjoyed lounging in the lake. I loved sitting in the screened porch drinking coffee in the morning. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. I had a few questions before we rented and the host answered right away. The worst part was leaving! ❤️

Easy stay within walking distance to Chuck's
Chase was great to work with and quick to respond to any questions. The home is located across cross the water from Chuck's Marina. Both bedrooms are downstairs downstairs along with the full bathroom. There is a nice walkway to a boat dock you can use.

Enjoyed our time, but had a few snafus
To start, we enjoyed our time at Lake Martin. This review is meant to be honest about our stay & not intended to discourage someone from choosing this house, but to inform their decision.
The house we chose was at the end of a tiny finger off the lake. It was right across from Chuck’s Marina, which was closed when we stayed (end of March). That was perfectly fine with us as it appears it's a party place and we were there to take it down a notch and relax. Access to the water was easy. We kept our kayaks at the water's edge all week and no one bothered them.
We arrived on a Saturday, just after check in time. Entry was easy. We dropped off the stuff, left the kids to explore, and headed 25 minutes to Dadeville to get groceries. It was a little after 8pm when i went to turn on the grill, and found there was no propane in the tank. We reached out to the owner who said he would reimburse us, but we had to go get the propane--off to a bad start. We took a pic of the receipt and within minutes, we were reimbursed for the propane--but not for the trouble and gas (~9 mile & 30+ minute round trip). If it were me, I'd make sure to have 2 tanks on premises to ensure that my renters don't run into that situation on their vacation; but that's me.
The house was live-in clean (as in like my house), but not short-term rental, $100+ cleaning fee clean. Not a huge deal, but to pay such a high cleaning fee, the cleaning crew should have that place spotless. The Vrbo description says it sleeps 6, but there were only 4 sets of towels. We also had a flare up on the grill, which was on the upper patio (all wood). I was able to quickly take care of it, but I went to grab the fire extinguisher just in case it happened again, but there wasn’t one (which is illegal in Florida).
The first night the house was cool, but the second night it was cold. I woke up the next morning and tried to light the fireplace (which is shown in the pics). I found it was not operational since the home’s external propane tank has been removed. Turns out the house was cold due to a problem with the HVAC unit, which turned out to be a tripped breaker—easy fix. But I had to trouble shoot that with the owner (on my vacation) and that was after the fourth night which was even colder. And the fireplace not working should be in the description of the property.
As I said before, we enjoyed our time. I'd like to say some positive things (because there are some) but Vrbo limits the character count...

Super Spring Break
We arrived and the property was just as described. Communication with Chase was pleasant and he was helpful. The bed in the main room is very soft and comfortable. The full/queen bunk beds have a firmer mattress. Although there is a slip, there is not electricity, so we had to find a way to charge the battery for our trolling motor.
We loved the place because it was quiet and in a good location. Fishing was great!

Great Lake House
We had a blast staying at this house in March 2022. The house is very clean and nicely appointed. We brought a small boat and there was plenty of water for launching and using the dock. This is a great rental. A+

Perfect Weather
Was a nice get away and a beautiful warm weather weekend. Loved all 3 porches!! Internet and tv service was great. Chance was so kind and helpful. Would definitely stay again. The lake is beautiful.
Only thought is you are staying with all adults, the bunk full size bed room may be not quite be sturdy enough for a couple up top and bottom.
