The location was stunning. The house needs a lot of love though. Mold on the wall and all the outdoor furniture, missing hardware on multiple cabinets and doors, sparsely furnished, filthy vents. This is on the owners and no fault of housekeeping. The reviews all say the same. Vacasa was very communicative and apologized, but clearly nothing is being done between the rentals. They also didn't let us check out late even though the place wasn't booked for the day we left.

House was very spacious we found several items either needing repaired Or replaced But most of all my family had a great time on the lake. Lakehouse was awesome. We would love to plan another trip in the future.

The property was not safe and it was not as described on vrbo. Upon arrival at the property, we noticed many safety concerns, including gasoline containers, a chainsaw left unattended outside, and an excavator vehicle on site. This made the environment hazardous, forcing us to stay inside most of the time. I immediately notified the guest service representative on the first day of arrival about the unsafe conditions. However, no alternative was offered.

The space has so much potential to be amazing. The house is large and spacious, the outdoor area has a ton of space.
However, everything seemed in process and could have used a cleaning. It didn't seem like the floors were cleaned at all upon arrival, there was still hair in the showers. The yard was clearly under construction with tools, lumber and a backhoe in the middle. We found a knief and various screws/nails in the yard and could let our kids run around.
One of the beds was broken, something that was noted in a review a year ago. When we reached out to the management company we never heard back from them. It was clear they don't care or read the reviews since all the things noted by previous renters still applied.
The space has so much potential, I really hope they address the issues.

we enjoyed the property, gorgeous views and layout of the home.

This is a nice, older large house on the lake. It was a good location, right on the lake, and there were enough canoes and floats for the kids to use, with spare life jackets. Our only gripe was that the kitchen was not well-equipped. There were no pots and the pans, knives cookware was really old and unusable. So much so that we went to the local store and bought two pots and a frying pan for our use. One of the upstairs bedrooms did not have any side tables. Where do you put your water glass at night? Other than these small inconveniences, the overall stay was pleasant.

Large home on the private side (warm side) of the lake. Great location about 12 mins from grocery and takeout. Open layout of house, allowing for gatherings yet quiet sleep areas. Narrow, spiral staircase the dog and a couple older adults could not navigate. Home had everything we needed, although showing some wear. Like others have commented, lack of furnishings and care of dock area ignore a prime benefit of being lakeside. Heavily wooded area around house, so cool and shady on sunny days, but also resulting in lots of spiders and ticks. We had to be careful with kids and dog. Management was very responsive when we had an issue and provided clear and thorough information before check-in and upon arrival.

The property had several issues that i attempted to get addressed all week to no avail. A bed was broken and 2 family members had to sleep on the floor on the matress. Several knobs were missing on kitchen drawers and cabinets, 2 coffee pots and neither worked. If the issues had been addressed our stay may have been more pleasant. A lot of work needs to be done.

One of the cleanest homes I've rented. Celebrated my parent's 50th anniversary here and it was fantastic. We enjoyed the fire pit and my brother brought his boat and he and my dad caught lots of fish in the lake. The beds actually have dresser drawers within the footbed which is brilliant. As others have mentioned, with a few tweaks, it's a five star rental. My suggestions are: put small trash cans in each bedroom, put end tables and floor lamps in the living room and add more dishes (we didn't have enough bowls or coffee mugs.) Thank you for a lovely stay.

We loved how it was so close to the lake. It’s a very spacious house perfect for a big gathering. Also was a plus that it’s pet friendly. Our dogs loved running around the big backyard.

Beautiful home, great views! Plenty of room for all of us. We loved it!!!

The home is great for large group. The dock could very easily be a 5 if the screened area was cleaned up to be usable and furniture provided. We are thankful we read previous reviews as we brought the things missing from the house. The pots and pans could use refreshing but had most appliances needed. The reviews are correct about furniture in bedrooms. With just a few things it could be a 5!

Queens Spiritual Retreat
We were able to create an amazing energy in this space. The home is huge and beautiful. The check in and out process was easy breezy! The property is in need of more furniture in the home and outside. More tables and seating in the common areas. Someone needs to ensure the light bulbs are working and that the light switches and fans all work. We had an incident where one of the queen beds broke. The mattress fell straight through the bed. I can say they sent a gentleman first thing in the morning and he fixed it. Overall we had an amazing time on this property!

The house is very very nice, has a great view. Very private. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen and decks well appointed. Comes with 3 kayaks which the kids loved. Overall an excellent house and would definitely stay again. I took off one star because there are a few issues that could be easily remedied.
1. The screened in boat dock could be the focal point right on the water, but has has no furniture and is full of old water toys that need to be gone through.
2. The bedrooms need dressers as others have mentioned, and a tv in the master would be great.
3. Lastly, blinds over the bath tub window should be installed in the master. Definitely gave a peep show.
These were not a big deal. It's a beautiful house, we loved our trip. Dont hesitate to rent.

Perfect Girls Weekend
We have been doing girls weekends for years and this is by far the best property we've stayed at. Superior cleanliness, amazing views, easy water access (even for kayaking in March), and memories that will last a life time. This is the first property we've stayed where the photos are just like the actual home. We look forward to returning!

Great property!
Spent a relaxing long weekend at this house. Views were beautiful and the location was private and quiet. The rental management was very responsive and helped us get two items that needed replacing. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Lovely Property
This is a great house. Needed a few tweaks here and there, contacted the property manager who said they’d have maintenance come, but they never did. It’s been nicely updated, but no lamps in any common areas, only huge ceiling fans with harsh lights. The furniture was really nice in all the bedrooms and beds were comfortable. It rent it again for sure!

Great Location
Rented this property over thanksgiving break for a quick family holiday. We were about 10 of us so needed a large place with a large family/living room. The property also had a large TV and recliners which was great for a movie night. Overall it’s a good property and has a great location. It’s a bit minimal in terms of furniture which is visible from the pictures so that’s something to keep in mind.

Almost there
First of all, for location and view this house is a 10! And the house has lots of room. We were a group of ladies doing a craft retreat and we had plenty of room. It is clear that they are still setting this home up as a rental so it has a few things to make it the perfect house. There were several things that were not working (lights, outlets, etc - list has been sent to management company). The kitchen had some issues as well (dirty pans, items needed). A little more work and this will be a perfect vacation home.

beautiful property
The house is very nice with new appliances, but the furniture is sparse in the bedrooms. There is only one night table and no dressers or a place to put stuff. The beds are comfortable and everything was very clean. The use of three kayaks was a nice perk.

Great place for family gathering
This house is wonderfully located at the end of a point of Lake Anna, so it has great water views and access for kayaking. It is quite large with ample common areas both indoor and outdoor. Our extended family gathered for the 1st time since Christmas 2019, and the home was spacious enough for all to spread out when we wanted but the decks overlooking the lake and the dock house were where we tended to hang out, as the weather was perfect. The beds were very comfortable as were all the sofas and chairs. This was our 1st time to visit Lake Anna and we were very pleased.

Great location. Large home.
Large home in a private area on the warm side of the lake. Very well appointed kitchen, with sheets and home towels provided (not beach/lake towels). We brought baby gates because of the circular staircase as well as kids floaties and other floats/beach toys, games/toys, and a blow dryer.

Gorgeous Location but House Lacking Comforts
The land and the dock and the lake and the trees were all lovely. The location was terrific. The decks were very nice and welcome.

The good:
Beautiful waterfront location with easy access in and out of water with onsite kayaks/canoe. Huge yard, lots of room for different activities. Clean house with a good central layout. Large TVs, though we used our own streaming services as we had issues with the provided cable/satellite, and good bandwidth on the wifi. Has a convenience store/gas station/pizza place near by for last minute items.
The inconveniencing:
Spiral staircase from main floor to second is a toddler (or dog) nightmare. Alternatives to reaching the lower level include the deck stairs or main/side door exits, but a pain after the tenth time in a day. Could use extra pots/pans/casserole dishes, but had enough to be serviceable.
The bad:
Had a toddler walk into a ground nesting yellow jacket/wasp nest in front yard - specifically the center area that the driveway encircles. Stung four times and, as you can imagine, that cancelled all activities for the evening. Dad (that's me) was stung twice during intervention. With heightened awareness, we found another nest in the corner of the wood retaining wall in back yard by shuffleboard, as well as another by the boathouse. Reported the issue and got an apologetic response and request for pest control to be sent.
I understand its an outdoor/remote site and it could be chalked up to simple bad luck, but that doesnt do much for the 2 hours of tears and screams from a 3 year old who doesnt understand what just happened when they were moments before gleefully playing tag.
If you remove the wasp/hornet issue, it would have been a great experience and a recommended location.

Location
Nice house, nice location, but it's lacking the little details. Spider webs EVERYWHERE! Spraying down the deck and dock area isn't hard but would make a huge difference. Lightly stocked kitchen as well - tongs, baking dishes, etc.

Relax in the warm water and large home
Both the home and the lake were very inviting. The house is very large with lots of room to spread out. The dock and boat house were also large and the lake is deep enough for diving and jumping. We enjoyed the kayaks and warm lake water. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Home!
This is a beautiful home on a gorgeous lot. We loved having 3 kayaks available to use and enjoyed being out on the lake every day of our visit. The home was very clean and there were plenty of dishes, glasses, and linens. We will certainly consider this home again for a future visit.

April 2021 Visit
First things first, location, location, location. This spot is amazing for watching the sunrise from the the room at the back of the house in the morning with a cup of coffee. Panoramic, 180 degree views of Lake Anna and tons of privacy as the house as it is situated on a finger off of Bussbees Point. Lots of space in the main house, multiple decks, patio, large private lot, and boathouse offer plenty of places to escape to if you want a bit of quiet time or to just get away. Close to Grocery Store, Convenience Store, Breweries, Wineries, and a Cidery.
The only reason that this is not a 5 star rating is that the property is a rental and needs a bit of TLC in a few areas, but none of that will keep us from trying to rent this property later in the summer for another visit to Lake Anna. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to use your house for a few days to escape from COVID and spend a birthday weekend with our daughter.

Shangri-La
Great location on the private side of lake anna in a quiet, secluded cove. You can tell it was recently updated inside as everything seemed new and very clean. Kitchen was well stocked, little things here and there that they didn't have but will likely improve as they rent more. The big issue we had was the oven was installed incorrectly and caused us to not be able to use it the entire time, but the second repairman that came out said it should be resolved, so that shouldn't be an issue. The outside has yet to be updated, but the dock was large enough for us to lounge on chairs and watch the kids play in the water and fish. It has 2 great rooms with plenty of seating for a large crowds and probably the biggest TV I've ever seen! We were fortunate to have beautiful weather and able to enjoy the dock and lake all day every day!

Beautiful area
It was clean, and wonderful area. We loved the kayaks. Beautiful home that is obviously JUST remodeled. VERY clean, lots of space (almost too much? master bedroom was very echoing. lol) The view is incredible. We really had a lovely time. We took away a star because the TV downstairs wasn't working or hooked up right? We also thing that they may not have been ready for us because there were a few unfinished things, and the bathrooms had no working ventilation. Whoever is cleaning the place should get a raise, because it was really clean.
