Mr. McDonald was a doll. He was extremely nice and made sure we were okay every day. His back yard is filled with lovely fruit trees and a great view. I would suggest renting a car if you can as the property is up a pretty steep hill.

Super hosts! Comfy flat in local neighborhood
We enjoyed a relaxing two weeks in this cozy lower floor two bedroom apartment. It had all the amenities we need and all appliances, air-con, fans, TV, etc were functioning well. Kitchen utensils, etc were enough to fix meals there with a full fridge and stove plus coffee maker, microwave and toaster oven. We used it all.
The bedroom was comfortable with air conditioning in each bedroom. Plenty of towels provided, including beach towels. There was a washer and dryer on the premises.
Neighborhood: This is 1 kilometer up from downtown CHarlotte Amalie. Up a very steep hill. So a rental car is necessary to get around unless you are an Olympic athlete, a local islander or an old Chinese woman from San Francisco (those ladies can hike a hill). Hosts provided an off-street parking space (a major plus!) Bu definitely get collision insurance. Every car on the island sports major dents in it and we banged ours up on a narrow crowded street first day.
The neighborhood is residential with lots of neighbors having goats and chickens. So beware of roosters, etc sounding alarms at 4 am. But you get used to it. We felt very safe here.
Be sure to ask for directions to the property prior to arrival as even our taxi driver couldnt find the place at first, but we phoned and got there eventually.
Hosts were on premises in flat above. Super friendly and accomodating couple. We chatted daily while sitting out on the front porch in late afternoon which looks down on the harbor of Charlotte Amalie.
Apartment was clean, no bugs
We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again if coming to St Thomas.
Thank you both so much!!!

Nice stay..hosts were very nice
Nice stay. Host was nice. Just didn’t like we had to be so quiet at night while being on vacation. The host husband did come to our door way to much though

The host were friendly and very helpful. They took the time to show the island fruit on the property and have us all a taste. They gave us recommendations on what to do on the island. The place less clean and just as it was described.

Amazing Stay
I went to St. Thomas to celebrate my friends retirement and we had a great time. The host and her souse were absolutely amazing. Very helpful, responsive and they gave us great options to eat, have fun and were overall just great people. I would definitely stay again and if you are seeking a nice, homey and safe location. This is definitely the space for you.

Very awesome hosts
The place was the perfect size for what we needed. It was in an awesome location that was easy to get to the downtown areas and the safari to be able to get around. Clavia and Macdonald were awesome hosts. They took us up to the mountain top to be able to see the view, ate at a place we suggested down the street. (Small food truck) and talked to us through out our time. I am so happy we got to experience them and next time I come back I will be wanting to stay with them. We also got to eat some of their star fruit that is grown in their back yard and it was so good!

Clean and cozy
My elderly parents and I stayed here while their house was being renovated and my Mom recovered from surgery. It was a little slow, with the walkway and steps (only 2-3), but with two senior citizens, it was a 5min. treck to the car everytime, one way. But, we got used to it and managed to narrow it down to 3mins.
Clavia and her husband McClellan/McClaren (?) spoiled my parents with offers of breadfruit and mangoes. My Mom enjoyed the roosters crowing and all the goats across the street. We also enjoyed the way Gus (the cat), kept "guarding" the patio. Overall, we enjoyed our time together and they were able to rest, per doctor's orders, which was all that mattered to me.

Lovely Home, Best Value, Great Company
The house is immaculate with fancy AC systems in each room and can easily sleep 6 or more people with ease.all the utilities operate perfectly and the hosts live right upstairs and are there to help you with anything from checking in to recommending places to visit on the island!
Definitely will be staying with them in the future!
