A fantastic stay in a beautiful location and a friendly and loverly team that run it.

The team who run the fox are so friendly, helpful and go above and beyond to ensure you feel relaxed, welcome and have everything you need during your stay. Their customer service was fantastic and very refreshing to have such a friendly, kind reception when checking in/out. The pub is in the most idyllic setting and has a fab garden and view looking over a river. The perfect spot for a little get away.

Staff - exceptional service. Special mention to Andrea who excelled in her attention to detail and service. Breakfast - cooked very well with the eggs benedict and parmesan omelette being exceptional. Cotswolds Gins from the bar. Excellent picturesque location with ample parking .

The view from the room ( Burford ) was poor and the bathroom did not have an extractor nor a working heated towel rail. Evening meal - the soup of the day ( curried parsnip ) was not up to the mark

Beautiful tranquil location. Friendly, professional staff.

Very steep steps from car park to room. Not suitable for wheelchair or indeed disabled use. The hotel is set lower than car park, several sets of steep, stone steps. Lots of gravel, difficult to pull a suitcase.

Lovely stay, would 100% recommend!

The staff were really welcoming and happy to help with anything we needed. The rooms were lovely and spacious and they were really accommodating with any of our breakfast requirements!

We loved everything; - staff very friendly and super helpful - breakfast was great - location was beautiful and right on the river and overlooking fields - room was comfortable and a lovely new bathroom.

Would have loved a mirror in the bedroom as I was attending a wedding, but loved everything else.

The location is perfect and the room was big and comfortable. The food was really good, both dinner and breakfast. The staff is really attentive!

If I was being really fussy - Would have liked a box of tissues in the room. The small kettle was broken and leaking badly.

A delightful break

Perfect location next to the river Windrush and between the villages of Great and Little Barrington. The staff simply make this place. Without them it would be lovely. With them it’s wonderful. We were given a charming welcome by Luke on arrival who showed us to our rooms. Slight problem with a nice room but too close to the kitchen and the restaurant generator for a light sleeper. We were changed without a fuss. Andrea was charming. Lovely dinner in a great atmosphere. Our second dinner was presided over by Natalie who made sure that a birthday in our group was celebrated with a chocolate Happy Birthday iced on the plate. Breakfast was good and in a very nice dining room overlooking the river. Spotless rooms. Vicky was lovely and really looked after us.

It might be a little noisy if you are in any of the rooms above the bar & kitchen. we visited in winter and it was peaceful and pleasant.

The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable with a great view. The food was amazing at breakfast and the venison for an evening meal was fabulous. Great location.

Fantastic short stay! Stunning location, friendly staff, delicious food and a really cosy room! cannot recommend enough!

All staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was so cosy and cute. The bathroom was one of the cleanest and nicest bathrooms I have ever experienced and the food was really tasty!

Peaceful Cotswolds

Incredibly welcoming and helpful staff!! Our room (Upton) was really lovely with a very comfortable bed and a terrace overlooking the river which would be perfect on a summer evening. We only had bar-snack lunch and breakfast but they were both brilliant and the main restaurant menu looked great.

This is a lovely relaxed place. The room was excellent and it was so peaceful. The food was very good and we had no problems at all. The staff are wonderful. We’d go back in a heartbeat and probably sooner rather than later.

Lovely and quaint!

The location for a Cotswolds visit was perfect and quaint. The staff bent over backwards to make our stay absolutely lovely. They freshened the room everyday whether we needed it done or not. Bathroom was very modern. The food was amazing, made to order, and served in the restaurant or take away to your room. Dinner starts at 6, but as we were starving and jetlagged, they served us early! We were the only ones in the restaurant! We would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

There is a pub on the premises and outdoor tables near the rooms so it could be a bit noisy, especially on the weekend, but we turned on our white noise phone apps and slept with no problems.
