The room was a little dark

Lovely staff and excellent food. Room needed updating. Bed was comfy but room could do with blackout blind or curtains
Bathroom was old fashioned and window in room very mouldy

Clean, comfortable
Good location near to Blenheim Palace

Good Check-in, clean and comfortable bed. Good budget shower and bathroom. Free parking. Quiet motel room.
Room not as shown on Booking.com website. Budget style motel. Bland and dated styling of external motel style room with marked furniture and no artwork. Restrictive pre-booking of breakfast- didn't bother. Restrictive hours of restaurant - didn't use. TV worked on 1 channel only. Drafty large gap under room external door. Pub in darkness at 11am. No locals . Not a destination pub locally. Room mirror poorly located. Wouldn't stay here again.

Real value for money. I am surprised it is only 3 star, as it is better value than most 3 stars I have stayed at before. The beds were very comfortable, the room was large, the place was very clean and the staff were exceptional. I would definitely stay at Sturdy again. We also went to the most amazing restaurant nearby, so all in all, we had a great time away.

Staff were friendly and attentive. Beautiful countryside. I would not recommend it for a family as it is located next to a busy road, however as a couple, we really enjoyed our stay. We did not have food at the property, therefore I cannot comment on that.
We were very happy with our stay.
Room was quiet dated and dark.

The food at dinner was excellent, the service was attentive, polite and friendly and this extended through to breakfast the next morning. I felt relaxed and comfortable in a pleasant atmosphere at the inn thanks to the staff and the quality of my room. The room had plenty of space for me and was well appointed.
I couldn't find the iron in my room and whomever had cleaned the room earlier had let in a large bug (not a problem for me, I left him where he was and he seemed to pass the night in quiet contemplation but others may not be so tolerant of visitors!) and this should have been checked. I felt the £20.00 for half-board at dinner was a little bit on the low side but then I must admit I do not have a great deal of experience here so I'm no great judge. Only one bottle of water in a double room is also a bit off.

All the staff very welcoming and helpful. Room size was good and all facilities wanted were there.
Location a little remote but went to visit primarily to go to Blenheim Palace and only 5 mins away in a car so not an issue for this stay.

Fab staff, cheerful and helpful...couldn't be better. accomodation big and well decorated. food was great. Big portions and very tasty and good price. Rooms comfortable and location good.
Nothing really, but quite a few cobwebs in one room...big enough to mention.

Needed a place to stay with my 90 year old mum. They had forgotten we needed ground floor but soon changed it. It was all fine. There are stairs to the bar. Mum is still fairly agile so it was not a problem but might be for a similar person. The breakfast is served in a restaurant downstairs. Our only observation was we thought the place was a bit short staffed but it was never a problem. Useful for our visits to Blenheim. Clean and comfortable.
All Ok

The food was very good!!
My room wasnt great, really cold, heater turned off and window open. Also missing top window section. Had to get a staff member to sort the heating out. Very dusty room. Not great for the money

Great venue and the staff were excellent. From check in to check out, a lovely place and the location is quiet and superb if you are looking for a place to stay while visiting the country or Oxford area.
minor thing, just a small amount mould on the bathroom tiles & also shower head needs descaling, only minor things to complain about, otherwise we'd have rated a 10/10

Great place. Nothing lacking

The staff were friendly in the reception, bar and restaurant areas and dealt with all our enquires. They made this hotel.
The front of the hotel was smart and clean and blended in with the environment. When going to our room it was like entering into an American motel with double story rooms around a quadrangle. The cleaning of the room on our second day was limited at best, whoever made the bed needs to taught how to do it properly. It was messier than before making. In fairness the receptionist dealt with this immediately.
