Extremely well presented, modern, clean and had everything you would need for a stay. Even had electronic gated vehicle access and a covered parking spot.
The owners checked that all was OK with our stay and without being at all intrusive.
Perfect house in a fantastic village.
Nothing of note.

It was clean and modern
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent experience my party and I had at 3 Clough Cottages dates from Fri 5th – Sun 7th April. We had booked 3 Clough Cottages in Clitheroe, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of our expectations.
To begin with, despite making a reservation, it appears that our booking was not processed properly. Despite this, the payment was deducted from our account.
Furthermore, we were able to access the cottage – even though it seems without an actual booking. On Saturday 6th April we were greeted by the owner, who seemed unaware of our booking and was not expecting us.
Additionally, I must address the distressing call we received from a representative from Sykes Cottages on Saturday 6th April at 12:52. When the owner highlighted that our booking hadn't gone through, we had someone from Sykes Cottages call us, and her approach was extremely aggressive. She demanded that we either vacate the property or pay an additional £600. Despite our attempts to explain the situation and our proof of payment via credit card, she persisted in her aggressive demands. This unpleasant interaction put a significant strain on our holiday experience, as we were forced to deal with this issue while trying to enjoy our time away.
As a resolution, I kindly request a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding our booking and stay. Furthermore, I urge you to take corrective measures to prevent such bullying tactics with your staff and to do the necessary checks before contacting holidaymakers trying to spend quality time with friends and family.

The house was perfect. Really beautifully done, stunning views over the countryside and spotlessly clean. It was also great having access to a store under the garage; we had our gravel bikes with us.
Check-in was super easy and the owners had left great instructions and recommendations for things to see and do. We especially appreciated the pub/restaurant recommendations. The local pub is well worth a visit for a nice meal as is the cafe just down the road.
The area is great and we were able to explore a lot despite the rainy weather! Spent time in Clitheroe and the surrounding countryside. The roads are super quiet so good fun for biking. There is also mountain biking in the forest very close by.
Nothing.

Really lovely property. Everything was clean and fresh. Tastefully decorated and really well stocked kitchen.
All good !

The cottage was clean and comfortable, all facilities were presented well and the kitchen very well equipped. Our hosts left us milk and crumpets!! Definitely get brownie points for that!
The steps to the back door patio area were quite steep and so white it was difficult to see the edges of the steps, and it felt unnerving going down them, especially when wet. Maybe some contrasting edging may help.

No 3 Clough Cottages is an excellent property, which we all enjoyed. It is very comfortable, clean and had all the facilities we required. With wonderful view across the Lancashire Countryside and nicely placed for access to some fantastic countryside walks and bicycle rides.
We were travelling by bicycle and so had to travel light and as a result we were limited as to where we could go at certain times for food and drink. The village has only 1 cafe, which we didn't use so we can't comment on the food there, I'm sure it is very nice and it is literally on the doorstep of this property. However, there isn't a grocery store in the village where we could eg. buy a pint of milk. We were disappointed after a long ride on the Sunday and returning to the village around 7pm that we couldn't enjoy a nice pint in the village pub. The advertised closing time was 8pm but they wouldn't serve us just drinks an hour before their advertised closing time. We only wanted a pint !
