WE ARE OPEN, FULLY OPERATIONAL & ACCEPTING BOTH SHORT/LONG TERM BOOKINGS, POST HURRICANE-HELENE.
While our hearts are with all those affected by the hurricane, we are hoping you will still choose to come support us and our surrounding towns (Dillsboro, Sylva, Bryson City, Cherokee) as they are all open and eager to welcome guests back.

This dog-friendly secluded log cabin is on Rich Mountain, close to many attractions: Deep Creek for tubing, biking & hiking, Harrah's Casino, and Dillsboro/Bryson City for good eats, breweries/wineries, shops and train rides. Relax on the wrap around deck after a day of hiking (either right there on the property or to check out the countless beautiful trails with waterfalls just a short drive away).
Cabin is fully equip with everything you should need for your stay! Kitchen appliances/utensils, linens, toiletries, movies, books, games, etc. For those traveling with children, we do have a Pack'n'Play, and (sound only) monitor, as well as plastic/kid friendly dishes/cups.

Awesome place overall. Three of us stayed here and the bedrooms were comfortable. There were two clean bathrooms and plenty of space in the living areas. The house was nicely stocked with all the things you may need. In terms of location, it is very close (15-20 minutes) to the park as well as a few other really really cool towns with breweries, stores, and lovely downtowns - our favorites being Silva and Bryson City. Be aware, the road to the house off the main highway was a one land windy road that is quite steep. After the first drive up it, we were very comfortable navigating the roads being that high in the mountains you felt perfectly secluded- the week we were there we didn’t see any other people around in the complex. I highly recommend this place!

We love this place. Clean. Comfortable. Gorgeous home and view. Large porch. Quiet. Our second visit, and we can’t wait to go back!

We had a great time with the whole family. The house is in a gated (quiet!) neighborhood. The road is single track and steep in some areas.
Nice views all around. The house is clean and well kept. Proximity to the national park and the small towns around is a plus.

Our family has made several trips to Georgia and North Carolina for Thanksgiving, and this cabin stay was probably the best. Cabin was clean with appealing decor and exterior appearance. All amenities were there and in good condition. Photos do not do this property justice. Short ride to downtown Bryson City and the Smoky Mountain National Park. Will book again! Thank you!

I couldn’t be happier with the experience!
The host is EXTREMELY responsive. She gave me a close location beforehand so I could plan my trip, she got us booked for an extra night on short notice, was accommodating to our pups, and was quick to answer when I had a question before check out. WONDERFUL experience.
The cabin was perfect for the two of us, but would be more than comfortable for a larger group.
The view is beautiful, and not a single vehicle came our way during our stay.
Everything was clean, beautiful, and well-appointed.
THANK YOU!

Quiet and relaxing.

We came to enjoy the mountain and to learn more about our Cherokee heritage. The cabin was lovely and comfortable - just right for four of us - more could have joined us. Everything we needed was there for cooking, etc. It was not a long drive to the museum and gallery we wanted to visit. The view of the mountains was incredible.
We enjoyed the porch for viewing while we drank our coffee every morning and for watching the stars every evening. I recommend it highly.

Had a great time unwinding with the family over Thanksgiving. It was adequately equipped for pretty much everything we needed.

Beautiful place with great views.

The cabin is perfect for 3 couples with 3 queen beds. Common area is good for small groups. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. 15 to Great Smoky Mountains NP. Lots of adorable little towns nearby. Highly recommend

The cabin was great and everything was very clean. The view was amazing. The road to the cabin was a challenge but we did enjoy the peace and quiet.

A great cabin with beautiful views. Extremely clean. As other reviews mentioned, the road is narrow and winding, but that is to be expected in the mountains. It was paved the entire way, and we had no issues.

We absolutely loved this place! It’s impeccably clean and had everything we needed. This place was sooooo quiet. There’s no traffic noise since we’re on the other side of the mountain from the traffic. We’ve never been somewhere this quiet. Gorgeous location, in the trees, Mountain View. Beds were comfy. Kitchen has everything. House was nicely designed. Loved, loved this place. And it’s close to all the cities nearby. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful mountains!
The cabine and view are awesome. The road to access the place is dangerous scary and we decided not to leave the place at night. There are not places to eat around but in the Casino

Wonderful place to stay in the mountains!
We had a great time staying at this cabin! The cabin itself is beautiful and perfect for a small group. The large porch looks out to an amazing view, which you can also see from every common area inside the cabin. The grounds immediately surrounding the cabin are well maintained. We sat by the fire area outside and watched 2 deer walk up the ridge 20 yards away from us! The small road in can be a little tricky to navigate, but is not too bad. I drive a full size truck and was able to get in and out without a problem. We would love to return to this place!
4.8
Clean and well kept. Plenty of room for 6. Little hard navigating to get up to the house (I drive a large truck) so the turns are tough.

Loved this place. House is lovely and well equipped. The road up (and down) was fine, paved and places to pull over if needed. Some people commented on the difficulty but we had no trouble and all of us are older (65+j. View is amazing! Thank you.

Beautiful cabin
This cabin was very nice and clean. Kitchen stocked with essentials. The road into the cabin is very sketchy with one way traffic. Going in at night was touch and go with all the hairpin turns and small roads. We drive a Tahoe and some of those turns we had to back up and turn again. Meeting cars on the one way one lane road is not a good feeling as you have to back to wherever you can to let the other car by or they do the same for you. Again cabin great, location not a fan.
Owners are very responsive to emails.

Property as described. Place was clean. Beds are soft and comfortable if you prefer soft beds. Fire pit is great option and having the water hose right there was very convenient to put the fire out.

This is an amazing property. It is secluded, has great views, is very clean, and has a well-appointed kitchen. The owners are excellent at communicating with renters. As mentioned in the other reviews, the road to the cabin is narrow, winding, and steep but that adds to the adventure!

5 of us stayed here for a long weekend and I can’t say enough about the property. It was more than we could hope for and the view was amazing! Super clean, comfortable beds and furniture, and all around homey. We’ve already talked about staying here again!

So, in all fairness, the actual property is gorgeous . The view is spectacular. Here is the problem: once you get off the Main Street, the owner provides a handwritten map . What he doesn’t tell you is that the road is so narrow that it only fits one car width . To compound the problem, the inclines are at 30-45 degrees with 180-130 degree turns on a single car road! We took our Denali 2500 truck and it was close to impossible to access the cabin! Worse of all, it was downright dangerous ! The owner should have made it clear to people that large vehicles is not recommended. This was misleading to us. Just some background. I’m an emergency room doctor and for the last one year , as most people can imagine, it’s been emotionally difficult to deal with an unknown disease and so much senseless death. This was our first trip in the Covid world and we took our elderly parents . We never stayed because the treacherous trip up to the cabin from the main Road was terrifying . My parents were too nervous to continue the trek in our truck. I contacted the owner and let him know this and he basically did not care one bit . It’s sad to see just how low the human condition has gone to. Yes, the cabin is beautiful, the views are awesome . The owner does not reflect the cabin or the beauty of the nature it surrounds . The owner should be ashamed of himself. This is how he treats the folks who risked their lives on a daily basis to treat others. How sad

The home is pristine set on a mountainside. The home was just large enough with magnificent views. Hosts were great with very clear instructions and communication. My friends were thrilled with the views at the place and we had an awesome time. Will def stay again in the fall when the leaves are changing.

Grand Seclusion for Sure
Perfect vacation for peace and tranquility in the Smokies near Cherokee. We had a great time and wished we would have booked for longer. Dinner in Bryson City, drove to Natahala River to see the whitewater rafters and saw some Elk. Cabin not far from Blueridge parkway. Got to do an 8 mile hike on Black Balsam Knob and other trails. The views were breathtaking. Cabin was perfect and totally peaceful. Very happy with our stay at Grand Seclusion. I'd highly recommend it.
