About this house rental
Welcome to the Queen Street Guest Suite!
A private guest suite in a 1920’s bungalow in Northcote Point. The guest suite consists of:
⭐️ 3 bedrooms (2 queen and 2 single beds)
⭐️ 1 bathroom with a bath and shower
⭐️ a kitchen (no dishwasher, washing machine or dryer)
⭐️ a small sunroom with a TV and double sofa bed.
You’ll be close to the cinema, cafes, a historic tavern, wine bar and bush walks. While only being a ten minute drive from the city with public transport options a short walk away.
The house is a 1920’s bungalow (celebrating its 101st birthday this year). It is mostly original, it is not a modern house - the doors squeak and the floors creak!
The guest suite comfortably sleeps 6 people but can accommodate up to 8 with the sofa bed, if you don’t mind sharing one bathroom. There is also a cot available for an infant.
The guest suite is attached to our home but the door that accesses the rest of the house is locked on both sides for your privacy and security. You will have separate and exclusive access through the front door.
There is off street parking available for 2 cars as well as free on street parking. There are buses that run from the top of the road (10 minute walk) and a ferry running from the bottom of the road (also a 10 minute walk).
Dogs are welcome by arrangement with their own bedding but please be aware that the garden is not fully fenced.
Check in is available from 3pm onwards and check out by 10.30am.
If you need the sofa bed or the cot, please let me know when booking and I will set it up for your arrival.

older villa with all that brings.Lauire was super to chat with and very helpful. It would be a bit small for 8 people but great for the 2 nights 6 of us were there .A real gem to find close to everything with a realistic price .Thank you we will stay again

It was a great meeting place for 3 of the family of 12 couples to stay and get together. We were all comfy and our needs were met.

The location and Laurie the host are excellent. The house is quaint and memorable and probably what you can expect from a house from the 1920’s. We stayed during peak winter so it was quite cold but also part of the experience for us, coming from a tropical climate!

Great stay for a few days. Exploring the city.
Only squeaky beds, otherwise fine.

Laurie is a great host. We felt welcomed and settled in quickly. The place has everything and were very pleased with the whole stay.
Close to the big smoke and all the bustle to get in the mix... but just far away enough too, bonus.
Ka Pai hoki koe!

My family and friends really enjoyed staying at this property just over the Harbour Bridge from Auckland. The property had some quirks but these were well described in the listing (older home, creaks, etc). The location was simply excellent. Easy to get to the city, but no need to go further than walking distance for good coffee / brunch.
Really appreciated being able to bring our dog on holiday with us as well.

Fantastic location. Loved the thoughtfulness of the hosts - left little chocolates on each of the pillows, who friendly products used throughout the house and great set of books to enjoy reading whilst you view out to the harbour. Great communication, property was clean and had that charm of an older style home. Thanks for having us!
