Overall it was a decent VRBO. Beds were very comfortable but bedrooms did not have tvs and were smaller than pictured (had attic ceilings). Plenty of eating space and stocked well but seating in the living room was not comfortable for family of 4. Also did not realize that it was a 2 family and host was on the other side.

The house was cute and comfortable for our stay. The beds were comfortable , Linda is in property , friendly. And helpful. The house looks just like the pictures. Linda has 2 super cute and friendly dogs. The location is right off the freeway with easy access to the surrounding area.

This property is perfect for a family stay and close to the casino which we went to. Everything was clean and described wonderfully. Off street parking which was nice as well. Host was very communicative and responded quickly.

We enjoyed our stay! The place was right off the highway and convenient to stores and casinos!!
Very steep stairs access the bedrooms, and the ceilings on the upper level are slanted.

The property is in good condition. Parking is an issue, but we were told about this in advance.
We asked the host for any spare holiday decorations, and she provided a nice little tree and ornaments.
We did have an issue, the stairs in this house are extremely steep. We inquired about the steps since my elderly mom was traveling with us. The host stated that there are only 12 steps. I feel the host should have said that these stairs are very steep and not good for an elderly person. There was no sleeping accommodation on the main floor which might have alleviated this issue.
Also all of the bedrooms and the bathroom upstairs had slanted ceilings that resulted in a few bumped heads.
We had to book a hotel room for sleeping and showering. I contacted the host immediately and as expected was denied any type of refund.
We continued to use the house in the daytime for visiting with family, etc. A large pot would have been nice to have. I bought one and gave it to my daughter who lives in CT
This trip cost us an additional $700 since we had to reserve a hotel room and still pay for the VRBO.
We did try to get a partial refund from VRBO after we got home but were told it was too late. They communicated with the host and we did receive a tiny refund of $62.
Overall, this house is acceptable, if you know about the stairs and slanted ceilings in advance and are ok with them.

Great house, very home like and comfortable. Only problem we had was microwave didn’t work but we didn’t message owner as it was no big deal to use.

We were in town for a convention at the casino. It was close by, and even though we had to stay super late at the casino for the convention, check in was super easy. The place was cute and convenient. Her dogs are adorable and the rumba definitely accidentally scared us in the middle of us watching a horror movie 😂

It was great to have our own bedrooms while visiting CT for a wedding. Driveway was a bit tricky to find at night and in the rain.

Great communication, good location across from a pizza restaurant, check in was easy, 13 min to the casino if you like that, bedrooms & bathrooms upstairs have slanted ceilings.

The puppies are also adorable. :) This was easy to find and accessible to where we needed to be. There is parking, but I will say it's sometimes challenging to get back out of the parking area. Nonetheless, I would happily stay here again, and the host was very kind.

Thank you for the hospitality- our stay was pleasant. Sorry we got the check out time wrong. Appreciate your patience :)

Linda was great to work with and very quick to answer any questions we had. The house is cute, and she did a great job renovating, but has low ceilings over the beds due to the age of the home. It's really not an issue as long as you pay attention. It is on a fairly busy road, but we didn't really notice the noise inside the home. She provides all you could need (bedding, dishes, utensils, towels, etc.) and is not far from shopping, so it's easy to cook your meals at the house. The house is only 3 hours from the furthest tip of Cape Cod, where you can go whale watching, and it's a fairly pleasant drive. Boston is less than 2 hours away, or you can stay local and still have lots to do. We enjoyed our stay!

We were happy to have 3 bedrooms, and the half bath downstairs off the newly updated kitchen was nice.

My daughter and I had an exceptional stay in this beautiful historic home. There’s a back door near the parking area that is right by the stairs, which makes bringing luggage up to the bedrooms quick. We had a late flight and got settled quickly. The beds were all very comfortable, and there was plenty of extra bedding. The street is busy during the day, but even as individuals who have chronic migraines, we didn’t have problems with the road noise. It was nice and quiet at night, and there was zero noise between the duplexes. Linda is having new windows put in soon and the noise will be even less than our experience. The ceilings are low in parts of the bedrooms, but that is expected in a historic home, and the layout of the rooms makes it so that there are ways to get in and out of bed without much or any trouble. The kitchen was clean and spacious, and the dishes and pots/pans weren’t too heavy for us to use. The living room furniture was comfortable and there was nearby restaurant menus and activity guides for Norwich available. The living room lamps on the table behind the couch had USB ports, which was so convenient! Linda was available to answer questions, and she was so kind and friendly. This stay made us fall in love with Norwich, and it truly felt like we were at home. This was one of the best stays we have ever had, and we cannot recommend this wonderful home enough!

The house is perfectly situated next to the highway, 7/11, Dunkin and was such an easy drive to the casinos. The beds were comfortable, with a large kitchen. It’s a perfect house for a great weekend getaway with family/friends. Highly recommend! And a big plus were the dogs next door!

Rented the house for a birthday casino trip. 3 couples. 6 of us were very comfortable. The host was great. Lots of new modern finishes and appliances. Very clean. Location was great. 10 min to foxwoods.
Only thing was the stairs to go up to bedrooms are very short and steep. Pictures show the slanted ceilings in bedrooms so we were prepared for that.
Will definitely book again if we had up that way.
Great size.... clean and cozy for the price.

We chose to stay at Linda's home for the close proximity to Mohegan Sun as we were going to the Carrie Underwood concert. Linda has done a fabulous job renovating her historic home. Yes the stairs are steep and the ceilings are low....those things come with a home like this. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen is spacious. If we could wish for anything, it would have been to have one more chair for the living room. Linda is next door if there are questions. Her dogs are friendly and loved to greet us when they were outside. We'll stay again if our travels bring us in that direction!

The space was perfect for the 6 of us. Had the grinders from the store / deli up the road… Soooo Good.

We came to the area to visit The Dinosaur Place and Mystic Aquarium. Hotels in the area were far more expensive, and we got 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry, and a full kitchen which was great for our family with 2 young children. The owner was friendly, the area was fairly quiet except for the noise of frequent traffic going up and down the street, and the house was clean with new floors throughout, new washer/dryer, cabinetry etc.

Was a well kept home and we enjoyed our stay!

The stay was comfortable and just as listed. Manager of property was friendly and the check in process was very easy. Only reason for one star off the neighborhood is the club/bar on the other side of the street had some loud patrons at late hours, no fault of the property owner but did make sleep a little more difficult. Overall a wonderful stay though.

The owner was quick to respond and answer questions. This is a renovated older home with new shower and appliances that are very nice. The upstairs bedrooms aren't made for tall people just an FYI! But my 6'6" husband maneuvered the low ceilings OK. The mattresses were super comfy!

We were visiting family in the area and this property was very close to the main highway (395). The owner was very friendly and accommodating considering we did not arrive until 3:30am.

We found Linda's property to be clean and comfortable. It was perfect for us to meet up with other family members to enjoy dinners and games at the dining table. Located in easy distances to Niantic, Waterford, New London, Mystic, and Stonington. Because of the slope of the roof line, one has to be careful when walking around in the bedrooms and for those with bad knees the stairs might be steep. For us, it was perfect. The beds were comfortable and we would stay here again.

Quiet get away
I wanted something quiet and relaxing while in town for a basketball ball game.
The home provided just this. The hostess was warm and convenient with any questions we had.

Nice location to be close to beach and casino. Nice home that had everything we needed for a home away from home. Owner was very pleasant and helpful.

Great stay!
The house was perfect for what we needed! Linda was very helpful and we loved getting to know her and her dog. The house was updated with all new appliances and we were able to cook our dinners with ease! We were in town for a wedding and got to see a lot of local spots as well as take in some history. Definitely would stay again when back in New England.
