Pointe West is a fabulous resort community at the end of Galveston Island where the beaches are big & beautiful. Residents enjoy two resort style swimming pools, a fitness center, restaurant, game room, gift shop, and numerous social activities throughout the year. A short golf cart ride to San Louis Pass beach and many fishing spots.
***Please note that you will need to obtain a wristband and access code from the Beach Club to take full advantage of the resort facilities (pools, gym, clubhouse game room, restaurant and bar). They charge $25 per guest 4 years old and older for the entire length of your stay. This fee will be paid directly to the club upon registration. *** (Due to Covid, you will receive an email from the Pointe West POA to prepay for your wristbands. The primary guest on your reservation will show an ID at the Beach Club Office to pick up the wristbands.)

They have water, chips, and ice cream for $1! Please stop by and say “Hi” to Alice and see all of the treasures packed into her tiny shop. If you forgot something, she probably has it! The Gift Shop is open 7 days a week during the Summer and Friday-Sunday during the mid season and closes for winter.

This home was so welcoming. The place was very comfortable and we loved that it was organized and it had many things we didnt know we needed. We enjoyed the open floor plan downstairs. Loved the balcony sitting area. This home is also in a great location. My family and i will definitely come back

We enjoyed our stay very much and had a great time. The house is extremely clean and very spacious. The views and surroundings are fantastic. The only downside was that there was a lot of construction work on the surrounding properties with some noise on daytime.

The house was great. Had everything we needed plus nicely stocked kitchen, lots of games, beach tools, towels. Owner was incredibly responsive when we had a question on the first night. Super close to beach!

The photos of the property are great, but they don't even begin to do the Purple Pearl justice! The house is spectacular and so spacious we got lost in it. We were here for the long weekend and didn't experience everything the house had to offer.
We saw beautiful orange and pink sunsets from the front balcony in the late afternoon as we rocked in the rocking chairs; all the balconies caught the sea breeze, and the kitchen was fully stocked (and organized!).
The bedrooms were beyond comfortable, and one of the adults even opted for one of the spacious bunk beds. The showers in the Master bedrooms were gorgeous with good water pressure. The hallway tub/shower combo bathroom was perfect for the rest of the family. The 1/2 bath off the kitchen was very convenient.
Our 6-year-old thoroughly enjoyed her "treasure hunt" when she opened the closet door that held the games and toys; she was thrilled when she found the kite and the Barbie truck downstairs in the garage to take to the beach (thank you, by the way!). She was amazed that toys were provided just for the children :).
The adults were surprised by the beauty and comfort of the house (and the bottle of champagne and the chocolate wafers that welcomed us). My daughter loved the house and the neighborhood so much that she started looking for homes for sale.
To sum it up, we love this place and the hosts and didn't want to leave!

The house was stunning. It is very well furnished, with comfortable mattresses, a stocked kitchen, beach toys and chairs, Sonos and more. Our 3 kids loved the oversized bunk beds. The two primary bedrooms were huge with big bathrooms. Wifi was fast.
The walk to the beach was very short, shorter than I thought it would be after looking on Google Maps. We used the host's wagon and made the trip multiple times with no complaints from the kids. It wasn't very windy when we went, but the Shibumi shade still worked perfectly and provided great shade without having to lug a heavy tent. We had no trouble accessing the beach club. Our passes were waiting for us in a lock-box for after hours pick up.
Johnson and Courtney were great and very helpful. We didn't need anything during our stay, but they still checked in prior to and multiple times during our stay to make sure we were ok.
Overall we were very impressed and definitely recommend the Purple Pearl.

The property and hosts are amazing! The house itself is spacious, in a perfect location walking distance from the beach. The outdoor decks provide views of both the beach and bay sides, and are close to the pool facilities at Pointe West.
The property is in pristine condition, and is fully furnished. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi are in full working order, and the living areas allow everyone room to spread out.
We can absolutely recommend this property for your next stay!

This home was beautiful, very organized, and clean. I love how every drawer and cabinets were labeled where things belong. Everything we needed was provided. We loved the private beach, no crowds. We loved the choice of 2 pool areas in the community. The owners communicated with me, checking if we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again! One friend already asked for the info for their next vacation.

This property is BEAUTIFUL!!! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Purple Pearl! It is exactly as the photos and even better in person. The place is CLEAN which rates very high in my book for staying overnight at a beach house. The place is spacious, enough room for family to convene in together spaces or individuals to have some quiet time on one of the decks or family room spaces. We had two toddlers with us and they played so comfortably and we could tell they enjoyed this home too! The owners were super easy to work with with with great communication, friendly and accommodating. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking - they thought of everything! The beach is a much shorter walk than it appears in the photos, too! We rented a golf cart to get to the pools and also to the beach part where we could drive on and it was so much fun! 10/10 recommend to families looking for a fun family vacation!

My whole family enjoyed our stay at The Purple Pearl. The rooms perfectly accommodated 3 couples and 4 kids. The kitchen was well-equipped and the beach closet had everything we needed. It is a very short stroll to the beach, but we enjoyed renting some golf carts to zip around to the pools. We would love to stay here again!

Everything about the house met our expectations! We took our kids and grandkids and had perfect amount of space upstairs for them and great second master bedroom and on-suite on first floor for us (grandparents) for some privacy. The kitchen was great and we cooked all our meals there. Local convenience/grocery stores in reasonable distance to get frozen food and last minute items. The Large toy closet was a hit with our grandchildren that were ages 4 and under and kept them completely entertained during the times we were indoors. Location to beach (walking) and pools (driving) was easy to get too. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Would definitely consider staying there again.

Our stay was perfect! Location is a short drive to pool, and 15min walk to the beach with kids and wagons full of stuff (5min if you are just walking by yourself). House was stocked with everything you could possibly need. We loved how family friendly the house was like the books and toys for the kids, kids plates/cups/cutlery and access to Netflix and Amazon prime if needed. Lots of stairs, so just be mindful if traveling with elderly or small children. Super responsive host, we greatly appreciate that! Overall we had a great stay and would rent again if we were staying in the area! Thank you!

The neighborhood is beautiful! The home was perfect for 3 couples and 4 grands under 8! The kitchen truly has every appliance needed and neatly organized with labels on every shelf to easily put items back where they belong! Plenty of room to prepare and tables inside and out. The outdoor areas have everything you need to relax and enjoy.The owners were able to answer any ?s within minutes!

Kids were very content with the many games and toys provided! A couple minute walk to the beach!!! This property is exactly as advertised! Clean, comfortable, inviting spaces. Very equipped so there is not much you need to bring with you. We did rent a golf cart, not necessary due to proximity of beach, but we like to buzz around Pointe West in it. Great house, big value for the money, delivered relaxing, chill weekend. Owner is engaged in the process and is great to communicate with and one of easiest check in processes we have ever had. Thank you!

This house is pristine and amazing in every sense of the word. The location to the beach was awesome, the “short walk” was literally that…a very short walk. The kids loved the bedrooms, game closet and ability to separate with the additional tv room upstairs. The homeowner, Johnson, was extremely responsive and willing to answer any questions and help out where he could. Cannot recommend this re tal enough!! You won’t be disappointed!

This place was amazing. The house was perfectly furnished for our family of 10. There were many games and toys for the children, a hammock which provided lots of fun, and the items for the beach were great. The beach was clean and not at all crowded. We all loved the experience.

We loved our time at the Purple Pearl! Location by the beach was so convenient. The design of the house was outstanding, and worked so well for our family. The thoughtfulness of toys for children, beach equipment, as well as a wonderfully equipped kitchen was an extra plus. The owners were great hosts, very helpful and always communicated promptly. Quiet getaway
We had a fantastic three days at this house. The owners were fantastic at providing information about the area and adding personal touches for our stay. The house is beautifully decorated and has all of the items needed for a short or longer stay at the beach. We would definitely come back.

Best of Both Worlds
We had a short get away to Galveston with one other family and the setup was perfect. Clean home and beautifully constructed. You really get the best of both worlds with beach access just a short walk or clubhouse access to an awesome restaurant and pool/lazy river. Super kid friendly which made it nice since it rained 2 of our days. The game closet and guest access to basically any steaming service you want was a huge perk on those days. Owner was extremely kind and very quick to respond or check in on you. Would definitely recommend staying at The Purple Pearl!

The beach house was amazing. The Master bedrooms were great for 2 couples and a lot of teens. Very modern decor, lots of space for kids to hang out away from parents. The bottom floor was fabulous w a ping pong table and lots of chairs while we played cornhole. We will be back!

Family Thanksgiving
This is, without a doubt, a "FIVE STAR" beach property. Communications with the host were excellent. Kept us well informed from reservation to welcome to departure. This property is exactly as described and depicted in the pictures. No surprises here. The house was immaculate in cleanliness and presentation when we arrived. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything the family chef will need. Outstanding informational house book, which you receive prior to arrival, lists everything for your use throughout the house. Saves a lot of time second guessing if you think you need to bring something. Bedrooms were spacious with great beds. Plenty of room to spread out with two family room areas and four outdoor areas. The house is a short walk, 100 yards to the dunes cross over to the beach. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend this property for anyone considering a beach visit to Galveston. Its location, the house itself, and superb host make this a great place to spend that beach vacation.

Perfect Home
This was the BEST Experience we have ever had with Renting a home for a getaway. There is nothing the owners did not think of. The home had everything we needed and MORE. We will definitely be sharing with friends and family and cannot wait to go back !!
