This is the listing for the 1-bedroom Blue cottage. One of 6 colorful cottages in a row at Twin Hills Cottages of Acadia. A Historic landmark since 1947 on Rt 1 at the gateway to the Acadia area.
Each cottage has its own decor and features a covered porch. This cottage is furnished with a large queen bed. Additional amenities include Mini fridge, coffee pot, microwave, desk space, and a TV with Roku.
Like a hotel room but with more privacy. Why stay in a regular hotel when you can have your own colorful cottage. Each cottage is its own unique space. Private and comfortable featuring a covered porch with outdoor sitting area, 1 queen bed, private bathroom, microwave, mini fridge, coffee machine, flat screen TV, and desk space.
**NO Kitchen
Guests will have access to their own private cottage as well as use of the grounds. There is a shared Fire Pit. There is a spot right down the road that sells camp wood. Please leave the area as you found it. Clean up any mess and make sure the fire is expelled completely before leaving it unattended.
Things to note:
-These cottages are bedrooms only and do not have full kitchens.
-Parking is directly in front of the cottage leaving the gravel road clear for other cars to pass.
-This is one of 7 cottages, 5 apartments and a 5 bedroom house on the property.
-The Internet service is slow in the area, it is OK but can be effected by anything from wind to humidity, even connected directly to the router it can be slow and spotty. We are in a wooded area between two large hills outside of town. The service provider is working to expand its coverage and we can only hope it will get better.

The cabin has everything you’ll need. Comfortable bed, internet, A/C, coffee, picnic tables, grills…. And best of all they are clean! We’d definitely recommend staying here.

cute property, price right but expensive clean fee for one night. rugs need to be replaced in cottage, but cute decorations, great air conditioning.

Great communication from property manager. Worked with me when other accommodations had fallen through and saved my vacation. Room was clean and had everything we needed to make us comfortable. Fire ring was a nice way to unwind after hiking Acadia.

A nice quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of Mt Desert Island. Lots of dining options in nearby Ellsworth that were not overly crowded or expensive. Very clean. Fire pits out back for some nice evening campfires.

Tiny which was expected.

Very small but cute. Frig makes gurgling sounds all the time! The road noise is horrible! The door needs a seal in it it bounces back and forth trying to put in the code. There is no where to put your clothes or any where to put your bathroom stuff. No one is really cleaning there was dirt in behind the night stands, the ceiling fan had a lot of dust on the blades. The microwave was dirty inside. You are right on the road, the first morning they cranked a lawn mower right by our window like 8am and mowed like 20 minutes and left. I would NOT recommend this place at all. If u are staying 3 days put enough towels and washcloths for those 3 days!!! I mean come on man! The floor is very slick in the bathroom when it gets a little damp, be careful!! Don’t stay

This was a wonderful overnight space! The stay was clean and comfortable. There were clear and specific instructions from Jon that made our check in/out extraordinarily easy despite arriving late in the night and leaving before sunrise. This allowed us to make the most of our trip!

Very nice little cottage. Liked the picnic tables & fireplaces. Loved that it had a little porch we could set out on. Close to town was nice

Clean, small cottage with one room and a private bathroom. Perfect for my needs as a solo traveler, and was easy to book and stay in with no hassle.
Ellsworth is a lovely town, about a 10-15 minute drive away.
