The unit is spacious, a bit old but fully renovated floor and carpet with heat pump. Beds are comfortable as well as the sofa bed.

We really enjoyed our stay. Was nice to be somewhere that was dog friendly and super comfortable. We will definitely stay again, the book they provided had some great places to check out was really helpful. We went for a lovely walk around the Blue Lake and also the redwood. The place was clean, with comfortable bed (I’m fussy being a chiropractor) , linen was lovely and great overall. I especially loved the llamas and sheep in the field in front of the place. Thanks

Great place to stay nice and quiet also away from the potent Sulphur smell. Lovely playground for children and farm animals on site. Rooms are super modern everything you need for a Lovely getaway. The TV was actually positioned really well which is hard to find many hotels have it hung to high up in some corner. Worked fine with cast but user not able to clear storage so a small alert pops up often in lower right corner reminding that space is running out on storage. Dont know what was causing this but random tapping sound comes and goes from inside the ceiling above the closet frame this is for room 12 was wandering what cause could be. You need to spend time in the room to notice it.

Family friendly accommodation. We had the 2 bedroom family unit for 2 nights. Grandchildren enjoyed the park and seeing the animals onsite. We had a late check-in and check out and the staff were very accommodating. You will need a car as it’s quite far to the nearest shop but we had a comfortable stay.

We stayed in the new building which is away from the main road. However, for a new building there were a couple of minor flaws which were not game changing but surprising: loose toilet roll holder, a tub spout falling off the wall (screw loose, too), and most irritating, an alarm going off mid night asking you to evacuate the building just because of a power outage in the area… Overall this is a nice place to stay but the new building seems to be built in a rush…

Booked 7nts for my family of 5. We loved the look of the playground and that the room had aircon, but the positives end there. Photos on the listing show the twin beds alone, and then the sofa and living/kitchen area alone, does not show you that this is all squished into the same tiny space - what we got vs what we thought we were getting was very misleading. When we tried to speak to the manager about this he got defensive, and when we asked for another room, he denied this option, saying we would have to make a new booking and pay the full amount, rather than pay the difference. Due to this, we complained to Expedia; refund or reimbursement was denied. Manager cornered me in the laundry the next day and said we could have asked for another room which I said we already did before we complained, then he brushed over it saying that 3D rendering had been available of the room, which don't show on the phone app where I booked, so not sure if it's true. The place was grimey and did not feel clean. Cracked toilet seat and tub, sticky dining table even after trying to clean it myself, sheets were itchy, and dirty carpets that walking without shoes on made the soles of my feet black. After just 2nts into our booking, we vacated - ultimately a very expensive mistake. Not sure how this place got so many positive reviews, but I suggest that you spend your money wisely, and avoid this place at all costs. Their bookings are non-refundable for a reason!

Hideaway motel was a great family friendly and fun place to stay. Nicely set just out of Rotorua it was safe for our 3 year old to run around and the room itself was pretty nice. A small amount of maintenance would be good in the room but all up a great place to stay

The room very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. It had an awesome playground and the farm animals were a bonus. The wifi was awesome too. The single bed was super comfortable, just a little short for our tall girl.

The more you looked at the place over the 2 day stay we had the more you could see how unclean the room was mold on the windows and curtains, multiple cob webs, hand prints all over the wall, dirty walls and doors, bed sheets were horrible to sleep in, the bed felt damp. staff were not friendly at all and the drive way badly needs the deep pot holes filled will not recommend or stay again

We loved that it was a great family friendly spot. The playground is old but convenient and the animals are delightful. The room was comfortable and it was a good base while exploring Rotorua. Far enough away that there is no smell. Only downfall was it looked like the cleaners might have missed the bath tub. But well worth the stay and value for money.

We stayed a couple of nights at this motel. Where to begin: - They provided with only one soap, shampoo and body wash for 3 adults booked and staying. - They did not replenish them the next day. We had to use our own. - They replenished one Towel short the next day. We had to use our own. - When we asked them to provide the above utilities, they did not bother to even respond. - PLUS we found a Cockroach roaming in the room. Disgusting service and place. Avoid at all cost.
