Very clean... lovely view ... on seafront.

The property was so good
Loved the room and the bathroom was so good.
Well maintained and easy to check in, lots of parking spaces available near to the property.
Only issue was wifi, the speed was so bad and there was no network in that area.

Appartment was comfortable and furnished nicely. Could have supplied more shower gels and shampoo; otherwise excellent. Gate is a bit noisy as everybody leaves it slam; sometimes a bit noisy at night. Beautiful setting with sea views. Very convenient location for getting to Penarth harbour, Sully. Found a few nice restaurants including the Captain's Wife in Sully a 10 minute drive from here and Mint and Mustard in Penarth.

I loved the Nook. Loads of space. Plenty of toiletries and tea and coffee. There was a bus not far away which takes you to Cardiff and Barry. Good restaurants close by. Romeo’s was our favourite. Loved our stay.

The checking in was traumatic as there was no reception and we did not have instructions. Luckily there was a couple of lovely ladies who helped us
We had a gorgeous room with sea view. Which made us relax instantly

The room was very nice - no complaints at all on that score, and the location on Penarth beach is great.
The disappointment was that I thought I'd booked a "deluxe" room with sea view - the sole point of booking this facility - but that turned out not to be the case. We were located at the rear of the building, with no view of the sea at all.
I found the check-in procedure a bit frustrating. There is a two-step process. First, you have to complete a registration form, but I received nothing and had to contact the company. Then, when registration is complete, they are meant to send you check-in instructions straight away. Again, this did not happen and I had to go out of my way to ask. So, not ideal.
The room does not appear to have air-con, which was fine on a cool Friday evening, but would not have been if it had been warm.

It was absolutely beautiful. Right on the front and we had the hottest weather. Nice bar underneath where we sat and had a drink overlooking the sea and pier. Room was very hot though but we did have a big fan in the room. Nespresso machine was a big hit and the fridge with free water cooled. Absolutely loved our stay. Had a lovely chat with the cleaner. Lovely lady and very friendly.

Location was good but so called room is not sea view though this is big river view

Amazing location safely nestled above lovely restaurants and quick walk to a breakfast/coffee shop. The views were stunning as overlooking the water.
The only downside was lack of AC or cross breeze and it was a hot day while we were there.
Also, the cups in our room were dirty so did not use those items.

Beautiful room, stunning view and perfect location. One huge issue… the heat! The windows open approximately 2inches.. with no air con this made it unbearable to be in the room. A fan is provided in the room but when on you feel like you should have airline ground staff level ear defenders on.
Friends were staying in one of the courtyard rooms and their windows opened but had an open extra unit of safety glass. This provided air circulation and security. Unsure as to why not done in the front rooms.
With the heat of the room it would have been nice if more bottled water was provided.. am sure we are not the first to bring up this issue.

Easy check in, very clean, lovely large self contained room with stunning sea view, we have had a very relaxing stay thank you, we would definitely stay again.

Amazing rooms and location. Nice Italian restaurant and champagne bar underneath the rooms.

A little confusion at the start on which room I had. The video could be clearer.
It is unfortunate there is no air conditioning in the room, but I guess that is standard for the UK.
Amazing views and great access to restaurants below.
Room was clean, housekeeping was great and overall a good stay.

I never got to stay there because the property owner never gave check in instructions 24 hours prior even though he was supposed to. He never even picked up the phone or called back when i left him a message check in time. I was completely ignored for over a day past the time he was supposed to send instructions. Then later that night at 11pm he gives me check in instructions. Too late. Way too late. Our whole trip is ruined because of this. Now he doesnt even want to give a full refund even though its his fault for not sending us instructions! He broke the contract.
This is ridiculous and highly unproffessional.
0 stars. Do not stay. Avoid at all costs.

Our favourite place to stay when we go to Cardiff!

Staying for one night between Bluestone and home - and to visit Home, and this was the ideal location. We were very (pleasantly) surprised by the quality of the area, and the super accommodation. The view over the sea and Penarth pier makes it very special. The road is quite busy during the day, but the windows are effective at cutting out the noise. I suspect that parking would be very difficult during the summer, but we had no problem.

I was made welcome. I was visiting family in Penarth. I would certainly stay there again. Thank you Beachcliff.

Lovely room, beautiful view of the sea and pier… loved sleeping with the window open and hearing the waves crash. Communication was great and the room had everything you could need. Would absolutely stay here again.

Paid Expedia for the room then had to paid beachcliff again for the key code. I’m still waiting for a refund after paying twice. Will never use Expedia again.

Lovely clean room and excellent 2nd floor view. There is a lift that goes to the ground floor and accessable via the back of the Tapas Bar, otherwise you would have to drag heavy bags up one flight of stairs!

The whole experience staying at the Beachcliff Apartment was absolutely amazing! Great location with fabulous views and so clean and everything available in our Apartment to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Lots of extra space with all the home comforts which was incredible with such a beautiful view from every room! Thank you 😊

It sure why it’s called a hotel as all the usual aspects of a hotel were missing. ie staff! service. Good serviced room but you’re on your own to work things out! Luckily another guest told us how the key fob worked on the main gate. Room was spacious and comfortable, thought it strange no shower gel or soap (room was well equipped otherwise) but worked out later you collect this from the hallway. Good eco option but could have done with it being made clear this is how it worked. No breakfast option but not a problem as some lovely cafes along the road. We would return (super comfy bed) now we’ve got the hang of it!

Lovely large room overlooking the seafront . Spotlessly clean . No issues getting the key . A bit confusing to start with which way to go inside the building but it was fine. Pier just opposite for a nice stroll and cafe very good there

A glamorous hotel on the seafront with stunning views, great restaurants, coastal paths, shopping locally.

Great sized room, slightly disappointed I thought we were having a sea view room.
The bed was king sized and comfortable the bathroom was very clean and had great lighting to apply make up.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a short stay.

We did not get the sea view room that we paid a lot of money for we were stuck in the back of the hotel over looked by passing strangers on a walkway. The property said you were to blame but you said they were to blame so have requested to get our money back.

The hotel had a nice relaxed feel. The room was very comfortable and well stocked and the bathroom was excellent. We were in room 6 with nice views over Penarth pier. The restaurants and bars below did not disturb us at all as they closed by 11.
The room was on the warm side but that is our only criticism

It was an attractive, spacious, quiet, well-situated and well maintained property. Minor point, but it would have benefitted from some kind of table/shelf/flat surface in the bathroom to put one's washbag etc on.

..an excellent bolt hole for our trip on the Waverley..
..everything was clean and modern..

What a delightful place to stay! With a beautiful view of the water and the pier. The only downside for us: we stayed in early summer during a hot spell and the room was warm all day and through the night.

Self check in was easy and our room was great with views straight onto the sea. The sound of the sea lapping against the walls was lovely. It is a pity that there is no reception where someone is available should they be needed. We stayed here before when there was a reception and although we didn’t necessarily need anything it was nice to know that the building was manned. Security was ok but the front gate was constantly left open and the door through to the hotel was also open. I was a little concerned about being asked for a refundable deposit for a hotel stay as I’ve never had to do that before; we’re not in the habit of trashing our room. The curtain was coming off the rail so I reported this and was asked to provide a photo of it - I was concerned we would be charged for something we hadn’t done.
We met two of the ladies from housekeeping who were both very nice. A special mention to the Welsh lady, I’m only sorry that we didn’t get her name, she was very helpful.

This was our second stay at the amazing Beachcliff Hotel and Apartments and we have already booked another trip to stay in August. The views from the Beachcliff Hotel are stunning and truly breathtaking looking over the sea and Pier! The rooms are of a very high quality and standard with excellent amenities along the promenade and in the local area. The staff who work so very hard to maintain the lovely clean environment are so professional and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
Christina the Hotel manager and housekeeper on this stay was brilliant. Thank you.
I definitely recommend the hotel to anyone who needs a place to totally relax and take lots of walks and enjoy healthy food. Barry Island is just a quick bus ride away and Cardiff a short taxi ride or bus ride away to enjoy too. See you again soon.
