This cute townhome has historic charm and modern amenities. It features two bedrooms, one full bathroom, one half-bath, a fully equipped kitchen, private outdoor space, and plenty of room to comfortably spread out in the living and dining areas.
The living room, half-bath, kitchen, dining area and access to the private backyard are all on the main floor. The kitchen has a 3-door French refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, in addition to many tools and utensils for all your in-home meal preparations.
The dining area is open to the living area and kitchen so you can be a part of the action when eating, cooking, or lounging. Honest Abe raises his glass to this open set up with a cheer of “7 Drinks and 4 minutes Ago!”
The living room is set up for conversation or to relax with a little tv time. One wall is dedicated to the “nice knockers” found on doors right here in Old Town, while George adorns the area above a perfect reading spot.
The mural behind the couch pays tribute to the full-size version found in an alley by South Block off N. Lee Street. Swing by to capture a selfie or a family photo to commemorate your vacation to this colorful historic area.
Below the TV is a modern version of a traditional fire stove. Much easier to start than the ones in the early 1900s but still provides heat or just nice ambiance. The couch can transform into a queen-size bed for additional sleeping space if needed.
Upstairs you will find the two bedrooms, a fully remolded full-size bathroom with a walk-in shower and rain shower head, and a large new washer and dryer set. Both bedrooms have Queen-sized beds with hypoallergenic down alternative comforters and pillows, as well as room-darkening curtains.
The main bedroom offers plenty of space to unpack your clothes in the closet and/or dresser, a comfy chair, and a full-length mirror. The second bedroom has a space-saving barn door, a dresser inside the closet, and a small desk/vanity table perfect to hold a laptop or do your makeup.
The large mural above the bed is a photograph of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge as seen from Jones Point Park. Visit the park via the Mount Vernon Trail to see the lighthouse and original historic land boundary markers, featured in the framed tryptic on the shelf above the desk, or take the pedestrian walkway to the top of the bridge for amazing views of Old Town harbor and DC. Cross the bridge into Maryland and explore the National Harbor or MGM Grand Casino.

The house was very clean and well stocked with necessities and things like Keurig coffee. The area seems very safe, not too noisy, and well maintained. I loved the patio and so did my dogs. I'd absolutely come back here !

We had a great time at the Urban Pineapple. Location was excellent and we really enjoyed Old Town. Our flight arrived earlier than we expected and we were even able to check in slightly earlier. Such a wonderful host and experience for us!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Urban Pineapple. We enjoyed the decor and the space was perfect for us. The location is ideal for exploring Old Town Alexandria and DC. With access to the bus line, the Metro, Trader Joe’s and many other interests like King St. being within walking distance we didn’t even use or car during our trip which was a welcome surprise. The beds were so comfy and the townhome was well maintained and very clean. Check-In, check-out, and communication with the host were easy and hassle free. The Urban Pineapple will definitely be our first choice for future trips to DC and surrounding areas.

We stayed at the Urban Pineapple for 2 1/2months and it was perfect for us. I loved walking around Old Town and the property was just what we needed. If only it hadn't been winter that back patio would have been amazing to eat and work from!
Shanda made everything easy--great communication and very accomodating.

What a lovely home! My sister and I stayed at the Urban Pineapple as our "home base" for a long weekend in Washington, DC.
We met at Mount Vernon and after a long day touring, we were happy it was an easy 20-minute drive to the house.
The house is in a great location - there are several cute restaurants and a "Trader Joe's" (gricery store) within walking distance. The Old Town Alexandria Metro station is a short (3-5 min) drive away (if you are ambitious, you could walk it).
The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is VERY well equipped including basic spices and a Keurig with k-cups, cream and sugar provided.
The house is spotless and the owner is responsive and helpful. I highly recommend The Urban Pineapple and if my travels ever take me back to Alexandria, this property will be at the top of my list!!

My family had a great 4-night stay at the Urban Pineapple. It's close enough to walk to the restaurants and shopping on King Street in one direction, and to the Metro station and a ride into DC in the other direction. We spent 4 days going all over without renting a car, and the Urban Pineapple was a comfortable place to come back to every night with our sore feet. We loved it!
