A very spacious farmhouse with comfy beds and nicely decorated, and everything was very clean. We only needed to stay one night but we were very comfortable and would definitely return.
It would be handy to have some pizza trays for the oven - I suspect they would be well used.

good kitchen equipment
We booked "The Cottage" and already at our arrival we were quite disappointed because nothing looked like the pictures or videos promised. There is a big construction site directly next to the farm. The cottage may has been planned as "shabby chic" but that did not work out. Broken garden chairs, non working window. The master bedroom is a very small cabin which smells from gas because the outside heating is attached directly behind the wall and the controll instruments are inside the bedroom. Whenever the heating starts you will wake up. Everything in the house seems to be made by non professionals. Eventhough we came for the nature and the landscape we sometimes had to use the WiFi. If you're lucky you'll reach a max. of 3 MBit. All in all I would recommend another place to stay for this amoint of money.

The kitchen was equipped to cook any type of meal. The view was excellent. Having a washing machine was wonderful to have. The shower had great pressure and hot water. Having 1.5 baths was a plus.
The windows don't have screens, and with summer insects, we were unable to open the windows. There weren't any fans, so the warmer temperature and closed windows made for a long, hot night of sleeping. Wish I'd prepared for the distance to a market and had stopped before checking in.

The best and most beautiful villa in SKYE
It consists of two floors, and the ground floor has a large hall and kitchen
The first floor has three bedrooms and two bathrooms
There are all bathroom and kitchen supplies
There is a balcony, outdoor seating, and heating in the house
There is a billiards table and table tennis for entertainment and WiFi
The view outside is very beautiful and I will book again.
فقط كانت هناك مشكلة بالتدفئة عند النوم تكون دافئة
وعند النهوض صباحاً تكون مغلقة اوتوماتيكيا لا اعرف السبب وكل شيء آخر جميل جداً.
There was only a problem with the heating when it was warm to sleep
When I wake up in the morning, it is automatically closed. I do not know why, and everything else is very beautiful.

Cute little house! Quirky and cosy!
The mattress is very uncomfortable! The bathroom upstairs doesnt match the rest of the house either.
4.4
Lots of room, great kitchen facilities
The downstairs floor could have done with a mop. - it felt a bit sticky underfoot
4.4
Location, view, kitchen & dining room layout, & hiking trails.

The cottage was clean from the inside. Good facilities and activities (game boards).
It was also spacious
it was weird that the outside was dirty. There was an eaten apple and water bottle in the outside patio table. The main entrance had a used coffee cup at the door. How could their cleanliness be so bad ?
Bed springs were worn out
Location not ideal as all attractions on the Isle of Skye were 1+hrs drive away

it was nice.
not a great position and very expensive.

Lovely location, beautiful cottage and fun games

Wonderful place just wish we could have stayed there longer! Great kitchen and everything you need was provided. Two floors, comfy beds, 2 bathrooms, large living room, pool table all made for a comfy and fun place where we could all be together. Thanks to our host for making it all so easy, hope to come back soon!
The midges that come with the beauty of Scotland are not the hosts fault - thanks for the signs warning about not opening the windows saved us from making that mistake. Bring your bug spray for outdoor hiking etc.

Beautiful, quaint, cozy (not cramped).

Wow, this place was amazing. Perfect for our family with a nice living room area and lounge chair to hang out in, a huge kitchen to make food, and a fun pool table to enjoy. The rooms were nice and comfortable and it made our Isle of Skye trip feel like we had a wonderful place to come back to each day.
I couldn’t get the lockbox to lock on the way out, probably user error, but still, I was eaten alive by midges as I tried to.

Loved the location, easy in/out. Plenty of space. Great decor and gorgeous views. Everything we needed in the kitchen and super comfy beds.
We would have loved a heads up that no windows can be opened during midge season- house got really hot with no airflow. It's part of being on Isle of Skye in June, but a fan of some kind indoors would be lovely!

This place was perfect for our family.

Location was fantastic for views and very quiet with a lovely fireplace
Not within walkable distance to many cafes or restaurants

Lovely warm and cosy farmhouse with plenty of room for the 4 of us.
Comfy beds, great layout, warm, clean and beautifully decorated too.
Wish it had a tumble drier, we visited in February with 2 small boys and could have done with drying clothes easily. Although it did have a clothes airer, it would have been ALOT easier with a tumble drier.

Wonderful farmhouse atmosphere - log fires, comfortable beds, and peaceful.
All necessary amenities provided.
Dog friendly.

Fantastic independent accomodation with very pleasant welcome by the landowner. Cheery on the cake was the stunning beauty in the surroundings.

Such a lovely cottage. The views from the windows are very cute. Well decorated and homely - with that perfect mix between modern stylish and traditional scottish touches. Kitchen was well equipped. Rooms and beds were perfect. Pool table and games to entertain the family.
Renata the host was very welcoming and so helpful. We were useless at putting the heating on and she was very responsive to come and help us out. I didn't want to leave and would go back without hesitation.

Great location, amazing stay and really worth the money you pay for.
Nothing to add.

Renatta the host was wonderful. The location was secluded and quiet with a wonderful view of the loch on a farm. The cottage was very cozy with fireplace and all necessary appliances. Rooms were small, but the beds were very comfortable. I can't express how wonderful Renatta was. She lives on the property and readily available to answer any questions or attend to any needs we had, such as linens and such when we needed it. She was truly a delight and I highly recommend a stay here.
The only real issue was the room size for the room with the double bed. The room with the two twins was very nice.

We booked old farm Kyle on our way to Skye without seeing it. They had a cancellation so we got lucky as everything was sold out. Because the cottage was far cheaper than most in the area I was expecting the accommodations to be less than adequate. We were very pleasantly surprised when we walked into an immaculate well furnished little piece of heaven. We stayed two nights and used it as our base to explore this stunning island.
It has a fully modern functioning kitchen, (with beautiful views) just bring your own food if you feel like cooking. Otherwise good restaurants in town. My top priorities are always cleanliness and comfort. For this I give it a 5 out of 5 star. The beds just swallow you in comfort. So much so that my husband and I have decided we need a new bed when we get back to Canada. Lol
We highly recommend anyone considering this little oasis to book if you are lucky enough to find a vacancy. The owner and operator Renata is lovely and super accommodating. Just loved our stay! 5🌟
Honestly can't think of a negative. Our only regret is we couldn't stay longer.

Literally everything, we loved everything about our staying at Old Kyle Farm, specially Renata, the host, she been more than happy to welcome us to check in at the late night hoursto make sure we arrive safely and we got everything needed.
The facility exceeded our expectations, you will have everything in the property to have the perfect staying, it was VERY clean and cosy, the kitchen is equipped with anything you would need, and the view is unbelievable, it felt like home for us and so we extended our staying because all mentioned.
My wife and I stayed in Skye in several properties, and definitely Renata's Old Kyle Farm is our best recommendation to stay and explore Skye & Portree areas, i would say make sure to plan your trip to stay there its a very unique experience, if you're renting a car, you get a plenty of parking space (private and free 😀)
Make sure to learn how to set up a fireplace, because at Old Kyle Farm you'll get the cosiest fire place in the living room which will level up your stay.
The hosts is very experienced with the tourism industry and will answer any of your questions while you're in Scotland.
Thank you Renata for making our vacation even more beautiful 🙏🏼🤍
