Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great value.
Common areas need a little cleaning and touch up, especially around the elevators.

Very friendly staff and great breakfast choices.

Excellent motel. The breakfast had many hot and cold options. The pool was great. There were lots of restaurants nearby. While the motel was generally very clean, I had a few issues with housekeeping. I was there four days but a housekeeper tried to get in ony second day even though I had the do not disturb sign on. She said the computer said I was checking out. The desk said they didn't have that. When I was leaving, carrying bags, they and their carts kept being in my way, and a pizza box was left outside a door the whole time I was there.

The room was to be expected and comfortable enough. Great value. The only downside was the location of our room being right at the end of a hallway next to an exit door and people were literally in and out all day and night so it was very loud. The door keep slamming shut so it was hard to get a good night sleep. The staff was very nice though.

I was a late arrival. The clerk was kind & attentive. She made check in fast & easy. I found the room welcoming & clean. The bed was very comfortable & the shower was good! I'd come back again

I had a great stay, sure the hotel is a little dated and could be a little cleaner, but for someone travelling alone and without a car,I liked the area.It was safe and walkable. Breakfast was good and the room had a comfy bed and plenty of space.

The stay at La Quinta was good up until I left. It was a decent hotel for the price, staff was friendly, and the breakfast options were adequate.
I was in town to visit an ill family member, so I was only at the hotel long enough to sleep each night and take a shower. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it did okay. The shower curtain wasn't big enough for the shower, so there was always water on the bathroom floor to be cleaned up after my showers.
I was perfectly fine with my stay until I reviewed my bank account a couple of days after check out and saw a $250 charge in addition to the room fee. When I called to inquire, the person at the front desk advised it was a smoking fee. I absolutely *did not* smoke in the room. I left my name and number for the manager so I could at least find out what gave them the impression that I did, and hopefully resolve the issue as that is a lot of money. I did not get a call back.
I called again on another day, asking for an email address instead. The front desk person said, "Uhh...let me put you on hold," and then came back a few moments later stating they would just have to take my name and number again, they wouldn't give me an email address. So I left my name and number again, and still got no call back.
I probably would have recommended this hotel until the extra charge for something I definitely did not do.

The room was a handicap-accessible room. It seemed clean but drab (stained carpet, blinds need to be replaced, some peeling wallpaper). The bed was hard, mattress needs to be replaced. Breakfast was pretty good (cheesy scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, sausage patties). The room we stayed in was on the first floor adjacent to the ice machine, which was handy, except at 5:30 a.m. when someone came and filled a LARGE ice tray, bucket by bucket, to keep the bowls of fruit that was served at breakfast chilled. The filling of the ice tray was very noisy and went on for 15 minutes or so. I do realize, however, that the person was just trying to do their job.

We are quite unhappy. Here are my notes about our stay:
La Quinta
Friday
Checked in and found out hot tub is not working
142 smoke filled room
Saturday AM. Woke up congested and miserable from smoke. Told front desk room smelled of smoke. They moved us. We got unpacked and the desk called about not putting us in that room since it smelled so bad. True!
136 dead animal
We moved again and unpacked. Desk called and came up to tell us we couldn’t be in that room.
236 smelled good-front desk asked us to move
238 funny smell but tired of moving
Then after being out all day and leaving to window open, I went to put coffee in the fridge only to find it unplugged. Plugged it in, and it started making loud noises. Called. No real solutions.
Finally went and got some garbage bags for ice for the night. Can’t keep items cold. My insulin needs a fridge, so we stuck it out.
Troy went downstairs to discuss with desk and get bags for ice and the fridge made loud noise at 10:15, 10:36, 10:42, 10:51, 10:57, 11:05. I only documented for one hour. We slept here-sort of. Couldn’t sleep. I even recorded the noise because it was so startling and kept us up all night.
Sunday
Told front desk we’d be gone for several hours at 10:30. Left and returned at 3:30. Fridge still makes the same noise.
They finally replaced the fridge that evening. We left Tuesday. Not what we hoped for since we were there since Friday.

Mold issues in the bathroom of our first room. Staff moved us to a different room and it was the same story. Ultimately they moved us to a much nicer room that had no mold, but my daughter was very grossed out by the situation. We cut our trip short by a day because of this. Again, staff was great and accommodating, but the mold was a major problem.

Pool and jacuzzi were out of service.was not informed ahead of stay. Main reason I booked with them.
Shower pressure was horrible. Tired hotel

We found the property very easily and the staff are commendable in their efforts. The pool closure was a surprise but ‘it’ happens.

the hot tub was out of order. the 24 hour pool and hot tub availabilty was the sole reason for my visit. $200 non refundable. wouldn't have booked if i had known that all amenities were not available.

It was a great experience, room had a strange smell.

This is a decent property and well located in Boise. The room is decent and spacious. Bathroom toilet had to be fixed by me when it would not flush. The shower had little pressure but could be described as just ok. The parking lot had considerable litter throughout. The continental breakfast is mediocre - waffle machine, some kind of scrambled eggs with cheese and ham which suffered mightely in the heating service pan. There was cereal, some canned fruit and some fresh fruit as well. I have seen worse but, as a point of hard fact, have seen much better in hotels of comparable quality. We would stay here again but it is what it is.

Was there for work oust happy to have a nice bed but I forget to mention that I hate down pillows because my eyes swell up. So that was my fault not saying anything

Everything was okay

The property smelled like cigarette smoke. Our room floor wasn't very clean and i have a crawling baby. This is a pet friendly hotel, they allow pets on every floor which is quite dumb. My daughter is allergic to dogs, there was no way to have a room that hadn't had animals in it.

Could have been cleaner, and the hot pool was out for a night, they were trying to get it fixed but it took to long, the pool was nice, the room was a decent size and beds were comfortable. The grounds were pretty and very close to the mall for shopping, it was a very jice stay !

Our stay was great! Best part is pool area is open 24/7
4.0 / 10.0
What I liked about it is that it was close to everything around it. What I didn’t like is that. There wasnt any bags to pick up after our dogs good thing we brought our own. The breakfast was terrible and the swimming pool was also terrible. Even guests that stayed there made comments about it.

Great property, friendly staff, nice room & king bad. Breakfast was nice as well as the lobby, gym and indoor pool.
Big parking lot on premises with easy free parking, Surrounding area has lots to offer with shopping and dining.

It was good and quiet. When I checked in on Aug 16th the lady checked me in she was rude and plus she didn’t tell me where to go for my room and she didn’t give me the WIF for the Hotel. I’m still waiting for my receipt

Needs a little work, it was quite but it had some updates that could easily be done to make it great

Great stay and value for the price. No issues.

I liked the balanced amount of sun to shade areas and able to sit under the trees during the day, and outside on the patio in the evening to read a book.
The gym was OK. Two main pieces of equipment were broken and after talking to the maintenance person, sounds like they have been broken for a while. would be nice to have equipment in working condition.
Breakfast was good and lots of options to choose from.

Only tiny whine is that the parking lot close to the hotel can fill up and you have to park a bit out and the parking lot is dark.

Breakfast is below average. Old hotel so it is not that clean and has typical old building odor.
