We stay here every time we come to Memphis. They had a tough Friday evening checking people in after a visiting football team would not check out on time. The hotel staff did everything they could and the young man behind the desk was exemplary in the face of some angry customers. Was not the staffs fault. These hotel is excellent.

We arrived at 3 and didn't get checked in till AFTER 5. I understand a late check in because of the team but TWO hours is crazy!! The manager Michael was not helpful at all and did nothing as far as discount or even acknowledgement. To pay almost $200 for one night this experience was definitely not worth it!!

Older hotel. Sections of the lobby area were closed due to water coming in from rain. Walls in the room had dust on them. Can tell they haven’t wiped down the walls in a long time.

This Holiday Inn serves as part of the hospitality department at University of Memphis. The service was impeccable. I met many kind and professional staff. The building is on the older side, but everything was very clean and the bed was well made. I was able to sleep for nine hours (really needed that)! Would highly recommend. A bargain for the cost!

Parking was plentiful and secure. The staff were nice and helpful. The breakfast was very good. the beds were comfortable. My coffee maker did not work. A slumming problem could not be resolved until the next morning.

We along with multiple others vehicles were broken into in the middle of the night. The manager of the hotel, Michael, was extremely helpful after the breakins and helped with the cleanup. He is amazing!

Hotel was dated but had a lot of character. Couch and chairs could use a deep cleaning. Bed and bathroom were clean. Hotel staff were nice. There also was security patrolling the parking lot and it seemed to be in a decent location. There was an issue with the room and we were refunded for the second night of a 2 night stay. Definitely need to do some fumigation.

Overall wasnt bad, their vending machines were out of order and their little snack area to purchase drinks and snacks had no drinks so had to drive to a store to have something to drink. Even though i put 6 people (4 of them being kids) and so obviously we would be using the pullout sofa bed there was no bedding for it and the phone did not work in the room to call and ask for more bedding for it so had to go to the front desk to get it and got charged extra for it. It was extremely hot in the lobby and everywhere else inside the building but thankfully the room was not hot, also notice what could be mold in the shower. The shower curtain also doesn't keep from water going all on the floor. The staff was nice though and good for a one night stay for a family of 6 traveling.

This property was perfect for us. The room was terrific and had everything we need. The staff was excellent and helpful in every way. Next time I go to Memphis I will stay there again and it’s pet friendly!

Front desk and food service staff excellent for small conference. Housekeeping could use some improvement in terms of attentiveness. Room was sufficiently clean on arrival but little things like neglecting to resupply and only intermittently cleaning surfaces wasn’t ideal. Front desk staff in particular deserves a shout out for being awesome. Despite the age of the property it is very reasonably priced and just right for those who want practical and easy without bells and whistles. Food quality okay, not great, except for higher-end banquet service in which case the food was quite good. Other than that if you’re a vegetarian or vegan you’re going to have a very hard time at this property. Special thanks to Michael for being so accommodating and making the best of any situation!

Disappointed that their was no pool. Was not told of the amenities for. 2 days. I yhought the rate was pretty high so I assumed that breakfast would be included. It wasn’t and the buffet was not very good. We were there for 4 nights and over a weekend when the rates were increased approx 40%, even though u of m school was out for the summer and the occupancy rate was very low

It was convenient to the location I was out. But the price I was quoted by Expedia was not honored by the hotel even though they’re 800 system had the reservation number they did not have the reservation number so they charge me additional $67.04 from the price I was quoted by Expedia still trying to get this worked out seven days later. Have not heard from the hotel or Expedia.

We had a very nice stay, the staff was extremely polite and helpful. The only thing was that the rooms were very outdated. The coffee machine didn't work, the shower curtain wouldn't close and the shower flooded the floor, and the bathroom door needed to be propped open with the trash can. Other than that, it was fine to stay there, I slept pretty well
