Lovely hotel, great food in the restaurant, room nice but reserved a double with extra bed, was given a twin with extra bed not made up on arrival, extra bed was like sleeping on concrete so uncomfortable.

The hotel is smart and the staff very friendly and welcoming. It's location is brilliant and my room on the 4th floor was lovely, as I was given a sea view.
Even though I will definitely stay here again, the pillows (all four) were very lumpy. I hope the hotel will invest in some new pillows before my next stay as I found it difficult to sleep on them. Putting this aside, my stay was great value for money, the hotel new and clean, my room warm and nicely decorated with a good shower and I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit selection at breakfast.

One night stay. Easy parking. Booking in quick and easy. Meal in the restaurant was ok for what we wanted.

Gorgeous hotel with great location. The bar serves amazing cocktails. Awesome for an early morning Le shuttle departure

Great place to stay. The heating wasn’t working but we received a electric heater which did the job.

Took a very long time to check in - around 30 mins. Unable to provide invoice as printer not working. Room was cold, although did eventually get a heater. Room was very clean, bed comfortable. Good location. Limited on street parking.

Massive rooms with everything you could need. Great service and great bar with 2 for 1 cocktails. Breakfast was exactly what was needed. There was a good choice of food. I would definitely recommend staying here.

wifi signal too weak to make connection in 3rd floor room

The liftvwas broken which was annoying as we had a lot of stairs to climb witb cases and no help was offered.
The ensuite was tiny, however the room was lovely

The stay was marred by the absence of a working lift which for octogenarians ruined the stay, and led to cancellation after 3 nights. Otherwise the hotel was reasonably good and the staff most helpful. The food was good although the evening menu was short and unchanging

Lovely hotel. Great views on the sea. The breakfast was great. The bar good and cocktails fabulous! Would recommend to stay. We have been twice now and will always use this hotel when visiting Folkestone.

Excellent staff with stand out service by Ben. He was very helpful, kind and went out of his way to assist me when I arrived in Folkestone from London completely stressed out and exhausted. I was there a few days recovering and he continued to be super helpful with taxis, directions, information and even reminded me when it was time to leave breakfast for the train to the airport. I remain grateful for his assistance. Plus the coffee was good and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was quiet and the view was fantastic. The proximity to the downtown was just perfect for me.

The rooms very very warm and the pillows were not good at all. Otherwise it is a nice hotel and good location and bar/restaurant.

Very good location and ideal for a stay before using ale Tunnel the next day

The dog friendly apartment is in the basement and is a bit musty. The hotel reached out about parking but it was very confusing.

The location was excellent but the property is looking a but tired

Walls like paper so felt I was with the family with kids in the room next to me. Pillows so lumpy that it was nearly impossible to sleep. Room didn’t feel clean. Not impressed. Won’t be back.

The View used to be the best hotel in Folkestone, shortly after it was renovated. It has categorically lost its crown, due largely to complacency. We had a ground floor room (No 100) that was unbearably hot with no ventilation. The sash windows were sealed at the top but clearly not done by a professional and where the seals were pealing in places. The lower sashes opened on two windows .. directly at ground level and very easily accessible from the street, which is clearly a security risk. One sash did have a security bolt to prevent the it from being opened more than 8 inches but only on one side, but both bolts were missing on the other sash, leaving only screw holes where the bolts used to be. We slept with the secured window open only to be greeted by an industrial strength kitchen extractor firing up first thing in the morning sending fryer smoke directly into our room. The smell of burnt bacon was disgusting impregnating all of our clothes. Then there’s the shower that had an opening just wide enough for a super slim athlete or skinny teenager but not for someone like me of more generous proportions - I had to step in full sideways and squeeze through the gap scraping my back and front on the door edges. Finally, we paid £25 for a dog. But they did not bother to put even a water bowl in the room. We asked why not and was told that they were not enough bowls but they were available if we asked - buy more more bowls! The competition is hotting up. Pay attention!

Great hotel - modern, clean with excellent sea views. Parking permit worked fine - didn’t struggle for a space on bank holiday weekend. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel with great staff, clean rooms and legal cocktails 😁🍸🍹
Down on the seafront and perfect for Folkestone and local villages. Also only 30mins to Dover and 45 to Deal.
I hope to get back here during the summer months to sit on the hotel porch and drink a potent cocktail while watching the sun set.

We had a fabulous stay at The View in Folkestone. Fantastic location, we made good use of the access to town and the seafront. Our lovely, quiet, seaview suite had been set up for us, the children each had their own bed. The room was immaculate, and we enjoyed the fresh espressos in the morning. Nice to have fresh robes and slippers, too. The staff, particularly, Phillipa on the front desk, were friendly and very accommodating. Excellent value room, and a superb breakfast in the sunlit, garden facing restaurant. We'd definitely go back to The View.

We only stayed for one night but we'd definitely stay again. Our room was a great size, bed was very comfy and the shower was good. We even had a lovely view of the gardens and the sea beyond! The staff we saw were very nice. I think it was a bit of a bargain!

The ensuite room was attractive, spacious and clean but it was too warm for me. I could not open the window so I did not sleep well.

We were in 209, the room was fantastic, although with how big it was it could have done with a sofa or a mini bar as it seemed like there was a lot of wasted space. Was great to see the twinkling lights of boulogne.
Bed was comfortable, bathroom is massive, and top quality.
The dinner was good and well presented, all staff were extremely professional. Breakfast was superb. All in all, would love to stay again.

Very comfortable stay. Second visit didn't disappoint.
Would be happen to return in the future.
