Stayed her with my daughter. The inside of the hotel was fine and the staff were lovely. The hotel was cheap and within walking distance of most stuff.
The outside and the surrounding area is sketchy. The taxi driver spent the entire time during the drive the cruise port to the hotel trying convince us to change our reservation to a different area of Athens. The front desk was quick to tell us to stick to the main streets. The area is run down. The first two days we had no issues but the 3rd night we came back after dark and rounded the corner and walked into the middle a drug deal and another guy about to shoot up. There was a lot of yelling during the night. When we left there in morning there was a group of questionable people sleeping outside the hotel.
No one seem to bother you. But the area makes you be on guard the whole time.

Lovely people at the hotel but in a sketchy neighborhood

Easy to get places as on the subway line and some nice food in the area. Staff were all very helpful and lovely. There are a couple of druggies outside but they don’t bother anyone so really not a big deal. We did a lot of walking around at night and were never bothered by anyone. My biggest issue was the bathroom, handheld shower, no door to the shower so the bathroom was at risk of flooding especially bc the shower did not drain wel. Bathroom door also got stuck when closed so we had to just not shut it the whole time. The walls are also paper thin, could clearly hear phone calls and conversations from rooms over.

It was perfect for the price and also wanting to be close to the city centre. I would definitely recommend it

The room is exactly what you pay for clean sheets, comfy bed, fridge air con etc. Unfortunately the shower was a tight squeeze and there was some mould in the corners. The temperature and pressure of the shower were fine though. The receptionist was informative although ignored us for what appeared to be already checked in male customers when we were trying to check in.The website here claims there is tea/coffee available but when asked we were directed to a coffee shop elsewhere. There is also a claim that room service available but again no mention of this when we checked in. The room was not as soundproofed as indicated and there was a lot of loud music particularly for a tuesday evening. It was unclear of this was from other guests or an outside source however. Would not recommend for a long stay particularly due to the presence of what appeared to be drug taking individuals

Great location close to the main metro. Friendly and helpful staff!

Outstanding property, just keep in mind that the streets are narrow and hard to pass with big luggage

Horrific stay. Cleaners stole cash and jewellery and other items from my room. When we complained the hotel denied responsibility. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The hotel is not in the best location. The streets around it are not clean and there are drug addicts in the area (and many other areas in Athens).
With that being said, the staff was very friendly and helpful with anything I needed.

Room was really tiny did us for the few nights but wouldnt stay there again. The adjacent street was a dive

Hotel full of noisy Arabs, so could not get to sleep. They had parties on the balcony every night with ghetto blasters blaring Arab music. Corridors were full of Arabs shouting all the time and the elevator was very noisy. Good hotel if you are deaf. Hotel staff were as much use as a wet paper bag. Balcony was dirty. TV did not work. toilet was dangerous as shower had no door so floor was soaking and the w.c. worked sometimes. Air con was very noisy. A bad hotel, only for Arabs

While the room was relatively clean and the staff were nice enough, this hotel is located in a very rough part of the city. Every taxi driver we had in Athens told us not to walk around there at night as it was “a very dangerous area”. Subsequently you had to pay €20 from the centre of town each night to get back to the hotel ( even though it is only 1.5km ). The hotel is also very noisy with staff and other guests yelling at all hrs of the day / night. There were also always a large group of people hanging about at the front of the hotel that constantly were going in and out of it. It just had a very uncomfortable vibe to it all. Athens was lovely but do not stay in this area, spend the extra money and stay up town.

This hotel was clean with very friendly helpful staff. The receptionist is a lovely lady who answered all questions professionally and in a friendly manner. The outlook of our room left a bit to be desired - overlooking the backs of buildings and a car park Howe er we were only there to sleep not to spend time in the room.

Reception staff was friendly and aproachable and hotel is fairly easy to get to with public transport. Yet it is in the city and some sounds of city do come through the windows. Not in the best area but easy walk to everywhere. Fair deal for their prices.

Upon arrival we were given a dirty, small, substandard room the window of which opened to an areaway filled with garbage. The next morning we could change it for a better one, but the bathroom was equally and uncomfortably small.
The breakfast is clearly not worth the price: we only had it once then went to a nearby café. We tried to get a refund for the breakfasts we did not take but could not.

This hotel featured pictures that were clearly NOT the hotel. We could barely squeeze in the room and the shower was broken. There was also a horrible smell and we had to keep the windows open in the rain just to barely be able to function. It was also in a VERY rough area and we stayed inside until our taxi arrived and didn't feel safe walking down the street even in the daytime. We have this room booked for our last night in Greece as well and the site says that we cannot cancel the reservation but we cannot stay here another night so we are booking another room!!!!

When the taxi driver dropped me he was really surprise I had booked here. He said very bad area, you be very careful... that says it all. I do not recommend this hotel to any foreigners in Greece.

I loved the location because it was easy to jump on the metro and go anywhere. It looked nice but it seemed as if the floors weren't cleaned on a regular basis. Also there seemed to be something going on with the ceiling in the bathroom (mold?) Other than that I was very comfortable.
The great thing is that the staff was friendly and spoke English. A few went out of there way to make sure that I was taken care of. The WIFI was great which I wish I could say for some four star hotels I've stayed in. They also offered for me to stay at their partner hotel if I didn't feel comfortable in the neighborhood since I was a lady travelling alone. The neighborhood wasn't that bad. I suppose most people would think it was bad because it isn't as pristine as the rest of the city and there are many immigrants in the area. A lady at the hotel had a her purse stolen. I made sure I had my purse/backpack securely in my grip and was aware of my surroundings at all times as I would in any city. She had her purse stolen the first day. I stayed there almost 3 weeks without any problems.
If I needed an inexpensive place in Athens I would stay there again.

If I ever go back to Athens and Im short on budget I would stay here again. Good hotel for the price. Clean, ok size room (good for Europe standards). Service was OK, (I didn't expect much and I didn't ask much). They barely speak english at the front desk. Kind of close to the touristic areas (15 min walk to Acropolis). The only bad thing is the neighborhood. Drug addicts walking, sleeping, screaming around the area (you cant hear them from the rooms) Just call a taxi and you wont even notice.
If you are a delicate person and like luxury and don't want to see certain things while you travel, avoid this hotel.
If you are on a low budget and can look the other way while passing by the drug addicts, this is a good place.
Have a nice trip and Paracaló

This hotel was nice inside and close to the city center but the surrounding neighborhood was extremely bad, we were a group of 4 (3 guys, 1 girl) and we felt very unsafe walking back to the hotel after dark.

the hotel is in a drug dealers' area. loads of junkies!! no matter during days or nights. it's very scary even for a man like myself. I saw one of them making injections in the middle of a very busy square nearby. going to hotel after dark is like entering a war zone. even the hotel reception locked the hotel front door to avoid dangers. nothing happened to us but if you like scary movies, nothing can beat this.
about hotel maintenance, my room's main light bulb was not working when arrived. toilet flush was broken which caused flushing water overflown in toilet/bathroom. in the second night, the flush is still not working perfectly. I had to manually open the flush tank to stop water running and overflowing.

The staff was friendly and the hotel was a great value that is a walking distance to all the major Athenian sites.

While listed as a budget hotel this was one of the best experiences for the price I have had when travelling. The hotel was recently remodeled. The staff was friendly and helpoful. Although the surrounding area may be considered a "seedy" neighborhood I felt safe at all times and actually thought it to be a bit eclectic with its variety of people. The metro is close and you can basically get anywhere. For the money you can't beat this place.
0.5 / 10.0
If you are a solo female traveler, recovering drug addict or traveling with a family, do not stay in this hotel, or for that matter this neighborhood.
Although the hotel was okay with clean looking sheets, clean bathroom, stained carpets, stained blankets, the street outside was a popular place for drug users to get their fix.
For the four days and two nights spent in this hotel, we observed very graphic, prominate drug usage in the middle of the day and many shady characters wandered in and out of the hotel day and night.
Our experience of Athens was ruined by the experience of staying in this hotel. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel, and the Omonia Square area near the metaxourgio station.

The AC worked poorly, elevator broke, but had a large private balcony and had a clean bathroom.

I was only in Athens for 1 night and leaving at 5am the next morning. The hotel was clean and fairly easy to get the airport bus station the next morning.
