Fantastic stop over. The hotel is warm, charming and classic old money style. Loved it. Don't change a thing.
I'll be back each time I visit Anglesey. A great discovery

We arrive a bit early, 1415 hours to be exact. When we went into the front desk area we were told that we were a bit early for check in. I didn’t mind that as I knew. We were early, but I did not feel welcomed. That being said, every other staff member we spoke to was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed speaking to the staff during breakfast and supper.
I thought I had booked a room into the main Chateau however I was given a room in the lodge. I probably made the error when I booked the room. Our room had a great view. The bed was a bit too soft for me but the room was fine otherwise.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, and again the staff made for a pleasant stay.

Great property -would have liked to know that a shower didn’t mean a shower but a bathtub or I would have requested one as I have a bad hip
Otherwise wonderful stay and staff

Fabulous hotel located in a wonderful/beautiful location, in a picturesque part of Wales. Both evening meal and breakfast were of a very high standard and the staff very friendly. We stayed in the lodge and whilst high standard an issue on our second night prevents 5 stars.

We thought we'd booked to stay in the chateau, but we told that we would be staying in the lodge and it was my birthday treat (also it wasn't what we'd booked for). We were so disappointed, we will not be staying there again. It was a complete let down!!

We had a great time at Chateaux Rhianfa, we stayed for a week in the hotel. Peter and Seren were friendly and attentive at breakfast, Claire and the other ladies great on reception. Claire helped us to upgrade from a lodge room to a hotel room.on arrival at an additional cost. The location is perfect and we never tired of the Menai Strait views. The lounges are very comfy and furnished just like a stately home, wonderful, again with the stunning view.
We only ate once in the hotel restaurant as only a 3 course meal was an option at a set price, thus would have been very expensive to do every day for a week, also the menu was the same five options for each course for the week. We would definitely revisit.

Excellent location to stay at with very friendly staff. We had a nice view from the room and enjoyed both the breakfast and the dinner.

We booked a stay for our 20th wedding anniversary from the 1st to the 5th of July 2024. To us, all advertising inferred we were staying in the Chateau but in fact we were put in an apartment block down the road. Have a look for yourself, but the outside pictures only show the Chateau. There were no pictures of the outside of the apartment block. On arrival I immediately made hotels.com aware who said they would speak to the hotel and come back to me within 3 hours, however we didn’t hear anything conclusive until the day after our stay when we were told there was nothing that could be done. When we arrived at the Chateau, the receptionist was rude and used poor language. I have booked many stays with this company but never again.

Pros
Quiet
Unique property
Beautiful interior
Good location with stunning views
Big comfortable bed
Friendly staff
Cons
Small safe, just managed to fit my medium sized iPad at an angle but way too small for a larger iPad or laptop
The shower only had HOT water
We had a turret room, the only window was tiny so room was very dark. The hotel lights were designed for atmosphere so still quite dark. Making applying make-up etc tricky.
No moisturiser in the room and the soap was very drying so I would suggest taking some with you.

A lovely property in the lovely Anglesea with helpful staff and a wonderful breakfast. Explored the superb Edward I unfinished Beaumaris castle and the supposedly haunted Victorian Beaumaris gaol. Will certsinly be back again for another stay!

The hotel is a really quirky building in an amazing location. The staff are friendly and hard working but the breakfast is very poor. No cheese whatsoever the first day and no toast or bread of any kind. Slices of supermarket cheese added the next day but with no bread, hardly counts as continental. The hot breakfast was cooked to order but was lacking in flavour. Cant speak for the dinner as the menu was not inspiring and the breakfast experience put us off. The shower could have done with a deep clean but otherwise no complaints.

In celebrating our diamond wedding anniversary the staff were really kind and considerate and made special efforts to make this time special. The public rooms were special and of high quality, really peaceful location with good views across the Straits towards Snowdonia and the peaks.

Character property with unique architectural features. Lovely lounges for relaxing and pleasant views over the Menai Straits. Excellent chef but limited menu choices for an extended stay. Big difference between basic room and deluxe, aim high, definitely worth it.

Definitely not worth what we paid, supposedly had a new chef as they had problems with agency chefs. If new chef cooking breakfast he needs to be fired. Breakfast is advertised as freshly cooked for you - not true. Black pudding inedible bacon like leather bits missing of plates and packet hollandaise sauce on eggs Benedict. On the plus side head receptionist amazing.

We had a brilliant time, room was excellent albeit it was a side seaview, I was expecting a full seaview. A little too hot and stuffy on arrival.
Overall it was great, food was excellent and staff were all very helpful and polite.

Wonderful place to stay! The gardens are beautiful. Great food too. Blanca was SO helpful and friendly.

Staff was very nice but service was not up to par. Staff needs more training about how to do things. For instance, I ordered a martini and got it after the meal was served. Little things like that the 3 days we were there. Young and not professional but very nice.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay in the Lodge. The Chateau was a pleasure to enter and explore. The staff we encountered were both extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast were very enjoyable and we looked forward to them every morning. The large garden was worth exploring and in the morning sun gave a fantastic view of the Chateau. We are currently looking for another stay shortly.
