The living area boasts a sociable space comprising of a snug lounge connecting to a kitchen-diner, which leads out onto the outside courtyard garden. There is a generous family sized bathroom as well as utility/boot-room. Parking is available and the parking fees are included in your stay.
The whole of Tide Cottage is available for you to enjoy!

The street where Tide Cottage is located is one of the most sought after locations in Southsea. Why? It is 30 seconds to 5 minutes walk from a vast choice of excellent restaurants and bars along Marmion Road, Palmerston Road and Osborne Road. Waitrose is also a 1 minute walk away!
Whilst the cottage is super close to everything, the road is very quiet and tucked away - a relaxing place to stay after you’ve been out and about enjoying all that Southsea & Portsmouth has to offer.
Parking is available on-street where Tide Cottage is and on adjacent roads.
(We are within the Portsmouth KC zone)
These spaces have a regular turnover of cars so spaces often become available.
Parking permits for one vehicle are included in the cost of your stay. Further permits for additional vehicles can be purchased at a cost of £5/vehicle/day. Please ask about these before you arrive if needed.
Further details of the parking zones can be found on out page after you have booked.
It is however always your responsibility to ensure you have parked in the correct KC zone or within alternative areas in Southsea.
Once parked you are unlikely to need your car during your stay because everything is so close by to walk to! Food shops, restaurants, the seafront. There are many buses and taxis too if you wanted to venture to Gunwharf, not forgetting the Voi electric scooters.
Part of the charm of Tide Cottage is the age of the property. It was built in 1850 and has been renovated for modern living, though the original staircase remains. The staircase may be steeper and have shallower stair treads than you are used to, with a tight turn. Whilst we have built a very strong and sturdy handrail, if you or anyone in your party have any mobility limitations, staying at Tide Cottage will not be suitable.
We are very happy to provide recommendations for the local area - places to eat, visit and entertainment.
