We had a great experience overall. Very courteous and attentive staff across the board.
Jacuzzi in the room when in use leaked water on the floor
Shower drain positioning on the floor doesn't seem to gather the water...leaves a puddle of water on the floor in which you end up standing.
Some room for improvement, but great overall.

Hotel is not new. It is however clean, beautiful, well located, has amazing food and the best customer service we have ever had!

We really enjoyed the time at the hotel. The staff was amazing, everything in general was great, nice pool, good restaurants, nice and friendly environment, David and Mary were very attentive, just naming a few but all the staff made sure we were comfortable and happy so thank you for that!!

Pros:
Madre Mia Staff and Entertainment: Rodrigo and the chef made my husband's birthday special with excellent food and great service.
Delicious Food: Most of the meals were delicious.
Beautiful Beach: The stunning beach was right outside our room.
Convenient Location: We enjoyed walking into town, though it was a bit dirty except for the high-end store section.
Cons:
Unprofessional Staff: Some staff members, like the buffet host and tours manager, were rude and unprofessional. The tours manager even threw a pamphlet at my husband when we mentioned being tired.
Room Issues: We were promised a king-size bed but ended up with two full beds pushed together, and the beds smelled damp. The staff tried to upsell us on future bookings instead of resolving the issue.
Lengthy Check-In: Check-in took over an hour, which was frustrating after a 14-hour trip.
Unhelpful Front Desk: The front desk staff was standoffish when we asked not to wait three hours for the bed we were promised.
Restaurant Manager's Behavior: The Italian restaurant manager made us uncomfortable by shaming us for taking leftovers, which discouraged us from returning.

The room was very nice, cleaned eveyday, and the mini bar was stocked daily as well.
We got a walk out suite, and I would definitely get that again if i stay there again. The whole staff there was amazing and super friendly. MadreMia was delicious.
We felt safe the whole time we were there, even when we walked over to 5th Ave, which is literally right around the corner.
Overall its a good hotel

We loved our stay there. Staff was super nice !

Staff and service are good. The beach is small and there are some random people around, it is not private beach.

everything was great, however the salespeople at the hotel were really annoying by pushing to buy the packages for upcoming vacaiton

We enjoyed our short trip. Hotel is small but nice. Food was good. Only complaint is there’s not food at the buffet for younger kids such as fries/chicken fingers etc. but the restaurants were good. Dress code for dinners isn’t crazy strict just look presentable. Shopping areas within walking distance which was nice. We would come back.

Loved the cleanliness and close proximity to shops and the ferry to Cozumel. The only draw back was that there's is only one pool and it wasn't even very deep. I'm only 5'2"and the water came up to my waist. Other than that everything else was great!

My family of 4 stood here for a week. The staff was amazing. We took beautiful family pictures. The nightly shows were surprisingly very good! The hotel is situated near 5th Avenue where you can enjoy shopping. We were ridiculously close to the ferry. The playroom for kids was GREAT. My children preferred to be there most days. The experience at the spa was great. The buffet food, room service, and the specialty restaurants were also very good. Would recommend 10/10.

Staff was amazing, everyone was friendly and profesional (David, Jaime, Mariela, silvia, Dafne, Edith, silvia and Marko made our stay very pleasant. Hotel was clean and food was delicious. We booked our tours from the hotel and we received excellent service. If we come back we will definitely choose palace resorts!!!!!

Located in an area that had a lot to walk to. Many restaurants and shops nearby and there is a mall next door.
Compared to other resorts I stayed at I felt the safety was a little less than expected. At no time did I feel unsafe. But other resorts have long entry ways with security where this did not and anyone could walk onto the property and hotel.
The hotel is a bit rundown. It needs a refresh which it seems to be doing. The food is good with one restaurant being closed for remodeling.

the workers were some of the nicest people i have ever met and the resort was very clean. 10/10 experience

Place was outdated. Buffet and dinner reservations ok. The location was perfect. Walkable to downtown Playa Del Carmen and the ferry to Cozumel. The ocean was warm and swimmable. The pools were refreshing and the ongoing customer service was great! Be aware of any unnecessary charges. It was a good time.

The property is outdated and needs a lot of freshening up. The pictures they share on their website and on Expedia are not what this resort looks like. The entire property had the smell of mildew and there were defusers throughout the property to mask the smell including in our room. There were bandaids covering the face of all of the sprinklers in our room. I’m not sure what for but looked like they had been there for a while. Our ocean view room should have been called a partial ocean view room considering it was facing the pool not the ocean. We were also supposed to have two queen beds that were actually double beds and both had a crease down the middle that my wife and I would roll into. Our AC unit sounded like a plane taking off when the room was quiet and ran nonstop to keep the room at 68.
The Restaurants for the most part were good. There were three decent restaurants and a very good buffet. Only problem was most if not all of the good things on the menu, a good steak, lobster tail, special requests you pay extra for them even though it was an all inclusive package that you paid good money for already. We had an additional $1200 bill because of this. “Most” of the servers and restaurant staff were courteous and very helpful. However, one of the hostesses and the Manager at Trattoria were very rude and judgmental. We truly felt singled out considering other people in the restaurant were wearing the same things or worse. It was a bad way to finish our week.

The staff is what made this property more than wonderful! Every single staff member was so kind & attentive. Loved each one. Also so clean our room the whole hotel. Food was great. Definitely recommend

Overall good value for the money, but the management gave up on the beach upkeep. Seaweed is a known problem in Mexico but in most places hotel at least tries to clean it up. We were hoping to spend some time on the beach but were quite disappointed. Also, Palace Elite is VERY pushy in offering their membership, which completely smashed our desire to come back to any Palace hotels.

Not as advertised…. 7 restaurants and only 2 are open. Wait… there is more if you didn’t book days in advance its room service. Checking out hours after checking in.

The resort is right next to the action downtown and next to the Ferry. We loved to sit by the pool and beach all day and the night life in town was great to experience as well. The staff was the most accommodating staff that we have had in our travels. The cost of the resort is very reasonable for what it includes. We tried the Hibachi Grill and the Italian Restaurant. Both were very good! The kids loved ordering room service and it was to the room within the half hour every time. Eric was a great tour guide on the bikes and showed up some renewable architecture as well as the Ruins around the property. He also kicked our behinds in the pool with Zumba. I can't recommend this resort enough for a reasonably priced all-inclusive place to take the family.

The hotel is nice, clean and the service is amazing. The staff is friendly and professional. We were treated amazing from the moment we arrived until the very last interaction. The hotel definitely needs some updating and the food was okay. I wish there was more variety. The Mexico show is 5 ⭐️
