The staff
Being asked to relocate because they had double booked and the other booking had included dinner!

Service, breakfast + dinner were ok.
Our room had no separation between bathroom and sleeping room. There was some kind of open window. which couldn't be closed. So you could, sitting on the loo, easily chat with your partner, including eye-contact. Ridiculous! I mentioned that at the beginning of our 3 nights-stay but nothing happened.

Enjoyed breakfasts watching the sun rise. And the Vervet Monkeys. Victor at the activities desk was very helpful organizing our transport around the town.

9.0 / 10.0
The breakfast was delicious. The location is amazing, very peaceful, just on the river bank. A lot of warthogs and monkeys are visiting during the day.

Only the location.
Everything except the location. Staff on arrival were rude and uninviting. Just wanted payment. Food and drinks were ridiculously expensive and not very good. It's literally cheaper to get a taxi to much better places and have much better food and experience. The place is dated. The rooms are small and simple things like coffee sachets are not replaced. The place cannot possibly be a 4 star. The booking. Com rating is very misleading.

Staff was very helpful. Room were clean and it was quiet. We loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone. We would go back. and the wifi was very fast.
Food prices at the hotel were a bit high.

its proximity to the Zambezi River
I am fully dependent upon my wheelchair. Despite its advertisements, this is not an accessible property. I was never able to use my toilet in the “accessible “ room: there was no space for transfers from a wheelchair. The only grab bar near the toilet was on the wall behind the toilet : when the toilet lid was up, it blocked the bar! One could access the bar if the lid was down, but then the toilet is not accessible!
Better professional thought and critique might help.

Great location right on the banks of the mighty Zambezi river
The rooms are tiny and the billing system is bad. You pay more than the price you see. There’s a problem with the rate of exchange they use to work out the price

Located out of town in the national park, the grounds are visited by buffalo, warthog and elephant, all of which you can watch whilst in the restaurant / bar if you're lucky!
The pool is excellent. The location is just on the river but with quite steep banks, so it's not plagued by crocs.
The restaurant is superb (warthog is delicious, as is continental breakfast).
Very friendly and helpful bar staff.
Entertainment is provided at dinner (don't miss the marimba band)
Could do with slightly more regular pool towel refresh and pool clean due to the number of bugs around.

On the river bank and a beautiful setting
Room 130
Shower door struggling to close
TV signal poor
The stay was for our anniversary. Before our stay I asked for a special gesture in some or other form to make it more special and to surprise my wife. Nothing was even mentioned...
Reception staff was okay, but felt like they just wanted to get us out of there. The porter was very friendly and helpful. Just cat remember his name now!!
