A pleasant visit to the seaside

Comfy bed, area right beside the sea, staff very welcoming, price seems right.

One electrical socket for the whole room in inconvenient location, bedside light cannot be connected, outside works look unsightly, 1 bathroom for 4 people seems a bit much when you need to go urgently.

Pretty okay, but had great accommodation the night before which over-shadowed the stay here.

Breakfast not included.

Shared toilet, but that was mentioned. Collective kitchen was good quality. More like a BnB than a hotel. I would have liked a desk to write on while I was there.

Lovely stay

Very good location, kids loved watching the boats in the morning. Short walk to a lovely cafe on the beach too. Rooms were clean and practical for our stay. Comfortable beds too.

The location was excellent, with a wonderful sea view. The accommodation was excellent, and exceeded expectations.

Not worth the money

Cleanliness

Bathroom fan was on with no switch to turn it off so it disrupted my sleep. Phoning the help desk was unhelpful for onsite parking. Had to pay £15 cash or bank transfer which was odd with no receipt of proof of purchase. On my last day when the hotel staff came in to replace towels and toiletries, I found the door ajar so it wasn't locked properly and was left open the whole day. Had to make sure nothing of value was missing. Lobby area looks like it is under maintenance.

The fact that they charged you to just park outside for £15 in their own space was not good at all. It was too expensive for what it is. I would not book again.

I would not recommend it.

Clean and spacious

Very hard to find. It doesn’t appear to be listed on Google maps and there is another Inn by the sea nearby so the whole thing was very confusing. This place is nothing like a hotel, which I thought I had booked. It’s adequate, nothing more: Only one bedside table lamp, not what you expect for a “de luxe” room. The duvet was far too warm for the season. The shower didn’t drain properly. Very poor noise insulation- we could hear the TV above very well. As for the sea view, if certainly was a bit of a stretch.

Basement room very cold....

Staff was very friendly no view as the room was below ground floor.we ask to have the heating on .. but staff tould us it comes on fixed time. And we had 2 years old baby.. not impressed with the landlord controls the heating as a result of finding three slugs inside the room.and was charged £15 on top of that for parking in empty car park. My car was the only car packed in there. All at cost of £105 not worth that at all. I could’ve spent the night in Hollidayin for much less and nice warm room possibly with view...Will not go there ever again. And I will not recommend for family with kids.

Staff very friendly that’s the only good thing.

Lovely place to stay in Southsea

Great location, great view, we had the top floor apartment and worked very well as a family of 5. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was good with everything you need supplied. The mini fridge was helpful too. The staff were very friendly, My daughter left something behind and they were very helpful and posted it back to us!

The only thing I would say was the room got very (uncomfortable) hot overnight. But they did supply a fan so that helped a bit.

Nice location, Near the beach and the Pier.

Accommodation only, Large room, Great sea View, Comfortable bed, Free off road parking, Person acting as receptionist, very helpful. The Hotel was located a few minutes walk from the seafront and the pier, and about 15 minutes walk from some nice restaurants.

The room had been recently decorated, it had a slight smell of paint, and a slight musky smell. The light above the bed did not work. We reported this, but nothing was done. Also one of the three windows did not have curtains, so as we were staying in August, the room got quite bright quite early. Other than the receptionist, other staff did not speak English very well.

Brilliant value for money, great accommodation and lovely staff!

Great location, brilliant value, very friendly staff and very clean property, would definitely stay there again, rooms were cosy and nicely decorated, bins were emptied daily and new coffee and tea supplies brought. Thank you for the stay!

Not usually found in a hotel but a microwave would be nice to make meals :)

It was fine, just noisy

Great room! Very clean and good view

On both nights, the noise was unbelievable. Someone was shouting. And making lots of noise. We didn't know where it was coming from and no one addressed it. Such a shame as everything else was great.

Large, comfortable room. Nice shower. Balcolny when available is lovely.

Nice room but balcolny was not available due to refurbishment. Very near sea.

Half lights didn’t switch on. A bedside lamp would be better. Couldn’t get tv to work

Quiet room but located within walking distance of local attractions Bed was comfortable Clean and tidy throughout

Was told no parking and then offered a space for more money once booked. In the middle of a residential area so where else to park was an issue. The blinds weren't particularly good so soon as sun came up room was bright

The host was kind and generous with her greeting. The room was fine.

I like the location. It did have a sea view. The room was cute enough. I’m not use to paying in England I normally stay with friends and relatives. So personally I find it all a bit expensive for sleep.

The duvet was too thick for this time of year and the bedding made us sweat a lot. We also shared a bathroom, which we knew when we paid but still a bit pricey for what it is in my interesting point of view.
