We stayed in the Honey Badger Lodge for 4 nights and we absolutely loved it. The staff are amazing and took great care of us! The food was delicious! We had a lovely time at the pool, watching monkeys run around the trees near the lodge. We also availed of massages at the spa which were amazing.
8.0
The overall African vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant and swimming pool area, the leopard (baby)tortoises and the green velvet monkeys in the garden.

Our room was very large and extremely comfortable, we stayed in a family sized room. The pool and dining area are also lovely and they offer massage services. The menu was extensive and food was nice.
The hotel offers outside guests use of the pool so it can get a little crowded during the day. The laundry service is also very expensive $1 per item. They also charge a card fee of 5%. Obviously the lodge is quite out of town which was fine for us but if you want to be central, dont stay here. The surrounding villages are also very loud playing music most of the time.

Quiet place set back from the main road
Velvet monkeys and turtles on site
Clean room and well organised shuttle service
We stayed on site but some did excursions to waterfalls and Kilimanjaro in the day
Rooms were not cleaned daily and no kettle facilities in the room, very dim lighting in the room but each room does have a little porch with outside chairs
5% extra charge to pay by card - wasn’t a problem- just nice to know in advance
A little eiry if you’re the only guests but soon picked up for our second night there

Stayed for 1 night. The property was clean, the staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. Loved watching the monkeys running around the place too.

the pool. it is nicely situated and lovely to chill at.
the rooms are old and crappy. there is no airconditioning.
but what was really below average was the food. the breakfast they serve is extremely bad. I think I have never had a worse breakfast than at this place. most of the people want to eat well especially because they go up the mountain. they serve filthy eggs with some old veggies which is just really poor.

spacious room and nice breakfast
sometimes hot water for showering wasn’t work well

The bedrooms were just stunning, the bathroom was so modern and stylish with lovely shower gels and toiletries. So many animals (baby turtles!!). Beautiful pool with lots of space to relax and lounge. The breakfast was delicious and the Kilimanjaro grilled chicken is spectacular
The bungalow’s roof leaked after heavy rainfall and attracted insects - I highly recommend staying in one of the regular rooms :)

Very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Loved the bungalow style accommodation and watching the tortoises very young and old was enjoyable to very time we passed them
shame that there was no light over or near the bathroom mirror (Room 03) as made it difficult to use, otherwise a lovely room.

The laundry was really expensive. We had to pay per item and ended up paying around 18 dollars for some clothes and underwear we use for sporting/hiking.

We loved our stay at the Honey Badger Lodge! Super beautiful pool area, restaurant and huts. Our room was very big with a separate shower room and bathroom. The staff were very friendly and I loved my massage. One of the best ones I had in years! The food was all right, nothing amazing but good value for money.
Our room had a lot of cockroaches in the bathrooms, which was very hard to get under control. We complained to the staff and they tried to solve it, but was not so successful. The mosquito net could be bigger so that it fits all sides around the bed to avoid insects inside.

Everything was fabulous!
There was nothing I was disappointed with at all. It was all terrific.

Perfect place to stay after a trek up kilimanjaro lol amazing pool, clean rooms with hot shower, good WiFi but not in rooms. Delicious food and very friendly and helpful staff. I can't say much about the location as we didn't leave the hotel. We recieved welcome smoothie on arrival and they did laundry too. We needed a massage after the trek so they called someone in to the spa and it was just what we needed. They also do a daily dinner menu with 3 courses it was perfect and breakfast was also good.
No WiFi in rooms

I just loved Honey Badger Lodge! It is comfortable, friendly, relaxed and very 'genuine.' I loved watching the monkeys playing in the gardens, listening to the children singing at the school just next door, getting back from a trip and enjoying a cocktail by the bar. Okay, so sometimes the electricity was a bit patchy and the the wifi would drop off for a short while, or the ice machine wasn't working one day, and the kitchen isn't open 24/7 (which is absolutely fair enough in a small lodge with only a handful of guests at any time). But that's Tanzania for you! If you're going to get up-tight about stuff like that, you're probably in the wrong country. Food is good, our room was lovely (and huge!). Staff are all delightful.
Honestly, I wouldn't have changed a thing.

The property is an absolute oasis located a small distance outside of Moshi. The staff are all amazing & the level of service is exceptional. They are are all kind, friendly & extremely helpful with anything you ask or require. The buildings are beautiful traditional African design & if you’re lucky you will also be visited by a family of Monkeys.
Nothing it’s fantastic

A nice place near but not in Moshi. Short gravel road after exiting the main road, but nothing complicated. The pool and restaurant area are nicely done, we had a beautiful small chalet in a traditional style which was nice and clean.
The breakfast and dinner were quite good as well and the staff was polite and friendly.

Very nice outdoor space to relax and enjoy after safari or hiking
Staff is nice and helpful, food is good and there are a lot of animals hanging around (very peaceful don't worry - small monkeys and tortoise)
Some dinners are mandatory buffet (less choice and more expensive)

the garden is beautiful, very well taken care of
the staff is really really friendly and the restaurant is also very good.
some rooms are without windows, just a bugs net. in the evening and early morning it gets noisy.
the location is quite remote, about 7km outside the city.

Really cool restaurant, pool and lounge area. The restaurante was one of our favourites in our stay in Tanzania - great quality price. The staff was super nice. Digna was always avaible, arranged us a transfer to the airport and prepared us a box with the breakfast. Rooms are big, great shower with good pressure and fast hot water. They have free wifi in the comun areas and also universal adapters in the room.
The rooms could have a litle bit more light.
10.0
open spaces. bedrooms. the general feeling of natural beauty and calm. thanks to Digna for prompt and efficient service.
no negatives.
