About this house rental
Summary:
This new 4 bedroom, eco friendly, modern home sits within an old disused quarry. Offering a splash of luxury internally in this unique location this house is perfect for a family or families to get together and create memories in a setting like no other.
The Space:
DOWNSTAIRS
As you enter the house via the front door you will notice the double-height ceiling, stairs leading to the upper level, a downstairs cloakroom and double doors leading to the main living area. Going through the doors leads you into a large open plan living room, dinning area and large kitchen boasting all the modern conveniences. Adjacent to the kitchen is a separate utility area, complete with a washer and dryer for practical living, and a dedicated space for muddy boots for those who enjoy outdoor walks.
There is also a separate room that can either be used as an office space, kids games room equipped with a tv (please note we do not supply any games consoles) or even more sleeping accommodation with a pull out sofa.
UPSTAIRS
Bedroom 1 - Super King bed, dual windows over looking the valley below and a balcony. This bedroom also enjoys an ensuite shower room and toilet.
Bedroom 2 - Double bunk beds which sleeps 4 people.
Bedroom 3 - King bed
Bedroom 4 - King bed with ensuite shower room and toilet
There is also a family bathroom with separate shower and a bath
The house is heated by the latest heat-pump technology which heats the house via underfloor pipes, comforting and toasty on the feet especially on those chilly winter days.
There is also an electric car charging point at the house which you are welcome to use during your stay.
Guest Access:
You have access to the entire property and garden. There is a locked cupboard in the house which stores supplies and owners belonging.
The house also has parking for 2 to 3 cars.
Other Things to Note:
The house is located in the Cookswood development spanning over 400 acres and set to encompass over 100 homes As of 2023 approximately 30 homes have been completed. As the site is still under development some areas may be restricted due to the ongoing work.
It's important to note that the nature of the site, being an old quarry, results in a substantial amount of mud. Guests are advised to come prepared with wellies or suitable footwear, as the outdoor terrain may be muddy. Additionally, as a courtesy to maintain the cleanliness of the home, please remove shoes before entering.
