About this house rental
NOW WITH POOL HEAT! Walk to lively and fun little beach town of San Pancho. Take a stroll across the footbridge down the street, you are 12 min walk from the ocean. Jump on a bike and you are there in minutes. There are many nice restaurants, galleries, shops, etc.
Come home and enjoy the pool, or relax with a margarita in our outdoor living space under the palapa. Each bedroom is En Suite! Lots of privacy. There is some highway noise, but the neighborhood is beautiful.
In building our house, we wanted to create an open space that integrates traditional Mexican materials with modern Mexican architecture.
There is a spacious kitchen and bar with accordion doors opening onto a patio by the pool. Full bar set up. The outdoor living space is so welcoming with a large corner couch under a newly constructed palapa. There is a fire pit and logs for gathering and pool chairs to either bake in the sun or relax with a cerveza. We do not have an indoor living room. The kitchen, bar, 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms are inside. But most of the areas to relax and chill are OUTSIDE. We love it this way, and it is very common in this part of the world. One thing to keep in mind: having mostly outdoor spaces is also welcoming for little creature to feel at home too.
Each private sweet has a bathroom and there is an extra half bath for guests. The King master suite features an outdoor shower and tub for soaking under the stars. This is a crowd favorite and is so romantic.
There is a lot of private space. Each king suite has a private rooftop palapa. This is a great place to have coffee at sunrise or hear the late night songs in the distance from San Pancho.
The woodwork is stunning. A local artisan handmade all of our chairs and mirrors out of exotic local wood. Some doors are handmade by a local blacksmith and feature a beautiful contrast to the clean lines of the architecture. Other doors are old and refurbished from Guadalajara. So beautiful. Much of the furnishings were hand picked from a legendary market, Tonala, in Jalisco.
All space available except to locked bodega
We are here for you, whatever you need.
Many restaurants, bars, 10 min walk to the beach, 10 minute drive to Sayulita, 20 min from Los De Marcos, shops, galleries, and street performers downtown.
Walk or bike. The town is very small. You can rent a car in Sayulita if you wish to explore. Also, a cab ride or shuttle is very inexpensive from town. I have drivers info if you are interested. Just ask! :)
Our house is close to the main highway. You will hear truck traffic. The neighborhood is very nice and people just accept it. We personally prefer this over the barking and roosters all night in town. It is a typical noisy little Mexican town. Also, the WIFI in San Pancho is very much like you are still existing in the 90s. The maximum speed that TelMex, the service provider, offers is 10 MB/sec. We were able to purchase a satellite account, and usually get slightly better than this. Most audio conference calls via internet work, and some basic streaming. However for work remote inquiries, you may want to consider renting a desk from Sayulita wifi. Another thing to consider is that in the winter time, due to most of the living space being outside, the home may adjust to outside temperatures. This can sometimes dip below 60 degrees between Dec and Feb. we have extra blankets if you need them. Personally, I have never needed a heater and most houses here have no heat. But just thought I would mention this. As mentioned prior, with mostly outdoor living spaces, you may encounter little critters such as scorpions, frogs, harmless garden snakes, and other tiny creatures. We do fumigate twice monthly and treat the perimeter, but this is just the reality of jungle living.
Please leave the dishes clean. Put trash in garage can. Remove recycling from kitchen and into garage. We limit to 2 pets allowed.
