Good location. Great pool with lovely BBQ area. But wouldn't stay again due to the un-cleanliness.

The receptionist was lovely she was very friendly and cheerful. Good location we found it easy to get around in (we did have our own car). A lovely little restaurant walking distance called the Whiny Cow is recommended. We spent a lot of time in the pool area with kids. It was great for them.

The cleaners do not clean at all. Disgusting! when we arrived bugs everywhere on the floor. We killed so many bugs and cockroaches. Living in bathrooms and kitchen. When the cleaners came for the mid week clean we were there and saw them get the vacuum out to clean. They vacuumed around the dead cockroach on the hallway floor!!! The bins were disgusting and needed wiping down. The stove was disgusting. The floors were just all over gross like they haven't been washed properly. The bathroom had a shelf missing in the shower (its been pulled out of the wall). And never replaced. Bed sheets had dirty marks on them. The walls have picture hooks but no pictures on them. No air con in the bedrooms and it was stinking hot. TV WIFI didn't always work. We could hear people complaining in the lobby to the receptionist that they also had no TV WIFI. The dryer in the laundry had lint built up on it like it had been there for a very long period of time. Basically never cleaned out. Was so thick with lint! Will show photos of how the kitchen was left after the cleaners had been in to clean. The two girls in the kitchen were in there cleaning when we left them to it. Upon our return we realised they hadn't cleaned at all.

Well located. Staff were very helpful.

At first TV didn’t work well as batteries were flat in the remotes, but on contacting staff they quickly resolved the issue in a very friendly manner.

Holiday in GC

The apartment was spacious, a large open plan lounge/dining room, the view was okay. Heated pool and spa were great. Decor in apartment was nice. Miriam was lovely at reception, very helpful and informative.

There are several new buildings going up so there was a bit of noise and the view is disrupted. The gym was a little disappointing but used what was available.

Great location, facilities, and view.

We liked the view of the beach from the high floor-very calming, relaxing, the location was handy, because it was very close to restaurants, the beach and more. Kids loved the indoor/outdoor swimming pools and spa, the full sized tennis court and the squash court. Apartment was very well stocked with appliances, cooking utensils, etc and full Foxtel access was great.

We liked that Sunbird was out of the rat race of Surfers yet still within walking distance or a tram ride away (3 stops to Cavill Avenue). We used the tram every day. It was a very efficient and reasonably priced service (trams every 7 minutes). We were on the 12th floor. The only noise we heard was an occasional loud car zooming down the beach road late at night or a resident closing his door on his way out to work. We had a beachside unit with great views of the beach. The 2 bedroom unit was spacious and comfortable. We had a nice long table in the dining area. The kitchen was spacious, plenty of bench space with a large fridge and an inverter cooktop. This was important as we did most of our own cooking. It was very handy to have a washing machine and dryer in the unit. There were 2 clothes drying racks also, an iron and an ironing board.

A couple of the globes were not working when we arrived at the property and the kitchen tap handle was loose. However, these maintenance items were attended to promptly when we raised them with the nice lady on Reception. There was only one dishwashing tablet and one small sachet of dishwashing liquid in the starter pack and 2 garbage bags provided in the kitchen. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided per bathroom. We stay at many self-contained units and they have all provided us with a sufficient supply of these necessary items to last the duration of the stay nor just enough for the first day. For the money you pay, you would expect to be supplied with a decent amount of these items. It was quite disappointing. It would have been nice to have some salt and pepper provided also. The beds were a bit on the hard side. It was a bit inconvenient having to go down to the basement to throw recyclable bottles and packaging into the big bin. A steamer would have been handy to have in the kitchen. There were only 3 drinking glasses in the kitchen. Usually there are at least 6.

Perfect for our holiday

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The pools are great and our family enjoyed using the squash courts. The view from our balcony was amazing and we loved the location. We would definitely stay here again.

Great apartment with spectacular views reasonably priced

Its a great apartment with spectacular views of the ocean. Its well equipped kitchen wise and the laundry had everything too, also has foxtel. Location is excellent for main beach and Tedder Avenue and tram to surfers and broadbeach. The staff in particular Marian are so friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The furniture was a bit shabby and there were two outdoor chairs on verandah but one had worn through so could not sit on it but there were enough dining chairs to use.

Perfect Family Getaway.

Location, room size, cleanliness of facilities and welcoming nature of staff. Views of both the city and surf with double balconies and floor to ceiling windows throughout. Plenty of space to accommodate sleepy little ones with rooms tucked away from entertaining areas. Indoor pool space was heated and comfortable. Showers and changing facilities made using the pool a breeze. Kitchen and laundry were well equipped and made for an easier break when travelling with children. All equipment was modern and up to date with tech trends.

Beautiful views and clean

Beautiful views. The accomodation is impeccably clean. The check in process ran smoothly and the staff was friendly.

It is a bit outdated and could use with more modern appliances and overall look. The hot water runs out quickly for a family of 4. The water of the indoor pool was not warm at all, which is one of the main reasons I booked there. The water pipes were a bit noisy in the unit, especially with a baby it kept waking her.

Sunbird great place to stay

Friendly reception when we arrived. Parking was easy to use. The bed was super comfy, and there was plenty of room in the apartment that was clean and tidy.

The only downside was that we had no garbage bin in our room, and the TV was difficult to use.

Not the best but not the worst either!

Nice beach view, useful kitchen and plenty of space

Only one roll of toilet paper in the bathrooms for 4 people for one week, so we had to buy more. Same for the washing liquid and dishwashing powder, only enough for one load of dishes over a whole week so we had to go out and buy more of all of those items as well as soap and shampoo/conditioner. Most hotels replenish or allow plenty but not at the Sunbird. Only one towel for each person so we needed to wash and dry them but our washing machine didn’t work. Bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed and no lock, so we had to block the door from the inside with the rubbish bin each time to stop it swinging open when in there. Carpark spaces underneath are very tightly packed in so you can’t afford to have a larger size vehicle without having to squeeze in tight to the car next to you.

Just had few issues with hot water running out with family of four who probably shower longer than they should, and wiFi not that good, quite glitchy. Tennis court great, but rackets supplied a bit knacked, could do with replacing.

Superb

Excellent location, just across the road from the beach and within walking distance to the restaurants on Tedder Avenue. Amazing view. Comfortable two bedroom apartment. Great facilities including gym, pools, tennis court. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend.

Great quiet location

Location is great close to the beach and away from surfers paradise hustle and bustle, staff were so friendly and alway busy pottering around the resort,, pool area, sauna.

Beds - they need to be updated as they were very old, small, and uncomfortable however done the job.

the proximity to the beach and restaurants, the size of the apartment and the great view. Staff were very helpful and nice, services and amenities in the whole were great

Eventhough the pool area has been updated it still is underwhelming however good for a dip. For serviced apartments there was one sachet for the dishwasher and the same for the washing and for dishwashing for one week which was quite poor.

Lovely clean and bright apartment with everything you need for a self-catering stay. The apartment was a great size perfect for a family and the facilities and pool were great. Beautiful views. The Receptionist was warm and friendly. Walking distance to beach and some restaurants and cafes

Enhoyed stay but wouldn’t come again

Location. Size of Apartments. staff were friendly.

It’s showing it’s age. it’s getting tatty around the edges. Apartment needs a good detail clean everything high was dirty. We stayed a week and we’re only supplied 1 dishwashing portion and minimal toilet paper. any other supplies were up to us. I fell we would’ve been supplied the same amount if we stayed 1 night. very poor considering the cost of stay.
