It was in a convenient location.
Our room had a funny odor. The AC sounded like a jet engine every time it went on (every 20 minutes or so.) Also very expensive.

We have been several times but this room was like a shoe box. Sink was in the bedroom. Night time noise was loud and late.

Excellent and convenient location to walk everywhere within Newport- restaurants, rooftop bars, shopping, the mansions. The included breakfast helped us start our day and there were healthy options.
Expensive but I suppose in line with the area in the summer....
3.5
Historic building located so close to shops and restaurants.
Our room and kitchenette were very clean. I always go over things with sanitizing towels but no dirt came up
Breakfast was great value!
This is little but important! Lacked anywhere to put clothes and towel when showering. No bath mat.
Because it is old building floors are off a little so something to be aware of if you have balance issues.

They put me in a different building. I much prefer staying in the main building.

The location is outstanding and for an off season price of < $100 that is a true bargain. The hotel has a vintage feel to it with victorian chairs, model ships all around and even an old room key. Tea time was a plus although we couldn't find stirring straws. The breakfast fruit was very good.
Not sure where to begin. Our room smelled like a nursing home and was very stuffy and hot. We used the AC to help alleviate the problem. The shower has no strength as the water is running mostly out of the tub drain. We were on the 3rd floor and the cleaners closet was always open and looked in disarray. Some wallpaper was peeling and one of the outlets didn't work. Parts of the breakfast (waffles) were inedible and it was unclear where the silverware was. We also noticed several air purifier sprays in the main rooms that shot out some fragrance mist (like in a bathroom). Were they trying to cover up a smell? We were given a wifi password, but it didn't work, so we had to hotspot. The bed seemed hot when sleeping and the view left something to be desired.

I had a room on the top floor which had a wonderful view of Thames street and a bit of the harbour. The sunsets were wonderful from my window. The room was spacious enough and the tub was pleasant enough for a bath after a long day of walking around and shopping.
The wifi in my room was absolutely useless; I got a better connection from the restaurant across the street. I wasn't even able to send and receive emails from any part of my room, not the desk by the window or on the bed.

This is the first time we have stayed in an inn, I think they had less than 20 rooms. The inn was very clean, the staff was friendly and the complimentary breakfast was exceptional.
It was centrally located in Newport and we walked to a lot of placed.
I didn't realize that there was no elevator, we were on the 4th floor.
In addition, we got very lucky for parking on Saturday, the town was really busy and they only have public parking. I drove around the little parking lot and got lucky since someone was leaving. Also, the lot did charge after October 31, so we saved about $120 to $160 on just parking. There were other lots that were open and charging $40/overnight parking per night.

Nice cozy King Size room with a simple bathroom, AC/Heating Unit was easy to adjust Temps, location of the hotel itself was perfect walking distance to a lot of stores & restaurants and close to all the mansions.
