Local seguro, confortável e de fácil acesso aos pontos turísticos.

A Localização é excelente, perto do metrô e do Cable car, além do fácil acesso a restaurantes, farmácias e lojas. A equipe do hotel é muito atenciosa e gentil.

Séjour parfait à l’hôtel Chancellor

L’hôtel est très bien situé , dans un quartier très sympathique et proche de tous les transports . La chambre était assez spacieuse pour nous , il y avait une pièce genre cagibi , dans laquelle nous avons pu mettre les valises , et poser les vêtements sur cintre . La literie parfaite, le ménage fait tous les jours . De plus , eau, café , pommes et cookies gratuits toute la journée. Bref, super séjour !! Hotel où nous aurons plaisir à revenir ☺️

Tre notti in centro a San Francisco

Su Union Square, è comodissimo per tutto: metro, cable car oppure per spostamenti a piedi, anche se lunghi, verso la baia. Conserva il fascino dell'hotel americano, vintage ma comodissimo. Apprezzatissima la possibilità di consumare caffè e bevande nella lobby

Il ventilatore a pale non si spegneva, nemmeno l'addetto che, chiamato, è venuto a vederlo in camera, è riuscito a risolvere il problema. Ci siamo arrangiati. Un dettaglio: la cabina armadio, sebbene comodissima, ha la porta un po' stretta e le valige faticano ad entrare

Um charme de hotel para ser vivido em cada dia e em cada detalhe!

Localização, romantismo do hotel, a história existente no hotel, um charme sem igual! A limpeza dos quartos excelente ! O diferencial : água de excelente qualidade disponível, maçãs na entrada, cookies e a tradicional pipoca do hotel ! Cama super confortável ! Sabonetes, shampoos e condicionadores de muito boa qualidade!

Würden jederzeit wiederkommen

Das Hotel ist optimal am Union Square gelegen. Restaurants und Haltestellen sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Im Foyer gab es zu jeder Zeit Kaffee und Cookies und nachmittags Äpfel und sogar Popcorn. Das Zimmer war funktional und das Badezimmer sauber und geräumig. Wegen des sehr guten Gesamtpakets können wir dieses Hotel sehr empfehlen und würden auf alle Fälle wiederkommen.

Excelente localização

Extremamente bem localizado. Quarto e banheiro bastante espaçosos. E ainda tem um closet, que eu não esperava. Apesar de pequena a cama é confortável. Chuveiro muito bom.

A cama queen na verdade era uma cama de viúva. Não tem isolamento acústico entre os quartos conjugados então escutava toda a conversa dos meus vizinhos.

Para ser perfeito, precisa trocar o colchão. Nas avaliações li que era muito mole, não acreditei. Mas é realmente muito mole !! Atenção para quem tem problemas de coluna. Outro ponto é não ter ar condicionado. Não me atrapalhou, mas em épocas de calor pode ser desconfortável

Schönes historisches Hotel in guter Lage und mit attraktivem Preis.

Nettes historisches Hotel mit sehr freundlichem und wirklich hilfsbereitem Personal. Das Hotel ist an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel sehr gut angebunden. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll ausgestattet mit vielen kleinen Details und die Betten sind sehr komfortabel. Das WLAN/WIFI ist sehr gut (ausreichend zum Netflix schauen). Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Das Hotel ist für einen Urlaubstrip auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen (in dieser Preiskategorie).

Unser Zimmer war recht hellhörig und nur durch eine Tür vom Nachbarzimmer getrennt, wodurch es nur wenig Schallschutz gibt. Der Problembezirk Tenderloin ist in direkter Nähe, wir haben uns jedoch trotzdem stets immer relativ sicher gefühlt.

Very clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are rather old but really nice and comfy. The location is awesome. It’s directly at Union Square and in the road the Cable Car passes through. Would definitely go back.

Cute place, good value !

Big bathtub, great location, loved the popcorn, staff was helpful, cable tv, respectful room service.

Mattress ( sagged in the middle), toilet was really close to the door, no bathroom fan, loud flush, no AC (we cracked the window for air, and had the ceiling fan on), thin walls, parking not included ( day rate is charged if you do park in the closest lot which is up the street )

A gem of a hotel!

Excellent location. Professional, friendly and helpful Staff. Characterful hotel and full of charm, we were advised that there was no AC only a fan, in our riom, but the fan was great and very effective. We were celebrating a special occasion and had requested a quiet room on a high levei, which we had - we were in room 1309... perfect with a bottle of Cava and a lovely card, nice touch. We stayed 10 nights, 20th - 30th June 2023 and really appreciated the complimentary coffee, tea, water, apples, popcorn and fresh cookies each day.

A restaurant would have been nice, however, we do not have any complants

Great short visit in a pleasant central hotel.

clean and comfortable, central for everything we wanted to do, friendly helpful staff, the complimentary tea/coffee or iced water and cookies in the morning was a nice touch.

Lovely well kept up classic hotel right off Union Square.

Well located a half block off Union Square. Helpful, pleasant staff. The upgrade for additional fee was worth it - nice two-room suite. Quiet and comfortable.

No water whatsoever in room or available for purchase. With the coffeemaker right there, I would have expected one small bottle for first morning.

True San Francisco charm in the heart of one of the most amazing cities on this planet

I have a house in the City but needed to house my mom due to renovations happening. I chose The Chancellor owing to the fact that it was smack dab in the heart of the tourist district which would allow my mom to explore while I was going to get some medical tests done. I also wanted to treat her to a mini vacation as we had just laid my grandmother to rest two weeks prior after a month in the hospital prior to that...truly a traumatic time for us. Having lived in the City, I'm all too familiar with the "charm" of old buildings, particularly the elevators and the ... compact hallways. Once over that, however, the rooms are nicely laid out with the bathrooms on raised levels. I got my mom a suite and the fan control in the bedroom area only half worked but was still usable. The weekend we were there was the LNY so it was ... festive (read: loud). But we were towards the back of the hotel so most of the noise wasn't affecting us. Barring this, the sofas were comfortable and we both conked out in minutes of sitting down (or laying down as was her case). Overall, she enjoyed her stay. When our next "staycation" happens, The Chancellor will most definitely be on my list of destinations (assuming my house isn't finished).
