It was close to universal. We loved our room. Had a suite it had two rooms and two showers so it made it super easy for the family.
There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like.

The beds were very comfortable.
No hot water the first night and maintenance was sent to fix it and he couldn’t and said he would report it to the front desk for a room change. Never heard anything that night, so I went to the front desk at 8:15 am the next morning before boarding the shuttle to theme park and reported it again and was told it would be looked at by maintenance again and fixed or we would be moved to a new room. When we returned from the theme park around 8:30 pm, I asked the front desk about the status of the repair and the man knew nothing about it. He went into a side room and asked another employee about it and he came back out and told me they’re still working on it. I told him we wanted a hot bath and that it’s been ongoing since the night before and was supposed to be fixed or they were going to move us and he rudely said well, we can get you a new room after he made me wait a bit. I asked him if the new room should have hot water and if the issue was just my room and he proceeded to notify me that he couldn’t promise anything because one of their boilers went out. Wow! So possibly make us move all our items after a long day to another room for no hot water. Made no sense. He then asked us to sit in the lobby while he checked rooms for hot water. After a long wait, he came down and said the hot water was working in our room. Terrible communication! I asked him what happened snd he said the boiler wasn’t working and they fixed it, it went out again, and apparently they fixed it again and he did not know. The hotel doesn’t answer the phone promptly or at all. I called twice before arriving to set up the shuttle to the park and it rang for 10 minutes with no answer or recording. I called IHG customer service and they could not reach the hotel and IHG customer service couldn’t reach IHG customer care to rectify the issues.

I liked the fact that it was so spacious and had enough room for my large family.
First of all, a roach crawled across the TV in one of the bedrooms. Secondly, the breakfast was misleading. I ONLY clicked on the hotel, bc it advertised that breakfast was included. HOWEVER, when I got into the room and asked what time breakfast would be, the woman said that it was not included unless you had a voucher. WHAT???? That was nowhere on the reservation form. But she said I had to request that when I paid for the reservation. I do not recall seeing ANYTHING about that. And she was unrelenting, even though I had taken a screenshot of my reservation that said breakfast was included. The only way we could eat breakfast was if we paid $17.99 PER PERSON!!!! WHAT??? No thank you. I will stay at Drury Inn & Suites or somewhere similar that actually offers a free breakfast.

Beds were uncomfortable. The AC didn’t work. Had 2 guys come up to look at it and it was so hot that we couldn’t even sleep at night. Woke up in sweats. It was dirty and gross. No good benefits staying here.

They charged me a deposit and still dont have the refund. The hotel not clean, they change me once from the first room the gave me an d then give me another but it smells not good. You charge a refund and the quality is not ok.

We paid extra for the free breakfast but found out when we got there it only included 2 adults.

The pictures did not represent the property. Lobby was great, rooms and halls were not. Very rough and outdated. The hallway carpet was filthy- food everywhere and trash. The shower only have cool water and the toilet backed up when flushed as well as the sink. Our room phone didn’t work so I couldn’t call to get that problem talked about. The pull out sofa was aweful. Falling apart and dirty. I wouldn’t let my nephew sleep there. The stairwell smelled like weed multiple times when passing it and the room on the first night smelled like cigarettes even though it was a 100% nonsmoking hotel. I had planned to bring my Girl Scout troop here in June for 5 days and when I saw it cancelled. This was disappointing to say the least.

The male evening staff member Qinton from Argentina was excellent. He was wonderful and helpful and friendly.
The female staff member working during the day with her arm in a sling was miserable and quite rude.

The View from the room.
On our first night we had no hot water in our room and none of our TV’s worked nor had cable on it. Now after a long drive down to Orlando for our family vacation from New York, we came to a room that we would have to shower in cold water, and no TV to be entertained. We complained about the issues and we’re told it would be resolved. A technician came to fix one TV and we were left with three TVs with no cable!
Both toilets in our bathrooms were clogged, leaving us with no bathroom to use. We complained about the problem, once again were told the issue would be resolved and yet after 4 times of complaining about the issue. Someone dropped off the plunger in front of our room door and didn’t bother to try. After calling the front desk, I was told someone would come up and “take care” of the issue. They sent the security guard to resolve the issue! He “tried” to fix the toilets and said they could not be fixed and that someone would have to come in the morning to resolve it and the next morning I was to be checked out and out of the hotel.
The linens in our rooms were filthy and ripped as you can see in the photo attached. My husband has woken up with bug bites all over his body. I didn’t even feel comfortable placing my children to sleep in them.
We were told countless of times that We would receive a call from the manager Julio, and NEVER received any type of communication from him. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever came across in the hospitality industry. There were COUNTLESS of tenants complaining about very similar things.
This is beyond unacceptable! The rooms are disgusting, the elevators are disgusting and not up to par, the hall ways are also disgusting! HORRIBLE PLACE! KEEP AWAY!

Excelente ubicación, habitaciones cómodas y limpias. Personal atento, Puedes comprar las entradas de Universal y pases exprés ahí mismo a precio de parque. Traslado gratuito a Universal . Una referencia especial para Ángel, persona respetuosa, atenta y comprometido con el servicio al cliente. Me resulta necesario destacar que este muchacho, a pesar de que ya había terminado su jornada, atendió un requerimiento mío que al menos le ocupó unos 15-20 minutos, este tipo de detalles hacen la diferencia en las organizaciones.
Que siendo huésped nos cobraran el parqueo, al rededor de $20 la noche.
Tomar en cuenta para el presupuesto.

The title is a bit misleading, it’s not actually across the road from universal studios and is about 30 minute walk. We booked it thinking we could easily walk it but ended up getting a ride to the park and back

I always have enjoyed the comfort of Holiday Inns.
They told us at 3pm that our room was ready but they would call us when it was. At 8pm we still had no call so we checked again anyways. We were told it STILL was not ready. They tried to put us in a room that was 2 double beds when we booked a 2 room suite with a king and 2 doubles. Finally they went and checked rooms and found our room was then ready. I should of never had to wait that long for our room.

Shower head fell off, fridge wasn’t working, didn’t get any bedding or towels for FIVE HOURS. Phones not working, room dirty, mold on the vents.
Overall Horrible experience.

It’s was nice. The room did not have any towels, the outlet in the bathroom, no toilet paper roll holder. I had to go down to ask for towels at3am when I got back to my room and there was no one to be found for at least 15 minutes on the hotel
