Our room was on the third floor of an eclectic 110 year old building. The room was well laid out and the air conditioning was the best I have ever slept in. There were a number of tasteful amenities. Being a dated building our bathroom was located just across the hall but it was dedicated to our use only. we dined outside and the atmosphere, staff, and food were all excellent.
The morning coffee provided was via a hot water drip through a container mounted over your mug. This container did not sit extremely well over the mugs provided which was not a real issue but the drip was so slow that by the time your cup was ready, the coffee had cooled considerably.

We really enjoyed this accommodation in so many ways. We appreciated an early check-in. The location is fabulous. It just takes a couple minutes to walk downtown or to the resort or to the beach or to Tubbs Hill or to many exceptional restaurants! The '315' restaurant here was exceptional AND we really appreciated the $50 gift certificate. The staff are excellent and see to all your needs. The location is quiet with ample free parking. The A/C unit was really quiet too and worked well.
Even though the deck is in rough shape and was supposed to come with "furniture" ... all it had was a table and chairs. Some flowers or a chaise lounger would have made it much more appealing. Nonetheless, we thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside with the lovely music from the restaurant adding some ambiance. However, it must be said that the description of our room said it had a "lake view". This was entirely misleading. I'm happy to pay extra to get outdoor seating and a good view, but in order to even see a snippet of the lake off in the distance, you had to stand up and look through the trees in just the right space. No. This is not a lake view.
The description also said "separate bedroom". Nope. That is in room #4. It said we had a bath and shower. No. Just a shower in room #1. It said we had a "socket by the bed". No. We had a power bar under the bed that my phone cord could not possibly reach.
I also wish the description said 'Continental" Breakfast included instead of "Breakfast included". There was granola and yogurt and some little wrapped cheese and oranges in the fridge, but when we travel, I always look for breakfast to be included due to my blood sugar issues. I need protein in the morning. Thankfully there was a restaurant two doors down with hot breakfast ... but ... it cost us a fair bit extra to eat over our three night stay. The "large double bed" in this room is not a king-size either.
While it may be suggested that I'm being picky about small things ... these little details make a huge difference in the overall satisfaction. I don't like being misled and not getting what I thought I was paying for. I would recommend this place, but would hope management would provide a more accurate description in their advertising.

The staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful!! The food was wonderful, and the chef worked with all our dietary restrictions! Would go back anytime!

Old historic house; large room
Private bathroom was across the hall. No longer offering breakfast (some food to takeaway in a cold case on second floor). More attention to separately owned on-site restaurant than to hotel.

Close to down town!
Tv was in bedroom which was fine but had to sit on bed . Maybe a small chair would help. Walls are very thin.

Oh - let me rave on this place for a bit because WOW.
The location was fantastic! It's a 2 minute drive or 7 minute walk to the waterfront and shopping and restaurants. The room was spacious and very clean. Bed was comfortable. The shower had super hot water, and the provided soaps and shampoos were very nice. We were in the Gwendolen Suite which has an exterior balcony. I can only imagine how lovely that would be in spring and summer. This is definitely something we will keep in mind!
Customer service was absolutely amazing both in the restaurant and the hotel. The hotel manager, Mike, was very communicative. He was kind to reach out and provide us with a room upgrade from our initial room - the Innkeepers room to the GS given some room availability. This gave us an in-room bathroom versus the private hall bath the other provided and was very much appreciated!
Adam, in the restaurant, was a superb server. The food and drinks were FANTASTIC. We had the huckleberry chicken, the ahi tuna, marionberry cheesecake, and the pineapple upside down cake. Portions were perfect, drinks were well-made, and everyone was just so kind.
I've read other reviews with complaints about the provided breakfast, and I have nothing negative to say. There was fruit, yogurt, and pastries provided. They give you a $35 voucher to a fantastic restaurant, and to be honest, I'd much rather have the voucher to 315 than a full continental breakfast. There are multiple local bakeries nearby as well if anyone is craving something different. And you also have access to brunch at the restaurant on listed days.
I honestly do not think I've ever had a more positive experience at a hotel/restaurant before.
I've told multiple friends and family about this place already, and my parents are excited to stay on a future visit to the region.
There's just a couple of things that may be kept in mind, but do not detract at all from the amazing experience we had.
1. The pillows are very very soft, so if you need more support, be aware.
2. The television had no sound. We tried to troubleshoot it multiple ways, but somehow, it just would not come on for us via streaming or cable. I assume there was something that we just overlooked. Again, we're not there to watch tv - it was just something we couldn't work around.
3 The menus provided in the room for the restaurant were outdated, so the specials and some of the entrees were different. We went down thinking that we could order one thing, but it was no longer offered. Of course, this is not a biggie either - the food that we were served was phenomenal, and we were both delighted.
That's it. It was great. I hope everyone who stays here has such a great experience.

Location
We arrived at 6 pm, after a long drive. There was no one to greet us. Finally, the restaurant hostess appeared, to let us know we needed a code for a self check in. We called the manager, Mike, and he said we were supposed to receive a code via text or email earlier that day, and that it probably got in a spam folder. He gave me the code, and texted “So just so you have it the rest of the night your code is ** and you’re in the room number 7”.
After finally getting to our room, I double checked my messages and, sure enough, there was nothing from Greenbriar. I texted Mike about it, and his answer was “Thanks for letting me know. I will have to look at the software and see why it’s falling”. Seriously?? Instead of a simple apology to your inconvenienced and tired guest? Also, who addresses their guests by “so”?..
We chose room 7 based on the pictures of it. It looked unique and inviting, with warm dark beige walls, burgundy curtains, green rugs, dark wooden doors, cute settee at the bed, and vintage wall art. However, when we stepped in, my first thought was that we got a wrong room. Dull curtains, no rugs, sticky wooden floors, no settee, no decor, no cart table at the sink. The “updated” room got stripped of its charm. Moreover, they removed the carpet, but did not level the metal vent cover with the floor, and it had protruding sharp corners. I learned it hard way, injuring my toe when getting out of bed, which badly affected my remaining vacation.
The slanted ceiling is so low at the claw foot bathtub, that you have to bend awkwardly to crawl in and out of the tub. It was the most uncomfortable “bath” I took in my life. The water turning ice cold every 2 minutes, and holes in a bathrobe, just added to this unpleasant experience.
I am omitting some more displeasing details. Hope they will complete their updates, to bring beauty and safety to their rooms, and the manager might benefit from renewing some hospitality trainings.

I loved the concept of taking a building more than 100 years old and updating it. Our bed was comfortable, our room was clean. The staff were friendly and informative. The restaurant food was good.
The sink in our room drained very slowly. The only parking was on the street and typical of an older property the steps to the second floor were quite steep. The walls are thin and sound transmits pretty easily.

No staff at property all communication by app, no local information, more like an apartment, breakfast only muesli, cheese portion and yoghurt

Attractive and well-appointed decor, friendly and helpful staff, excellent food and appreciated vouchers. Great breakfast place next door for weekdays when there is no brunch Comfy and quiet and close to downtown, bike paths, beaches, parks.

We enjoyed ourselves. The room was quiet and food was excellent. Really appreciate the food stipend.
The mattress was way too soft and rolled to the middle.

I have stayed multiple times and have a wonderful experience each time. The breakfast was not offered during my last visit but they offered dinner instead and it was a perfect trade off. nice restaurant
I would like to see newer bedding and towels

Food and ambience very good in restaurant although we were disappointed our table in front of the fire we’d booked had been given away…. Grab and go breakfast quite adequate. Spacious rooms well appointed much appreciated.
The noise insulation between rooms was not sufficient - we heard snoring and a baby crying throughout night making a not a very restful sleep.

I loved that it was a historical house. It was charming with lots of personality.

Restaurant had delicious food and friendly staff. Great location--we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go.
Not having breakfast after reading rave reviews about it (was there Thursday and Friday morning off season). The room above us apparently had wood floors in the bedroom and the guest(s) who stayed there Thursday night walked around with heels on for about 10-15 minutes straight! It was annoying! We understand that example, and other noises from other guests, are due to lack of insulation because it's a historic building. The bed was too soft for us.

credit for dining was awesome and good was over the top

The food was excellent and so was the service. I love history and it was like stepping into a page of history they did a good job to try to keep the old mixed with new.
Started getting a little noisy early in the morning but it couldn't be helped I don't think, and it was fine I had to finish my homework before I could go play anyway.

This is a cute place that is no longer a B and B. The location is great with and easy walk to the central Coeur D' Alene and the waterfront. The breakfast was great . The bar and restaurant looked amazing.
The bathroom is tiny (perhaps to be expected in B and B) and the TV is very small. When the TV and heater with both on the circuit breaker was constantly being tripped and there really was no one to easily contact.

Pretty, comfortable, historic Inn very close to downtown shops and amenities. Comfortable room. Dining was excellent.
It was a short stay so I didn't get to experience all the Inn has to offer, but that's certainly nothing against the Inn!

We had a great one night stay at the Greenbriars Inn. The Inn itself is beautiful with a wonderful outdoor area to sit and relax. Our room was small, but comfortable. We had dinner at the Inn and it was really good. Gabe and Patrick were awesome as they were short staffed that evening, but they still kept everyone fed and happy.

The breakfast is prepared to order by the restaurant downstairs. It was exceptional! I will be returning.
The soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty.
