Everything was wonderful. Great property and lots to do. Kid friendly. Nice rooms.

Love the location and amenities. Room needs updated, but was comfortable. Food at the Hickman Grill was wonderful and so was the staff.
Housekeeping never visited our room, we had to stack our garbage outside our door. It was hot and humid outside, and fresh towels would have been nice at least once during our five day stay.

everything. oglebay is our favorite.
nothing except maybe wishing the restaurant had more chicken options but we know it’s temporary!

Always a pleasure to visit Oglebay. They are doing renovations currently but it still was a nice time and I’m looking forward to seeing the upgrades next time around.

How there was so many things to do and explore. We also really liked how big the size of the room was. We stayed in the king size lake view, It was also nice having out own access to the outside and not having to go though the lobby all the time.
There isn’t really anything we didn’t like except the far walk to the car because it was hard to find parking after 5 pm.

Loved Pool & hottub. Rooms were so comfortable & cozy..Lounge as friendly as ever!
Second night I was on first floor but outside deer ran very close to me...YIKES!
Next time 2nd floor only.
Breakfast buffet overpriced so I got the yogurt..coffee..juice..$25.00 way too much $$

The bedding was super comfortable. The fireplace in our room was awesome! The Festival of Lights just wonderful!!! Huge bathroom with a warm towel appliance a plus. Enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace in the lobby. Good job, Oglebay!

It was fun to stay at a resort in the middle of the attraction we came to see.
The cost of the food and gift shops.

Beautiful decorations
The light tour was hard to see the signs, not sure if we saw it all. We had to call for cups in our room but were brought pretty quickly.

Beautiful hotel. Comfortable rooms. Good location and price. Nice activities and amenities.
Warmer pool. Slightly cleaner room. Slider locks on suite doors (entrance and balcony).

Dinner and breakfast were delicious! Christmas lights and decorations were top notch. Really put us in the Christmas spirit!
Our room was near the lake side entrance and a bus running on fast idle at 7am outside our window woke us.

Did not eat breakfast. Room accommodations were not up to expectations. Requested a room in the main bldg. on the first floor. Sent to the Bird bldg. Very difficult time finding the bldg.,let alone trying to find the room. Staff helped us with the luggage to the room.. Parking sucks. Had to park a long way away from the bldg. The room was very tiny and was supposed to have a refrigerator. The staff brought one to us. Very long walk to exit the building. There are no light signs around the property to identify where you are on the property at night The bathroom was ridiculous. You had to step around the , commode to shut the door. It was a balancing act for sure. The only bright side of our trip was your staff. They were very friendly and accommodating.

There were no breakfast option for a family. I was traveling with my grandchildren for a “ end of summer” overnight. There was an 18.95 buffet offered and a coffee shop with pastries - neither one was appropriate for young children.

Beautiful location and many things to do with family.
Need to make more affordable dining options. The restaurants were excellent but expensive for a family.
Need to manage drunk golfers and groups to not have them around families.
Need to make resort more welcoming to diverse groups and families. Only people of color we saw were employees. Advertising also needs to target diverse groups. This was probably unintentional but including everyone would probably better reflect Mr. Oglebay’s kind vision.

There was a concert in the amphitheater on Sunday night. We ate in 3 of the restaurants and a bar on the grounds. Rode the duck boats at the lake. Had a massage at the spa, and toured the 2 museums. Plenty to do , plus lots we didn’t get to do on this visit.

everything was awesome

Breakfast in the main dining area was interesting...3 days of no wheat toast, last day the only choice was rye bread! The server was overworked, one person taking cure of a party of 30+ family reunion and us. Felt bad for her.
4.1
amount of things to do, size of room, bed quality, wildlife, pristine grounds.
my bathing suit got ruined because the chlorine level in the hot tub was extremely too high. it also made me itch uncontrollably for an hour or so. I mentioned to the maintenance men yesterday morning (after this happened) and they didn't even grunt an "I'm sorry".
4.1

the rest of the room was clean
stage at lake needed to be lite up to see musicians before night fall
